Karen was there from the beginning, starting as an assistant to Jeff Franklin on the pilot and working her way up to production manager and producer. Her and Dave reflect on the incredibly supportive family atmosphere that was fostered on the set of Full House and laugh about behind-the-scenes moments, including the efforts producers made to encourage the show’s child stars and keep them happy. Plus, Dave talks about his trip to Japan and seeing the incredible fan response to the show.

Hi, Dave! I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but I wanted to say thank you for everything. Even though I wasn’t born until after the show ended, it has been a big part of my childhood. Also, I am very happy because recently, I’ve been able to watch full house with audio description on HBO Max. I am visually impaired, and this is something I’ve never been able to do With this show specifically because it’s never been available until recently. I feel like I know so much more that’s happening on screen and it’s really helped me understand what’s going on. Thanks again and I look forward to more episodes of your incredible podcast.

I've been sitting here going back & forth about deactivating my (basic) Hulu subscription, which I only had solely for Full House. I may wind up doing that because I ❤️ watching the show.

30:45 Dave discusses his famous end-credit voiceover heard at the end of each episode. Those voiceovers defined my childhood and were my introduction to Miller-Boyett and Lorimar Television.
I hope more shows follow Full House model. A lot of people call it sappy but it was actually wholesome and full of love and support and we need more of that
Yes, Fuller House didn’t have that. Fuller House was entertaining but it paled in comparison to the original show

@@Jenna.g.85 and now they’re wanting to bring Fuller House back… especially Candace Cameron 🙄 look, it was cool that they were able to do a sequel series but it’s over now, they need to move on and put the show to rest… if they continued to make the show they’d just be dragging it at this point. They just need to stop and let us cherish it. That’s what happens when you drag out a Tv show or movie franchise for too long, you start to hate it and it takes away from what made the original so great
@@nsasupporter7557 I hear what you’re saying. Fuller House didn’t follow the vibe of Full House like I hoped it would. It ended up being about the new kids and changing what we loved about the original characters too much although I think they nailed it making Kimmy a party planner,seems very her. I know they are considering Fullest House but not sure what they would do with it and now that Danny is gone that stinks

But he changed his mind now that Bob Saget is gone… but Candace Cameron has in her mind that Bob Saget would want the show to keep going. I think that’s just wishful thinking on her part, she needs to come out of fantasyland.
Yes, speaking of Kimmy I finally saw how Andrea Barber is in real life and she’s SO DIFFERENT from Kimmy lol 😂 she’s actually normal in real life, she’s not wacky and awkward like Kimmy is.

I do believe this was recorded a while ago. Definitely before the strike because when they paused it many episodes were already recorded and possibly before tannerittos recorded their first episode.
Another great episode! Not sure if I'm the only one having a hard time hearing the guests sometimes as maybe they are too far from the mic, the sounds goes in and out if they turn their head or move?

The reason why this podcast was on hiadis was most most likely legal issues. Promoting of folks and other approvals. Just getting clearance. Glad things cleard up and love these interviews.
It was because of the actor strike. Most of the rewatch podcasts stopped during that time because they weren’t allowed to talk about shows.
