Hero power Mage I remember playing against a lot in Alterrac and Voyage. Voyage makes me remember big Mech Paladin - big Mech Paladin would be fun to see
When the three cost ice block gets popped it's convenient to have a zero mana one to play afterwards. If hand space isn't an issue it's generally a good idea to save zero mana plays until you need them, although there are exceptions.
Rookie mistake buffing the hero power so high, now you can't get an honorable kill with it anymore for +2 damage!

Have you thought about Coldarra Drake for this deck? It lets you use your hero power an unlimited amount of times! Definitely a good fit
