Kenny was really lovable and amazing guy..after watching this interview with Phil Donahue, I found out how that he was really a nice guy. Thanks kenny for sharing your music 🎵🎶 to us.. You are a true legend..you deserved it coz you have a good heart 💜❤️..
That first song was from a movie just coming out that year with Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster named Tough Guys. Kenny Rogers, what a legend. One of the good guys. R.I.P man!

My Dad would have identified with Kenny easily. He grew up broke, eating very little of the same cheep foods over and over again and had 7 siblings close in age. He did what Kenny did (although not reaching the financial heights) and rose above it all suceeding and making sure his loved ones were provided for.
Hi, my name is Robin Durant. May I have a picture of Tim McGraw and faith Hill together there song is let's make love all night long. Thank you Robin Durant God bless you both Tim McGraw and faith Hill
Talk show hosts today should take lessons from Donahue. He asked the tough questions and no political correctness which allowed us to know the real Kenny, faults and all. This was a very humble man making you love him as person as well as my favorite singer. Humility always makes forgiveness easier!!
@@32yvon I am 69 and also listen still. My husband was cremated, I was waiting in parking lot for the first puff of smoke and as it came, Blaze of Glory came on the radio! At his memorial that song was played versus Amazing Grace and I took some negative comments because of it. My husband, Kenny ( in spirit only ) and myself appreciated it. Kudos to your mom!

This was a Kenny Rogers song that I was not very familiar with myself. The song is "They Don't Make Them Like They Used To" from an album by the same title. The album was released on October 23, 1986, just shortly after this show aired. Apparently it was the introduction of the song/album prior to its release.
I'm uploading a couple of WAVY-TV news stories that I have. One is from 1993 and the other is from 1986. Check out my oldest WAVY video, already posted, from 1967. It was a local dance program called "DISC-O-TEN".
For accurate content (even though this is many year's old) Kenny never cheated on Marianne. In her head he did, because Marianne, as beautiful as she was on the outer being, was very, very insecure. And in this microscopic entertainment Industry, if the woman/wife doesn't have her crap together, and own assurance and emotional stability, you will be doomed in that relationship. Sadly Marianne could never get past the touring, interviews, and other females being around Kenny. And further, a man/husband, should never be the all and all and the handler of that woman's inner being. If the maturity isn't there to know the man, and trust the man, nothing will survive. I know Kenny always took the majority of the responsibility of the failed relationships, but it's a great reminder that it always takes two to make it work, or fail. You both have to flow in the same direction, otherwise it's aimless. The measuring stick isn't in the failures, but in how the person grows in the experience. And Kenny became the better version of himself because of the hell he went through! I appreciated him for that!! The "Mistress" between them was always his career and ambition. Did Marianne "deserve" all that he lost in the divorce? Probably not. What she loaned him, or gave him, never exceeded his payout to her. Kenneth Ray was light and honesty; the real deal. He always had purity of heart; never a selfish part in him. I miss him every day. So grateful I encountered this gorgeous man. I know he's singing with the angels in Heaven, unto Our Lord and Savior 🙏♥️ 💋
He was a different person after surgery I also think that they get that time his health went at the very same time I really do I’d give anything if I knew who that doctor was and then how do you take somebody that is so handsome and you’re supposed to be number one in your field and you turn them in to Sunday that’s Harley even noticeable
I only started he stayed married to Mary and then he wouldn’t have that surgery there’s been no need for it him the only thing I thought about his work is when he would gain an enormous amount of weight and then it would show up on his face like all of us
Only in his looks, his personality was the same. Although when you look at his face it didn’t seem like it was him. But he was still that same sweet guy. That we all knew and loved. He was a good looking man. And had a good voice, especially his love songs. Rest peacefully, Kenny ❤️✝️
Thanks for posting! If you have a second, I uploaded a cover of 'True Colors'. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you would check it out. It's on my channel. Hope you enjoy. Don't go too tough on me :)
My wife and I loved Kenny Rogers music. She passed away two and a half years ago from leukemia. So she got to meet him before I will
I'm so sorry. Hugs from 🇳🇦

Well Kenny and Marianne divorced in 1993, and she got some money. An estimated $60 million.
Kenny made a mistake and cheated on her. Kenny said she deserved the money, because when they met he was broke and she helped paid his child support.
@@lindasmith3391 yeah that's worth 60 million alright. Typical woman response

Dan Akroyd shouldn’t have been in We Are the World, over John Denver.
This man was so handsome but then he went and did plastic surgery and he was a different person altogether.
