I believe our vision is fixed on Christ, and I become the embodiment of the law, which is perfect, created to lead us to a peaceful, loving, fruitful life.
So, I have struggled w/ this for as long as I can remember. I have been praying for God to help me to love Him for ever. The Bible says “Ask and you shall receive.” This verse means that if what I am asking for is God’s will, I will receive it. I have not received this love that I have asked for. I struggle to keep God’s law and being honest, there are some of God’s laws that I do out of obligation because I was told the more I do God’s law, my love for God will grow and soon I will want to. How long does that take? It hasn’t happened yet. How do a strengthen my relationship w/ God, how do I love Him w/o God giving me that love that I’ve asked for?
The fact that you are praying about it. All will be well. By praying God Himself will avail His warmness to warm your life atmosphere to enjoy more His laws.
Other thing is sometimes we perceive God as we perceive our earthly parents. But Jesus Christ tells us that if our parents being evil give what more our Heavenly Father. What do you think God thinks of you when you are struggling and failing....God is more lovely and loving than our even dear parents hence continue in communion with God as friend, Father and God....
I've recently been on a path of discovery that reveals God's heart and desire to save me. I've been so blessed to realize that God seeks to inject Himself into my life, He wants to walk with me and empower every moment of my life with His love. I've come to understand that God isn't asking me to shoulder the burden of being good, for there is none good, but One. None righteous, but One. None holy, but One. It is ONLY by the acceptance of the only good, righteous, and holy God into my soul that I will be made those things. He is the One that brings along with Himself all those changes to my life and creates in me a clean heart, it is God working in me both to will and do of His good pleasure. The gospel is Christ doing for me what it is impossible for me to do for myself and that is the peace that we all need. God bless and grant you grace!
