Nice deck! 08:20 Overlord IS a creature because it has the type written on the card. So it enters as a creature. But then, AFTER it entered, the static ability of impending kicks in and says it is (no longer) a creature since THEN are counters on it. The counters are placed AFTER entering. That means, if you have i.e. a Solemnity on the battlefield, saying counters cannot be placed on stuff, the Overlord would enter without any counters and keeps beeing a creature, even cast with the impending costs.
Then why isn't the opponent gaining a life when Overlord clearly enters as a creature and then loses its creature status on board because of impending?
@Orcasgt22 Oh, very good question, didn't realize this! The lifegain was because of the Tokens, not the Overlord itself... I don't see why it didnt trigger...
Same as Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle for exmaple which triggers landfall. Both enter "with" counters (not an etb effect) and are not creatures as long as they have counters. I think it's a status-based effect?
for the last game can win sometimes by killing the omni token in response to the season of weaving as long as they dont have a counterspell or you have multiple removal and enough mana.
You should try a deck with Urabrask's Forge, Vengeful Bloodwitch, and Alesha Who Laughs at Fate. Forge makes attackers that sack each turn, triggering the bloodwitch and you gain life an the opponent loses life. And you can bring back chump blockers like Nezumi Linkbreaker using Alesha's raid.
Love the background music, sounds to me like Kordhell. Keep up the great work man.
I love your new "closeout" video - making it rain mtg cards - it's hilarious and it's you so it resonates!!!
I love it that you're making so much content, keep it up please!

This guy is on a roll
Thats awesome. Like the deck.
First deck I've ever played with TOO MUCH card draw....lmao. I love this deck!!!
keep up the good work!
I can’t get passed that pronunciation of homage! 😂
2x Split Up would work so great with the 4x Authority of Consuls
In that first match, I just kept thinking good thing he didn't play that pain land a few turns ago XD

Nissa is also a good card in this deck. 1x could be nice
Excellent games. I know you didn’t like the last deck, with Abuelo, but I got into mythic for the first time with this deck.
So many of your decks just end up milling themselves 😂
It would be cool if you did a stream reviewing the new set, specially if you are down to do draft as well
Any beans deck is meta I would think. I run into beans/overlords every 3rd game

Watch ashlizzle for that, what you described is a basic rakdos sacrifice deck. There's plenty of those online
Attach a springhearted onto the overlord of hauntwood, not a bad Lil combo
why not add a feldon cane?
Because it's not good enough?
@santylestari7457 thats why i said 1 whith all yhe drawing you will have itnin your hand
@ thats why i said it’s not good enough to have a slot
I notice you don’t ever use the mentor. With all the non creature spells you could really capitalize and it generates tokens So much synergy
Your decks are pure winners. Unlike cgb .
Bean needs to be banned like 60 days ago
No way. Maybe if it was of rare or higher. Super easy to take out enchantments
@@jamricsloe Its text should then read, if you spend 4 mana to cast a card, draw a card.
8:27 The interaction on MTGA is wrong. The opponent should be gaining a life as well or its not tapped. Only doing half the effect is incorrect.
Lost me at BO1.
Omniscience is the dumbest magic card ever printed. Let’s just cast everything for free forever and not even play magic.
