Tip when you check your oil don’t screw the dip stick in then pull out just put it in till it touches then remove and check level. Also with these bikes it good to check the valve clearance on them soon after you get them as they either wear in very fast or they are just not tightened very well from factory. You will find the bike running rich like it is then it will start cold ok but get harder to start when it hot. Or stall after idling for a min and have poor top end performance. Check the valve clearance before you do any idle or air fuel adjustments .076mm for Intake and .1mm for the exhaust work great on these engines good luck
@@AmillionCo it’s the clearance between the rocker arm and the end of the valve this clearance allows for heat expansion so that the valve closes completely and opens long enough when the engine is hot or cold you must have the piston set to top dead center while on the compression Stroke to do this check or adjustment
I like it when people take care of their rides, even if they are "cheap pitbikes" My pitbike is about sixteen years old and i have welded the frame back together three times. There is no rear brake because the master cylinder got destroyed the last time the frame gave out. I've had it for nine years (it was my older brother's bike before) and i've tried to keep it on the road with as low of a budget as i can. So far, if we don't include oil/fuel, i've spent about 130€ on it: Wheel bearings and axle seals for the front and rear, clutch plates, carb rebuild kit, spark plug and a rear tyre. I've made a chain tensioner and a heavy-duty skid plate using 4mm steel plate, gotten new plastics, sharper footpegs, pneumatic rear shock, hand guards and a new gas tank with a debris collecting valve from a scrap pile, made a new exhaust from a Civic fart can i found and made a rear mud guard from a tractor front fender. She's a total piece of shit for sure and spends more time in the workshop than in the pits but she's got character and she just so happens to be the bike i have. She's not a 450 Honda or Yamaha but she's mine and that's all that matters.
Little tip I learned is to use thicker oil, I’ve used 20-50 in my little tao tao and it runs amazing. I’ve also learned it works well for hot weather on air cooled bikes
@@omarmontana1969 over time it's better to run a slightly thicker oil because tolerances from wear decrease, meaning you would probably burn more oil than necessary in the cylinder.
My Chinese pitbike is a thumpstar.190 Another tip don't ride it like I ride mine and break 3rd gear off 😁. One good thing about having to rebuild my motor is finding out zongshen uses junk valve stem seals. Luckily for me 2018 KTM 250sxf valve seals fit. 😲. Change the oil like every 4 or three months hours of use not every summer and put a plastic grocery bag over The air filter Or else you were going get water in your carb
Probably does but if it's not broken, you can just clean it. I didn't even know these engines had one before cracking open the clutch-side of the case for a rebuild

I put 700ml in my 125 kayo , the owners manual says 06 quarts and then says 900ml on a different page, when I did the first oil change 700ml drained out and it came from a dealer so I’ve just stuck with 700 since the manual is unclear, if u over fill it it will foam up and leak out the vent drain up top
So I have a ssr 110 and the chain snapped off and there was parts missing to it so I threw it away. Now I can’t find a chain that will fit the bike. Do you know where I can buy a chain for it?
Fishing Frenzy might be better off breaking your own chain. (Find a motorcycle model that uses a longer chain, buy that chain and then break the chain to your proper length)
don't know too much about and about pit bikes what can an upgraded high quality exhaust improve speed at least 5 10 miles an hour for acceleration at least

Adjust the chain by having weight on the bike. When there is no weight there is suppose to be a little slack

Will crf50 style plastics fit on the bike?

How often to change the oil how many miles or hours?
I think it says 500km

Did you tune the carb? if not then you are probably running too lean, needs more fuel. All engines hate running lean because it generates excess heat.
I’m used to sbc spark plugs and half a turn made me cringe then that extra eighth turn killed me lol
I was thinking the same he put it on too tight
Hey mate, nice video !
I have a question how much did you spent for your SSR?
Cem Kaya there like 1300 bot u could get em for like 600
Matt Cat thank you for your response. Yeah I just wanted to know bc I saw one for under 500€ (without shipping)
I bought mine from a local dealer for around 700-800 USD. I maybe have put in $ 100 in upgraded parts so far

do u add that gas to both tanks? and that is 4 stroke gas right
What size rear sprocket 48
What is the yearly maintenance cost? Roughly?
I heard the ngk 9 to 7 was the best
instead of changing the spark plug after every season, set up your carburetor right.
