You should thank the neighbor for putting on a show and giving your crew a hard time. It turns out his drama not only entertained the internet, but also boosted your views, which means more $$$ for you.
You have to be respectful etc. but progress cannot cease because one, or even a couple of people, don't want some noise etc. around for a few days, or nothing would ever be achieved in this world.
Next time you have this problem with a neighbor or anyone please audio record the whole conversation and make its own video I will listen to every minute😂
I like how the neighbor knows how long a concrete job should take when he knows nothing about concrete. I'm a 25 year Journeyman Glazier, and there are plenty of times when customers or neighbors think they know how to do my job.
Love how the guy says it should’ve been done in 3 days! 😂 guy has absolutely no clue what work this kind of job entailed. You guys are better than me. If you guys were working at my house and the neighbor was acting like that you wouldn’t have to deal with him. I would take care of it. You shouldn’t have to put up with harassment while doing your job. Anyway, you guys do amazing work and this job turned out incredibly successful for what you went through.
To The Bad Neighbor: People need to understand work needs to be done and most trades people try their best do good work in the shortest possible time. Time is money and he should have understood that. Contractors are not going to extend the time without good reason.
Bro works inside his house but knows how long it takes to tear out a crap load of concrete, grade form and pour all of it, and finish it. What a nozzle.
Well, crabby neighbor aside, y’all did your usual beautiful work and I believe this project is one of your best ever upon finishing! I loved how client had the white finish and tile around windows and this glorious concrete work made it absolutely perfect! As I’ve gotten older, having less lawn to tend would be fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to video this great project!❤❤❤
The jackass neighbor is more than likely that way with everyone. No one can make noise, improve their property except him. If it were him doing the revamp, he would have no problem with any and all noise. So, I believe your remakes to him were spot on. When I worked construction in the 70s to 2000, we would have sent him packing the very first day. If he did not get the message, we would have parked every piece of equipment in front of his house, turned on the radio, etc.
Outstanding work by the whole team and you set a great example for how to deal with the neighbor.Everyday has a different problem and you have to find solutions,You did awesome staying in control, merry Christmas!
The 1st day of that guy I would have lost it on him. You and your brother have more patience than I do. As usual you guys did a great job. Thanks for sharing.
"Misery loves company". "..who the hell cements all the way up to their front door...? ......none of your business :) It is good that you did finish that job, well done nd beautiful as always!.
You guys do beautiful work. It’s pretty normal to run into a bad situation every now and then but for that guy to say that you should have been done in 3 days is ridiculous.. I know you are happy to be out of that situation and hopefully the home owner had Check in Hand as you were pulling away. Keep up the great work!!
Old Daren the Karen has no kind of social life. He needs to cause chaos so he has some type of fulfillment in his life. The job turned out great as always. Keep up the great work, you guys rock even with the drama queen.😅😅
Gee I can't understand why his neighbors don't want to have any conversations with him.....😂😂😂....."My serenity has been gone for days, weeks and months."........LMAO......Now he's saying weeks and months?
The man never had serenity. It's been gone ever since he fell out of his crib when he was 6 months old. By the way anti-anxiety medications are available through a shrink.
the neighbor just got a big improvement to his property value if he ever sells. It didn't cost him a penny out of his pocket except a little serenity out of his life.
Excellent job! Can't please everyone in life. Just be glad he ain't your neighbor. I'm sure he'd find something new to complain about way after you have left.
With all that nice new concrete the owner should put up a basketball hoop and get all the neighborhood kids to come play ball every day and bounce the ball endlessly on the concrete. That should push the neighbor the rest of the way over the edge.
We called them NIMBYs ( not in my back yard ) they have theirs and don’t want anyone to have anything new .plus I think it helps the value of the neighborhood to make the appearance nice too
You need to check local codes. in many city's its illegal to pave your whole front yard. usually they will have a percentage and if you go over it. They will make you remove it.
Geez, we've had heaps of works done at our house, including excavation and concreting, we pre-warned our neighbours but they're all cool anyway. Cant imagine living next to such a pearl clutching neighbour. Heaven forbid he'd get any work done at his house.
