I purchased one of these Solax Mobility Scooters in March 2023. (1) I found the basket to be a nuisance when folding the chair down so I fitted two S shaped hooks to the handle and secured them in place with zip ties. I hang shopping bags from the hooks. (2)The two hollow rivets in the trailing wheels sheered off when I accidentally went down a low step, I replaced them with nuts and bolts. (3)The two foot plates became loose due to tiny machine screws working loose due to road vibrations, they fell out never to be seen again. My local hardware store was unable to replace them as being ‘factory manufactured screws’ the gauge is somewhere between 3mm & 4mm. If you haven’t already done so, I suggest you tighten these screws and place a drop on Super Glue on the threads to stop them working loose. Having lost the original screws I chose to increase the hole size with a 4mm Tap and use standard 4mm screws. (4)The remote control exploded in my car and bits went in all directions, when I found the front and rear moldings I discovered the three tiny screws that hold then together were missing. I did however manage to find the printed circuit unit so am able to open and close the chair ok however I have been waiting a month for the remote control to be replaced under warranty. In doing so I have discovered Solax Customer Service is Abysmal.

What does the small ram on the tiller do? Mine has ultra light steering to the point of being scary. Also when folded you can see the ball race and balls surely not right?

Technically yes it can be.
You need to ride the scooter and let us know if it is a smooth ride, can it ride over grass, how is it at the mall, airport?

only one problem, those wheels are not pneumatic and transmit all vibration.
