Thanks, I know this page where they show the transceiver including manual and firmware. But where can one buy this interesting TX-500 transceiver? Or if I may ask in other words: where did you get it from?
@@r9jc18 OK, thanks for the information! Seems like a race between TX-500 and IC-705 😉 The user manual of the TX-500 looks already promising! Both transceivers have their pros and cons. The TX-500 is much lighter and consumes less RX power, ideal when hiking in the mountains. The IC-705 has some nice modern features plus VHF+UHF, great for shorter hikes and operating in the shadow, due to its display. Both do not have an internal tuner, which is no problem for me, since I build and use resonant multi-band antennas. I'm just eagerly waiting for Independent tests for both of these transceivers. This year will be great for new QRP rigs!
@@stephanschmid4230 There are corrections after the tests, all this is taken into account so as not to be revoked back, because it cannot be fixed with firmware.
Thanks for the video, Eugene. Beautiful location. A little warmer than Chernaya last month!
Nice video!
Interesting, Eugene!
