That's a good question! The table is made with commercial grade tempered glass, so it's very scratch resistant. It's made to have objects on top. We would suggest smoothing out the foil on the bottom to avoid any jagged edges as good practice and so that the tracking is smooth. But in general, the table is made to handle objects on top.
I'm a software developer and have played TTRPGs since the 70's. I can hired people to install this product but I cannot discern how to use the software to convert or author adventure modules into the (apparent) VTT software framework you are using as I've yet to see anything in your videos on this subject. I'm also heading into retirement soon. Can you expand on that software framework so I can research the IDE before I lay out this much of an expense, please?
@@tooncraft3d the copper foil being visible at the top of the base is necessary for the tracking function to work. That said, anyone using this on their minis is free to place and trim their tape as they please.
