Hello. I have same radio, almost same antenna (HVT-100), and almost perfect SWR. With all of that, almost no contact. With one or two radials, perfect SWR, but no contacts. With multiple radials, SWR is not good. In my opinion, the problem is eficiency, and with only one or two radials, this is the result, regardless on how good is swr. This antena (my antenna), work beautifully on a magnet mount on my car. So the antenna is good, but dont forget about the other half of it...the counterpoise. As manny as possible.