QUESTION: Do you think it could’ve helped if you told the neighbor at the beginning that it’s going to be a 4-5 day job? With guys like that I don’t think you can win, but it might’ve taken the temperature down a couple of degrees. Most people can withstand more if they are told up front what is going to happen and then it happens like that.
This neighbor has been a nightmare for every person he has ever been in contact. Employees, coworkers, employers, neighbors. Never apologize for doing the right thing. He's the guy that is in the camp of The walking Dead complaining about the little girl that eats too much.
Remember hearing about a guy near where I live complaining that the contractors across the street building a new house were making too much noise. Like really dude.
Usually in here in NZ when construction work is done in residential areas the owner and Construction Company would give Neighbours warning of disruption and noise beforehand work starts by knocking on doors with a letter to sign just in case someone is medically dependent and needs to be warned beforehand out of courtesy, and respect, to avoid any conflicts, even though you don't have to under law, listening to this Neighbour, seems none of this happened, to avoid any conflicts, this approach would seem advisable, the Neighbour has the right to be angry, he is clueless about concreting and should have been informed, Hey Disgruntled Neighbour, Dude put on a pair of earmuffs, WHY IS HE THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING, and respect for trying to make amends.
Cracking looking job guys !! Shame for the clown next door though and at least you guys are away from there, The home owners on the other hand are stuck with mr entitled clown as a neighbour !!
That neighbor has emotional problems. He could have said at the end, simply, ‘Thanks for letting me know. Take care.’ He is the kind of guy who craves being offended, so much so, he contrives offenses.
What a dweeb that neighbor was. I'm a woodworker working out of my suburban garage, very loud power tools running frequently, never heard anything but compliments from my neighbors. I wonder what he gets out of being like that, maybe hes just bored. Good work fellas, happy holidays.
I wouldn't worry about the neighbor. Some folks are not happy unless they are complaining about something. Its all about control, he just want to try and control something that he is actually jealous about. When this job is over your life will go on, this guys will stew about this in his pitiful life for a long time. Hopefully he doesn't direct his pettiness to the homeowner.
3days ??I’m willing to pay for this person to buy a house next to mine, mainly because there’s a tunnel under construction here that has been ongoing for seven years without completion.😂
The neighbors clearly don’t get along with one another, so next door guy just took it out on you guys. You guys were just caught in the middle. But it turned out great,
Why dont you put your cage on dobies? It can get stepped on and pushed back down during the screeding process decreasing the effectivity of it even being in there. Just curious... Additionally, the job looks awesome and I have to hand it to you all how you handled the @$$#@t next door.
that guy has way deeper issues than his "serenity" being messed up. If he doesn't want to hear construction and noises, then he better figure out where he's gonna live in the mountains.
What a total and complete mangina. Lived next to a "Kevin" like this for 7 years. Everytime I did something outside on my property wanted to know if I had permits, etc. Finally told him at about the 3 year mark I would make him disappear if he continued. I don't know why telling him that worked but it did, never said a word to me until he moved.

He’ll have nightmares about it

Yep, this was pretty much the highlight of his life.
Not to mention people Driving by this guys house just to make noise all hours of the Day and Nite
You should thank the neighbor for putting on a show and giving your crew a hard time. It turns out his drama not only entertained the internet, but also boosted your views, which means more $$$ for you.
You guys handled the whining neighbor like champs. Fantastic job all the way around.
You have to be respectful etc. but progress cannot cease because one, or even a couple of people, don't want some noise etc. around for a few days, or nothing would ever be achieved in this world.
The patience that they exhibited was next level professional!!

what was the radius on those joints?
Are you planning on carrying a spare wand now in the future for the tomahawk sprayer ? Certainly seems that it would be money well spent !

No rebar in the wings? Enjoy your videos! Thanks
City doesn’t like rebar
The neighbor should realize that this job will increase the property value.
Your rebar is most definitely not at the right height 6:04 it’s directly on the ground. The NE-SW rod is laying on the ground at the poured concrete
Optical illusion
3 days start to finish? I’d ask him how many years did he lay concrete?
