@travismaxwell9115 it's because on the Calfornia delta, you focus mostly paralleling grass lines and tulle lines so the guy in the back of the boat gets kind of blocked off from the good casting angles. Your hook up ratio is much higher in a team situation with both guys casting from the front deck.
Spend thousands of bucks on a boat and the winner gets 1000 bucks……something definitely wrong with tournaments…..I catch more fish bass from the banks ….
You stay on the banks if that’s what rocks you socks. Everyone does things differently. Some anglers are too long on the tooth to be shore fishing. Tight lines!!

Plenty of room off the front of the boat…
Casting ahead of the boat, let’s you be in the water for a longer period of time. Fishing the back sucks
