It’s true, when buying an any phone in general it’s better to stick with one from a con current model. iPhone X - 16 will always be in that range. I’ve been with my 11 for 5 years now, fully jailbroken and everything works fine. No need for a new one until the next model change. But you do you, personal preference.
Yeah, I’ve been hearing the same thing about them doing away with the Dynamic Island. The only thing that I’m concerned with is price. If their prices continue to go up, I’m seriously considering switching to OnePlus.
Interesting that people are comparing two devices that do not share comparable FaceID technology, and complaining that the functional accommodation to allow the technology to work and be secure are compromising the aesthetics of the screen… 😂
I am going based off of just supply chain rumors and speculation. Plus budget-friendly android phones are even getting 120 hz displays, so by iPhone 17 it should be a standard. The Pro iPhones will still be enhanced with even nicer displays to combat the base models

Waiting for circular cutout. It looks like iphone is far behind the android. Using Samsung and very happy with it but ones I want to use iphone but it should be in simple design.
If I remember correctly it’s because with all the sensors and stuff even if you could disable the software for the Dynamic Island it would still basically be the same just quiet a bit ugly and non functional

Not skipping every year, hoping the one after is better in some other way. With IOS 18 now announced, I would ceerainly say however to skip if you have a 15 Pro, any older & requires upgrade.
I have the 13 Pro Max (3 years old this Sept) Deciding if I should upgrade to 16 Pro Max or wait another year and upgrade directly to 17 Pro Max. Simply because the phone design and looks have been the same since 11 Pro Max except minor changes so no one even cares which one it is. Only the notch changed to dynamic island in the 14 series. The camera setup and back look has been the same since 5 years. So if it doesn't change in the 16 series, it is highly likely to be changed in 17 series next year and I won't want to be stuck with an old one and obviously upgrading every year doesn't make sense as Apple products are meant to last. My 13 still works as good as a new phone and gets the work done.

I love this video! I have a 8 plus because I can’t stand the notch or island. I’ve been waiting for years for them to atleast go to a hole punch. But at this point I’m on my second 8 plus because the first on got worn out. And now this 8 plus is worn out and I can’t do all the software updates etc. so I will be buying a 16 pro max. But if the 17 pro max has a hole punch I’ll be upgrading again. But if it’s just slightly smaller I will probably pass and wait until a hole punch or a full screen with no cut out at all.. in other videos I watch it seems like no one talks about what your talking about and your video gives me hope that we’re moving in the right direction. In my opinion, speaking of the Telephoto lens, it's a downgrade to the Iphone 17 pro model. I'm someone that don't like the Pro Max models due to fitting on my small hand. It feels nowedays like you're forced to buy the Pro Max model to have those features. What stands the term 'Pro' for if they even distinguish the Pro from the Pro Max one? 🙄
