    Hay, I’am a devotee of Swami Muktananda and spent time at his ashram years ago. When he unfolded his Kashmir Shaivism teachings I fell in love w the philosophy/religion back in the early 80s. Really enjoyed your presentation. This was my first time hearing what you have to say. You covered a lot of ground in your talk. I’am sure it was over the heads of lots of folk but being into this stuff for a long time I was able to follow you completely. You’re a real talking head. Keep up the good work. One book that helped me with Kashmir Shaivism that I can recommend to seekers is
    Consciousness Is Everything by Swami Shankarananda (a devotee of Muktananda). Om!

    48:24 Yes, the "bodies" doctrine(s) are very fascinating, especially the Kabbalah's ideas of the "Tzelem" as you mentioned, and the "Merkabah". In most Western Occult Science (Western Mystery Tradition) and traditional Magick and Hermetic Alchemy, the "Body of Light" teaching is also very important for that particular Path. See the book "The Tower of Alchemy" by David Goddard. 🐉🐲🔥

    7:03 ofcourse we are all that. that's the entire reason to do spiritual practices. There's no harm in accepting one's weaknesses for the sake of improvement.
    And God isn't far away. It is precisely that we are agyani that we do not see God here and now. Prahlad Maharaj saw God everywhere because he was doing the spiritual practices of remembering and worshipping God.

      Spoonfed the Yogi --
      flexing reflecting lingua
      suffers to explain.
      In complain smite
      argues to pick cherrytrees
      to growl onions...
      There is no God;
      dead is the meddling scholar.
      Real but a flavour.

      The Sleeping Poet, kissed by her Sophia;
      awakened was Poetry, to exalt her Grace.
      Whimsically, she conjures shapes, though sigh --
      but a stature is her idol, manifest in its blight.
      My Poet, the Knight in shrive irony, in his dograce --
      chasing after the white rabbit. Just to lie defaced...
      Headless and armless, in thy own temple transmogria!
      Then the Poet awakened at last, was poetry asleep?
      Just like Dusk and Dawn, who never could D&D together;
      but a kiss, a glimpse of a flow, was their stake so steep.
      Throwing up meanings and contemplations for the reap.
      Tempting with excessive joy, those, who cannot weather
      the eye of the scorn, to Tat Twam Asi. For what is pleasure,
      to whom whishes to sit in the fiery oven, instead of safekeep?

      btw. Vision of Japha is comparable to Om Namah Shivaya the basis of the pagan mission and why Christianity moved away from Judasim. He who understands that vision, understands the essence of Christian mission and how Jesus is the Bread of Life.

    1:04:15 A subset of an infinite set may be finite or infinite. This is maths. So, God has parā and aparā energy. So, while God is infinite, His aparā energy is this material world.

    58:01 If doctors say that you have two kidneys but you argue that you have three, then you're a fool. Science applies to all. That's why we need to give spiritual references. Sabda pramana. Scripture is as good a source of evidence as Science. If a person thinks he can know God by mental speculation, he's a fool, so say the scriptures.

    57:07 This consciousness is not different than that consciousness. However, the individual minds are always attached to their respective souls (consciousness), thus making karma work. Otherwise, let a soul choose to do sins and when he is going to be reincarnated into lower life form, he can say to Yamadūta, "there's no difference between this consciosuness and that consciouess, so why don't you be punished instead of me?" This attachment of the mind to its respective consciousness stops only when that particular consciosness gets merged into Brahmajyoti because mind/intelligence for that soul will be destroyed and he shall lose his identity.

    Interesting but you exhibit an over active mind. All this philosophy but have you ever entered Samadhi so deep that there is not even a Self that recognizes the non dual. This experience resolves all these philosophic issues. When there is a dissolving of any idea of an individual self then dualism falls apart and the experience of the Non Dual emeges. This experience is not that there in nothing out there but what is out there and what is in the mind is all one Being. Our experience of a dual reality is no more than the result of layers of dualistic thought. But even that is the result of the non dual activity of the non dual. And what is the Self, it is everything as the One. You can personify the One and call him Buddha, Shiva, God or nothing it doesn't matter.

      Imagine a bee buzzing happily. One day he lands on a flower and starts sipping honey. While he sips the honey all buzzing stops. He becomes perfectly still. All is silent as he enjoys. Then, drunk on the honey and fulfilled, he steps off the flower and begins to buzz happily again, this time describing the honey 🍯 he has had to one and all!

      The tantric way is also movement, activity. Shakti moves, energy is active. Shiva is still, watching the movement.
