Broken cups do have a target market! If they’d include repair tools: “Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as Kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"),[1] is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maki-e technique.[2][3][4] As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.[5]” -Wikipedia
The funny this is, I feel like this is common everywhere. (foreigners or out-of-staters) knowing more about a country or place than the people that live there. I feel like sometimes its because we live here so in our minds "we've seen it all" or we're just straight up oblivious because we're busy with work and not able to enjoy where we are. Whereas when you're a foreigner, you kind of study up on a place, find things to do, and naturally discover things residents might not know popped up, etc.
I expected the questions to be about japanese history, traditional culture and stuff like that. Would have been more interesting to see who knows more.
I got a 5/8 on pure guessing. I am an artist that works with glass, but not knowing this answer... Why wouldn't there be a glass torii gate. That would be beautiful... and it was... yeah... lucky on that one.
In 2003, Adelaide in South Australia, ran out of beer during it's weekend of the Rugby World Cup, they had to truck beer in from the countryside and interstate to keep up with the demand. And yep, I was there when it happened. FAD Bar Weymouth represent.
Love these videos. BTW, I was clicking through the links in the description and Shiori's link is on InstaGARM. My computer didn't like that. Maybe want to change that?
I enjoyed this and think you should make it a series, but the sound was like you're all in the bathroom, too echoey in that room and couldn't really hear the presenter asking questions or Emma and Jon very well and then Shioro and Kanako was to loud, not a negative, just assuming you were having sound issues that day. I was having to turn the vol up and down. Haha. Oh also the kit kat, sounded more like a fruit bar than a veg juice bar, imo. ;)
It's more about guessing right then really knowing about Japan. Almost no japanese wouldn't know most of this question. It's just too random. But it's a good game and video.
I feel like this video was just a coin toss simulator between two teams because these questions were so far out there it is hard for most people to know the answer.
Is it only me or isn't there something uncanny about Jon. He looks so much like Charlie from Charlie and the chocolate factory! Search for Freddie Highmore, it's scary how look a like they are!
How many questions did you manage to guess right? Should we make this a series? Let us know!
What was the inappropriate music Emma's friend played at the stereo Tori gate????😮
Got 6 points 😁. I am planning a trip to japan soon
I got 5. I would love this as a series.
I got 4.
I got 5/8. Really interesting quiz of factoids. This would be a great series!
Shiori is one of the reasons for the beer shortage in Japan.
no wonder why, she’s built like a rugby player!
I'm not surprised. 😂😂😂
Sorry Jon! You’re more than just ‘this guy’ 😅😅😅
such a joker
Hmm, nah... "this guy" pretty much sums it up perfectly.... xP
Haha.
No he's not ._.
2:32 "Beacause Japanese People are weird dakara..."
-Shiori 2019
Me and Kanako need to do revenge match with non - Japanaese team! Let's make it as series!
Hi Shiori!!! >◆
Shiori that is a fantastic idea! Chris Okano what do you think? 👍
はいー!!
So good having Jon on this show, he's just like this guy... 🤣🤣🤣
Jon a.k.a. "This Guy" >_
“Japanese people are weird だから” I laughed too hard at this 😂
"im sorry for not knowing " things"
me, litterly when i was in school🤣😅
Shiori at 7:18 saying 'waa sugoi ne' when realized she has been cleaning her 'oshiri' with 'okane' couldn't be cuter even if she tried

Natasha was great at presenting questions
**goes to Emma for dating advice**
Emma: “have you tried writing your number on a toilet wall?”
Me: 😳
We demand more Jon in the videos!!!
Jon is great
8:24 "It could be prettyだけど" That is so cute !
ok im back. i just had to pause the video so i could find out how to ship toasted pudding kit kats to australia 🤤 🍫
Only through those monthly candy boxes from Japan. If you do find a supplier let me know. Ive had them before. Its amazing.
1) did they arrive 2) how were they?
Jon looks like Benedict Cumberbatch xD
He looks like this guy...
Thanks! I was wondering who he reminded me of but could not figure it out. I kept thinking he looked like a British band member from the seventies.

The foreigners didn't know more, they were just better at guessing!
I expected the questions to be about japanese history, traditional culture and stuff like that. Would have been more interesting to see who knows more.
I agree. This was basically just a guessing game, anyone could win.
they had an video about Japanese laws which was amazing
“Because Japanese people weird, だから” 😂😂 I love Shiori!
I got 5/8.
This was so much fun and I loved all the hosts and guests!
Im watching loads of old episodes atm and they are still so much fun! TC is creating timeless enjoyment here on yt! 👏👍🍿
Great team you got there!
'Cus Japanese people weirdだから 😂😂😂
As a japanese, she still think they are weird
Great Video!
Jon & Kanako are awesome and Emma & Shiori are always amazing.👍👍
more of these videos featuring Kanako please
Well done Kanako! More Kanako and Jon please!
Always love your quiz shows. More of those, please! :D
3:05
From now I will only celebrate my victories doing a magnificent Shiori Victory Dance :3
More Jon or RIOT!
Great to see this guy in a video again! 😌
Lol Jon is just this guy XD
Shiori :) have to give it a like👍👍👍
liking how you have the question on screen, but is it possible to mic the person who is giving out questions next time ??
2:34 "because japanese people weird dakara" yes indeed lols XD
I dunno who Jon is, but I like him. Bring him back for more videos!
The beer question I just knew because I'm a rugby fan and rugby fans drink A LOT
I feel like broken cup vending machines would be great for kintsugi enthusiasts.
Right! I was thinking the same thing. Or some kind of crane game... Which one will you get?
I feel like you could have a normal cup vending machine that just drops the cup, then they can save money on pre-breaking the cup.
I feel like shirori is vibe twining with natsuki and natasha is totally twinning with ryotaro!
Never realised how twinny jon and emmas vibe is till this episode! U guys are even twinnin with ur styles in this too 🤣👌
I got a 5/8 on pure guessing. I am an artist that works with glass, but not knowing this answer... Why wouldn't there be a glass torii gate. That would be beautiful... and it was... yeah... lucky on that one.

