This was my first concert for my favorite band in the whole world. I've been waiting for these multicam videos to come out so I can try and find my siblings out in the crowd. We were by the B stage and my little sister and I got to hold the rafts. Thank you so much for this!

The only better concert you’ll ever go to is another Rammstein concert. This has been the case for me since I first saw them in 2011 back when I was still in High School. My parents knew how much it meant to me so they did what they could and got me down to Los Angeles. Their show has consistently gotten bigger & more ridiculously insane. As well as their music. The big spectacle would flop were it not held together by extremely good music. Tool is maybe a close 2nd in the live department but nobody tops RAMMSTEIN.
@@herzeleid9525 honestly I think I'll do just that. I paid for tickets and missed Iron Maiden and Oceano but didn't care cause I always wanted Rammstein to be my first concert since I was 8 years old.

I'm still working on editing all the footage I got from the Chicago, IL show. I definitely don't have this many sources for shots. But for my first run at editing a full concert I think it's coming together pretty well. Was this all footage compiled by fans or were you working with a crew? Pretty good audio too. What kind of mic did you use? I have multi-cams (3-4 depending on the song) done for Armee der Tristen, Zick Zack, Links, Sehnsucht, Zeig Dich, Mein Herz Brennt, and am currently working on Puppe. I also have a placeholder full concert vid with the first 5 songs done and just a stage shot for the rest until I can finish working in the rest of the tracking shots. Even got captions written up to Pussy before I got back to work video editing. Dealing with motion tracking in post production has been insanely time consuming. I'll be looking forward to getting a 30x or 40x series GPU to help bring those processing and render times down.
Well, I work alone hehe; Now I'm working on Mexico City full show mixing the 3 concerts. If you ask the process who I follow to create an multicam video, It's simple, if I can find 2 or 3 videos in a great quality, I start to download and find more videos from an specific concert. In the case of full shows, I only edit Mexico's concerts cuz I'm mexican, and I know who we enjoy and record during the show. I'm working on a general video from the entire tour including the North America shows. I hope this helps you and motive to edit a nice video, and I'll waiting for your concert dude, good luck! ✌️
One tip: less are more. I understand you try your best with the clips, but not in every case you'll stabilize your shoot. Out of YT I work on local tv channel editing the notice for the News, and It's better let the clips with his original move, in other simply don't use the camera's mistakes. On multicam videos you hide that mistakes making the cuts between your clips :)
@@DerRammenStein That's been the bread and butter of my edit so far. I use the stationary stage shot to cut away from the tracking shot if the tracking shot gets too blurry, has a bad zoom, or just shakes too much. I had a 3rd wide angle camera, poor quality res, but it was just another angle to cut between that showed the whole stadium. I didn't use it too often because of the lower quality and then used a lot of film grain to hide the banding. One guy from the same concert reached out to me and sent me his clips. I've been working them in. I didn't feel comfortable snagging other people's clips without permission so it was nice that this fan saw what I had edited so far and wanted to contribute. I would love not to spend so much time motion tracking the camera shake away but I couldn't have a tripod or anything to help stabilize the camera. I also made the mistake of shooting 4k30 initially. Halfway through I switched to 1080p60 and it's insane how much clearer and easier the footage is to work with at 60fps even at the lower resolution. It made a huge difference in the time it took to edit a video when I shot a Joe Bonamassa concert about a month later. I don't think I'll be shooting 4k again for anything that isn't stationary, or until I can afford a 4k60 cam. The other consideration I made in my edits is the captions. I don't like the captions to linger over transitions so I've been very intentional to target transitions between breaks in lyrics. I've been considering using a light film grain in the final edit to bring all the shots together a bit more, and to cut down on the banding that I'm getting once youtube processes the hd video.
@@DerRammenStein It would seem Mexico is really into Rammstein. Our venue wasn't really packed like other venues I saw. The fire marshal in Chicago also wouldn't sign off on the rocket cannon shooting out over the audience and back to the stage for Du Hast. Til just fired the rockets backwards out of the arena instead. So there were several caveats to our show. But as far as the music was concerned they were on point the whole show. Probably one of the cleanest sounding metal concerts I've been too.
