I've noticed this with a lot of Solo artists like Hwasa, Sunmi, Jennie, HyunA, and others who dance. Cool if you ask me. Edit: Yes, they lipsync, but technically they don't because they don't even move their lips. They just dance to the pre-recorded for the parts where they don't sing. That's why the camera always zoom out during the bridge of Solo and so on.
Sunmi, Jennie, and HyunA lip sync a lot though..? Don't get me wrong, I love them too but they do lip sync. I think Mamamoo is one of the only girl groups who almost never lip sync
So many people are saying how Hwasa is just slaying the stage and how hot she looks AND there is no denying that AT ALL.... but what impresses me is that I can see a different side to her. Just a slightly kiddish and excited side of her which is so happy to just perform. A side of her which is so proud of herself for making it this far and finally getting her well-deserved solo debut. I loved the performance it was so sweet of her to let her backup dancer sing a line near the end. I think Hwa sa is the more realistic idol when it comes to appealing to international fans and thanks to her singing and dancing skills her solo career will be amazing. What I tend to notice from artists that choose to use a handheld mic is that they usually sing live. Not saying anyone using wireless mic doesn't sing live (refer to Hyolyn singing Dally live, but it's no surprise, everyone knows she can sing)

personnally i do understand solo stans but only if the said member they stan has solo projects on the side and it suits their style better than his/her group projects and as long as they don't disregard the rest of the group and their music. But then again that's not really staning since staning means following EVERYTHING about x group/soloist which would then mean staning the group of the idol they "stan" as whole. If not then they don't stan them but are just simple fans or people who simply like their music as it is: music. And when it comes to musical tastes there's nothing to say about it tbh, everyone has their own preferences and we should all be able to respect that.

personnally i do understand solo stans but only if the said member they stan has solo projects on the side and it suits their style better than his/her group projects and as long as they don't disregard the rest of the group and their music. But then again that's not really staning since staning means following EVERYTHING about x group/soloist which would then mean staning the group of the idol they "stan" as whole. If not then they don't stan them but are just simple fans or people who simply like their music as it is: music. And when it comes to musical tastes there's nothing to say about it tbh, everyone has their own preferences and we should all be able to respect that.
