- Dali Mpofu has admitted that the party received money from the now defunct Venda Building Society (VBS) Bank.
Mpofu says this as the VBS matter has resurfaced following the leaked and explosive affidavit by former chairperson of VBS Mutual Bank and Vele Investments Tshifhiwa Matodzi.

I think the EFF wanted to distance itself from VBS by taking the donation through Sigameka. But the problem is the media was and still is painting this scandal as EFF looting, while a majority of the beneficiary are also from the ANC. The public deserves equal coverage of all the people involved in this, not to single out some.

There is a 200 plus pages of the affidavit about how the money was stolen by various people and most within the ANC, and even the corruption within the South African banking industry. It is my personal opinion that the South African Bank industry is one of the most corrupt institution in South Africa, when you also add what they did with Rand Manipulation.
