  • FORMLINE is the traditional, native artwork of the Pacific Northwest coast of North America. This artwork traces back its origins to over 2000 years ago and was primarily a sculptural art form. Since the 1800s though, it has seen a great revival and many new artists in this time are also bringing back the classic stylings of the original tribes.
    Though the art form seems very simplistic, it should not be mistaken as primitive art. Formline has a very vast, sophisticated set of rules in place to create the correct forms, build up the right compositions and use of colour in the right places, that make the finished piece a compelling piece of Art.

None of these artworks are my original work & I have merely used them as inspiration to study the process to make a genuine design; and to the best of my ability I have tried to follow the guidelines as suggested in the videos listed further below.
