Wow.....I'm amazed. So so many cool vintage items in there. A real time capsule. Heck most of that looks perfect! They really did think of everything and built that to last.
This is amazing. It looks like the Wyler packaging just didn't hold up as well. I would love to have one of those old hot Cocoa mixes. I think the smell you were getting was from the fuel pots. I would love to see you try some of the stuff but be very careful with the dried milk products. Yes I noticed that too no coffee or tea. I think the fruit is fine I don't think it separated I think it was meant to be packaged with the sugar in it as you need to boil it for a few minutes in water. What an awesome kit thanks for sharing this with us.
Guys I hope you had a chance to see all the cool stuff this kit has. I will be dropping a video of me tasting and preparing the food in here.
Really looking forward to more videos, and seeing the different foods prepared.

I'm gonna do a taste test video on some of the stuff in there. There was to much in boxing time.
@@MorettiPyrotechnicsLLC I would do a whole series on these. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Fire up the stoves, etc. Would be awesome!
@@caseywatson113 my thoughts exactly. It's gonna be my next vid bro.
What a great treasure box of items. The hot cocoa would be a great historic item for display.
Did you get your water? Want me to send you a hot chocolate? I am giving 4 away in case you missed it in the vid
@@MorettiPyrotechnicsLLC yes I got the water on Friday. The hot chocolate would be great with it. Thanks a lot. I did mention hot cocoa in my comment.

Just one word: Woow! Amazing and very unique video, Sir
That was really awesome to see! Thanks for sharing!!
That is very fun to see such an old kit.
That is a good looking 72 hour kit. I wonder how much it cost when it was new... Cool review Shane. Peace ✌🏻
I wish I knew but I would guess 100 dollars
Very cool vintage kit! Great condition! And great review!
This was fascinating where did you find this?
A friend that owns MRE Mountain sold it too me. Thanks for watching.
I wonder if Steve knows about these kits
He did know!!! The guy I got this from is very good friends with him and he was offered these kits first and he passed them up and I snagged them.
Dang that was better than Christmas "FOUR FREAKING DRINKING CUPS!"

I will be testing this out. Next video. It def. Wasn't the fuel tanks. It was the food for sure. Lol
Copy, modernize and upgrade this kit and you would be OK today. Two bonus spoons! Thank you for the review, Shane
Curious what you paid, found two of these in my older house. Label and outside in much better shape.
I got this one for around $60.00 ish dollars w shipping. Hold on to those bad boys they really are a vintage conversation piece.
Crazy how all that stuff looks like it was made like last week!
Awesome video
Have you read that newspaper Shane? That is awesome too !!
Steve1989 be like : let get this out onto all the trays!!!
Yup but I'm not him.
back in it's day I could see it lasting for 4 people over 72 hr's with a the correct amount of water and maybe a better heat source to cook on
Yeah fire would be the best bet. Hence the matches and newspaper plus the 3 stoves to boil water
Hot cocoa. Dunno if you still have them haha
I do lol
Moretti Pyrotechnics and Outdoors haha awesome
Did you try the hot cocoa? If so, how was it? Curious minds want to know. :-D
I did not. I actually gave most away as keep sakes. 😁
@@MorettiPyrotechnicsLLC That is so very cool of you! Happy to have stumbled upon this video. You made my morning.
Cool kit but might be just past best use by date. Lol
All part of the fun : )
