I need big hits so bad, not because I necessarily find Earth/Thunder meta unfun, but I just wanna play my stupid frost bugs again. That said I'd really like some sort of choice restrict over limiting 5 different elestrals. Doing something like "you can play a total of 6 copies between these cards" rather than limiting them all is more interesting for deckbuilding, avoids sacky 1-of scenarios, and avoids overly punishing lower tier decks that are on some of these cards but not the most/all of them. I swear I'm not saying this just so I can continue to play 3 Astrabbit and 3 Eddy in KryoRhino.
@gabekeeter6415 yugioh tried that. Cards like GB hunter just don't work AND elestrals also tried that to stop and ftk. Still didn't work. "Draw the out" will always be worse than just playing the better deck. And sometimes you get the opposite effect where the card you make to counter the meta strategy is too generic, so now that meta deck is now just gonna also run that card and be more oppressive. Bans are the only answer (or rotation preferably)
well the issue is there's a big difference between "Good cards" and "Cards that win the game by themselves". The bottom line is a game needs to be fun for people to want to play it and no one really has fun when the gameplay boils down to "I stuck a lynx, can my opponent out it this turn? no? Ok, I win".
@@DistantCoder i'll throw my hot take out there and say there isn't a single card in elestrals that wins games by itself. Lynx requires having a nexus bank on hand and has weak stats without ALSO having foloi. I'm not saying lynx is weak. Its very strong. My point is saying things like "card X wins games by itself" is something that is realistic in yugioh, but not elestrals. We need to reevaluate how we discuss banlists and card design in elestrals and explain in great detail the intended impact of the suggested changes.
Mmmmm no. Everything being banned or limited makes sense. Reason people don’t play is because things are too OP. My one friend when we play even just for fun he plays his very very very best deck and it’s not fun at all. When I play something I play to have fun. We play Elestrals I have fun win or lose but he also plays Earth everytime I lose everytime I think I won once and I’m an Earth Caster so yes I’ve used Earth against him before but I also have other decks. It gets to point you play against one deck and lose constantly it’s gonna not be fun
what if they Errata'd the text on Equilynx, Sparkitt, and Kindleo and made them have their original effect with the note: this effect can only be resolved once while this card is face up on the field? that way they are still momentum shifters but not sustained broken cards every turn. then you wouldn't need to ban them because they wouldn't be as broken.
This game is way too young to be banning everything willy nilly. The design focus needs to be reevaluated and fast before the game dies to limits and bans. How many people just started playing and bought playsets of these cards only for them to be banned or limited out from under them? Edit: To clarify I have not bought these I have only bought one starter deck. I am glad I didnt buy the Thunder list in my TCGPlayer cart now.
No it’s not. Dan has said he wants meta to not be one deck. He’s doing things other card games haven’t. These ban lists are fine. If you’re unhappy then tough
We love green and yellow cards!
I think a limit for equil and elechik should be next
Equilinx and Elechik to 1 next banlist

I really want to see Limit Rabbit and Equilynx, and ban Elechik.
That just kills the deck, just limit equilynx and maby semi the rabbit
@palaxior8776 deck kinda needs to die ngl. Base set cards need to be checked hard.
So the takeaway is: ban Equilynx. Limit Elechick, Astrabbit, Tsunami, PTA, & Gorgon's Gaze?
Or more likely just nail Lynx & Elechick somehow since aDrive seems to prefer a small, more focused F&L List.
@@ttgl_bobross How'd you know?
@@BrandoMan just a guess, really. If something is really warping the game scene such that there's only one deck worth playing, something has to give.
we gotta get out of this yugioh mentality of "everything that's good needs to get banned."
Just print answers imo

Love earth, but this really does need to go. I'd like to play other stuff.
I’d like to play against something else 😭

They can still play the cards. They’re just limited. Its not end of the world
