Brand new twitch gamer here, thanks for the info. I'm also a graphic design student so if there's anyone out there that needs anything for their brand HMU, completely free, just let people know where you got it. I'm just looking to build my portfolio while I'm learning from more experienced streamers.

Dude this comment is so sick, I'd love to see what you can do if you would be willing too. Not a big streamer yet though! Regardless, super cool of you

I'm so close to affiliate status on Twitch. I'm stuck at 2.3 average viewers. I only need 3.

I always turn off viewer count, I don't want to feel better or worse because of numbers. Before when I watched vods looking for clips I noticed I didn't talk a lot and now there's only silence if I'm watching cutscenes. I don't have all 8 points yet but I love this content

Love it! Keep at it and yes, talking when the chat is slow is a skill that you’ll build with practice. You got this!!!!

I'm a 2/8, so I have a lot of work to do. I think I do the Social Media and Twitch profile well (although I've taken a little SM break to recharge)

love the viewer count suggestion! A VR-news streamer I watch (@gethip) not only has viewer count off, if it's mentioned, he requests that no one brings up the number. It can be nerve-racking to feel like you dont have enough viewers, but if you have a whole lot of viewers (especially if they are suddenly dropped into your stream by a raid) it can be scary and increase your Stage fright. Imagining you have 10 to 20'viewers allows for a comfortable amount of interaction while also ensuring that you are providing entertainment for the larger group (from what I have seen and heard).

@@happyplacetraveler so true! I actually broke my own rule and had a widget on stream show the viewer count but I’m taking it off!!!

@@Lavonda_Rocks It can wildly fluctuate! I've seen a large-volume streamer dump 400 people into a small streamer who is both petrified and elated... and within 5 minutes this number drops to 200 and the small streamer is mortified "how did i just lose 200 people!?!" But if that same streamer had been dropped 40 viewers and it settles out to 20, the repient streamer doesnt get self-judgmental for losing 20, he/she just thinks correctly, "Just after a raid, lots of members jump off or to another room." The perso doesnt see that this is exactly the same... 50% had almost surely decided to leave at the next raid. The original number of viewers and what settles out doesnt matter and doesnt reflect on the quality of work being streamed. The important part either way is this: you have a lot of new viewers that you need to acknowlege right now! obsession about numbers is counterproductive (it seems, from what ive observed. lol.)
