Oh my, what a treat to have found your channel! Thank you so much for the splendid tour of your spectacular garden. I wish I could tour it in person. You showed a number of plants that are new to me. Happy gardening. Your tour has made me very happy.
Your garden is stunning! Just beautiful! The late frost hit us too (glad to know we’re not the only ones!) and has taken out most of the fresh growing tips on the top of our beach hedges ❄️
@@GardeningatDouentza Thanks very much - I really appreciate it! This is the first house we've owned so to have a garden that belongs to us feels really special (and odd to be able to do whatever I want without having to check with a landlord first)!!
I came across your channel today while I was searching how to prune my Black Lace which unfortunately got badly damaged in the strong winds! Ive subscribed straight away and delighted to find an Irish gardner to follow that is down to earth : )
Thank you. Of course, I will. There were a few more garden tours after this one so, in case you're looking for something to watch, here the playlist of all my garden tours... ruclips.net/video/Mzq-QwMPTn0/видео.html
I like your channel because you have so much diversity in your garden. You introduce me to varieties that I don’t know as a new gardener. Also, your garden is so different that the ones in the US, specifically Indiana (6B).
Wow! What a beautiful garden… and in Ireland, an enchanted place to one day visit for my wife and I. Thank you for your videos… I started watching and became a subscriber today after watching your division of the red hot pokers. I’m glad I came across your channel! Looking forward to more of your garden! Have your red hot pokers bloomed yet?
Hi there and thank you for watching and subscribing. I hope my channel will give you lots. The red hot pokers sure did reflower the following year. Here's the video... ruclips.net/video/cVd6shpMTbU/видео.html
Your garden is really beautiful. It seems to be so happy to walk on the grass path. I envy having a garden like this. I like Korean wildflowers. Your video is very interesting. I am looking forward to the next video.
Really lovely Rachel, thank you. I lost my Acer Dissectum, i had pruned it back hard last year and it didn't like that. But my seedling cherry tree flowered for me this year for the first time in 20 yrs! I can see fruits developing! These late frosts can sneak up on you unexpectedly and do a lot of damage. Hope your plants will recuperate from that.
Perfect, just what I needed to ignore my office job on Monday morning. Thanks, Rachel!... also making me jealous as I just replaced all my tired winter/spring plants for my summer plants. Sprout my little seedlings... SPROUT!
Hello, if you like Sedum, there's one, Sedum sediforme, that grows wild where I have my cottage on the roofs, for instance, and I can send cuttings to you, whenever we are allowed to do that again.
Very beautiful garden. I am in the process of setting up my new garden and the plants are just baby plants. Your garden tour give me some idea how my garden could look after many years and also some more plant ideas.
Lots of people leave their dahlias in the ground and I am glad if you are happy with that procedure. Check out my dahlia lifting video if you want to learn more.
Laburnum and Wisteria, two favorites of mine. I hope your Laburnum will continue to perform for you, many years to come and you may enjoy its sweet yellow blooms spring upon spring. However, should it ever decide to give up and pass on, do not discard it. Many artisan woodworkers value it's wood and make lovely pieces from it.
That is good to know, Ben. I know that laburnums don't last indefinately but I will enjoy mine while it is here. It is my son's favourite tree too. Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your day.
Hi Douentza ! Thank you so much for a very beautiful garden tour ! So many exciting plants and flowers !! What are the 2 silvery plants next to the Acer palmatum ? ( 20:15 min. in the video ) Greetings from Norway :)

hello Rachel, I might know the names of your Heucheras from the beginning of your video. The one with the bigger leafs on the right side is Palace Purple and the other ones are Black Beauty.
Woww😍😍😍 what a gorgeous garden. So much hard work has been put in. I should make a garden tour on my channel even though it will be pretty small still cute😇
Thank you so very much for sharing your lovely garden. I had to watch this twice to see everything!! Could I ask you what the plant was at the bottom of your bell? Kind of silvery green with red blooms?
Thank you for such lovely feedback. It is really appreciated. The plant you saw was a helianthemum. It is one for a well-drained site in full sun. It has, however, been a long time since that position was full sun but it still gives me a smattering of flowers. Happy growing.
Symplocarpus foetidus is an amazing plant. Unfortunately it is not wet enough anywhere for it in my garden. Although mine is flowering size, it struggles from the dry conditions and only sends up leaves.
Wow beautiful garden with exotic plants
Thanks for visiting.
What a treat, always so pleasant to walk around your garden. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

Congratulations on the cherry from seed. There are few feelings more satisfying than seeing a tree we grew from seed eventually flower.

Hello Rachel, what a nice garden you've created. What did you wash your Birch trees with? Best regards.
Good morning and thank you for your kind words about my garden. I use a little washing up liquid in a bucket of water to clean my birch trees.

How did you wash the birch trees?
With a soft cloth and a bucket of soapy water.
If I may aks: What ist the plant in front of Hosta Empress Wu at 19:35? The one with yellow, reddish leaves? It looks really nice!
It is Pseudowintera colorata 'Mount Congreve', one for acid soil.