I think you guys should do a video about very unknown Japanese snacks and you have to try them. That would make for a fun video for a lot of people.
I pretty much guessed them all correctly... Mostly thanks to watching Abroad in Japan and Tokyo Creative videos for the last couple years or so, now.
"Shortage of beer" Shiori's nickname.
Shiori's faces and funny comments are the best lol, definitely puts a smile on your face
I live for Shiori!!!!
Love these videos. BTW, I was clicking through the links in the description and Shiori's link is on InstaGARM. My computer didn't like that. Maybe want to change that?
Where is the Stereo Torii Gate located?
It was in Kamiyama-cho in Tokushima prefecture, but I have read that typhoon hit the Torii Gate and damaged a lot ;(
@@littlegiantshiori1410 Thank you :)
hahahaha this was fun and funny!!!
can we like get more info on that Speaker Torii?
Jon is like if the government built a normal guy robot
Laughed at this video made my morning great thanks
楽しかった~
Next time, can you mic the person in the back reading the questions? They were kind of hard to hear.
I love Emma's shirt. I want one 🤤
Sound could use some remixing. It's a lot of varying volumes and it's very hard to hear the questions being read, but otherwise, really fun game :)
Shiori and Natsuki colaboration? I'll wait
Still having a hard time saying Kanako's full name, BUT I WILL GET THERE!
You should definitely make it a series!
Other weird jobs that really exist in the world: chick sexer, banana gasser, and armpit sniffer.
6/8, and I live in Scotland.
It's more about guessing right then really knowing about Japan. Almost no japanese wouldn't know most of this question. It's just too random. But it's a good game and video.
Jon looks like DOCTOR STRANGE
i hoped there would be historical questions and i could learn a thing or two.
Not knowing about the KitKat proves nobody of the contendors watched Abroad in Japan where he would tell you exactly this 😉
Jon really looks like Benedict Cumberbatch 😍
Us brits drank all the beer sounds right!
“I didn’t drink that much!”
Listen to the brit Emma.
Liquid onigiri?! I've never seen that sort of things. Hmmm I do prefer just ordinary onigiris.
I feel like this video was just a coin toss simulator between two teams because these questions were so far out there it is hard for most people to know the answer.
Liquid onigiri... Interesting haha
Coincidently, I just came across it 30 minutes ago and my friend nearly puked... LOL >_
@@zam023 haha oh dear! I'll try it one day... For science
I got six out of eight correct. Not bad for a guy who gets most of his knowledge about Japan from Facebook and Chris Broad...
"Liquid Onigiri"... Is that a Rice Pudding.?
I talked with one guy from japan and he had no idea about tama cat
I got 2 right
I can confirm that all non-Japanese people are actually Australian, they just don't want to admit it.
Person reading questions has Singaporean accent. True or False?
Shiori vids best vids
Game suggestion: Visit the vending machine with girls phone numbers, call them, and quiz them about Japan 😆
I got a 6/8.
Is it only me or isn't there something uncanny about Jon. He looks so much like Charlie from Charlie and the chocolate factory! Search for Freddie Highmore, it's scary how look a like they are!
Shiori speaks like a Weeb with her half-English half-Japanese. But it's cute.
Technically Team Non-Japanese didn't know more than Team Japanese, they were just best at guessing. Still fun to watch though!
jon could be benedict cumberbatch's twin
torii signify shrines not temples. love the vid as always. very fun and entertaining! for the love of pineapple please lose the flesh backdrop! :P
This was fun but it was more...who knows more weird things than proper Japanese things.
Wouldn't a dog be a better taste tester for dog food?
I got 5/8 lol i just went true every time
10:14 Natasha speaks auch Deutsch???
Omfg that glass gate! 🤩 Beautiful
I got 5 points😂
Nice Video! But it would help the flow of the video if you could actually understand the person reading the questions (Natasha?)...
If there was a beer shortage in England there would be riots on the streets
i feel like u should of done natsuki for tjis video
Reads title: weeaboo says no
It's not much of a "knowledge" test when both teams are just guessing the answers.
If i see how wasted Japanese men get after 1 beer, i can't realize there was a shortage of beer!
People be naked for sashimi.
I am a simple man, I see Shiori I watch. Just kidding, I actually enjoyed the video 😁
It should have been japan history...🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
lol. its funny how team western seems more mannered and reserved compared to team japanese being outgoing. stereotypes reversal XD
