Naadam is democratizing cashmere. By sourcing cashmere directly from Mongolian herders and cutting out the middlemen, they are able to pay Mongolian herders 50% more, while also passing savings along to the consumer, and they are committed to ensuring sustainable practices along the way. Now, at the request of customers’, Naadam has taken those savings even further by introducing a 100% cashmere sweater for $75.

I must say, this was a fantastic advertisement. Watched & enjoyed more of this than the actual video I was waiting for. Well done.
Airforce proud?! What are you doing here????? Hahahaha love the vids man.
I only skipped to come hear and be able to go back.
That's what I was going to post, you beat me to it. Also, holy cow its AFP!
Same!!
Same!!!
One of the few ads that I didn't skip! Hope everything in this video is true. Would love to see more companies like this in the future :D
Same.
I did technically skip the ad but only because I was looking up their products in the middle of the ad, and by the time I switched back to the RUclips app, the app reset, which is why I deliberately searched for this ad to finish watching it.
I was in a rabbit hole about natural disasters and now I’m in a rabbit hole about sustainable cashmere. That’s a good commercial!
@@emilyburgio3564 I feel that
Same. This is how you do ads
The only ad that I watched the whole thing. wow
the only ad that I watched the whole thing and for 5 times... lol
ikr
Hahaha me too, love it! Free markets such a beautiful thing 👽❤️👽
Loved the ad, because it actually humanizes the laborers. It was fun and witty. Next time I buy a sweater, it will be one of yours.
It's just an ad ... advertisement ... that means most likely very little truth. Cute but maybe total BS.
It actually uses them for dual purpose. Do the labor and be actors in our sob story commercials.
This is a really well put-together ad. I teach a college class on rhetoric and I'm using it as an example of persuasion techniques.
It’s cringey and pretentious.
Never did I think I would not only not skip an ad, but go to the search bar to find it so I can watch it again! Well done!
usually I skip all the ads but it actually watched the whole thing lol
same
We found it again, so kids can see it to:)))
I hate to have to tell you this but you've got it backwards. You should skip the ads that you DO like and let the ads you DO NOT like play all the way through.
By skipping the ads you hate you make them NOT have to pay. This ad is clever and that's why you should skip it when you see it.
@@MrManerd Don't make no sense
@@savithrivenugopal Here's the facts. RUclips charges the advertiser the most for advertisements that people DON'T skip. The longer the unskipped ad, the more the advertiser has to pay RUclips (who in turn pays the content creator you came to watch). So by skipping the ads you don't like you are effectively rewarding the advertiser who deliberately made a bad ad by saving them money. By playing through the ads you DO like you are punishing the advertiser that made the good ad by making them have to pay the full amount.
Knowing this, then a better practice would be: when you see a bad advertisement, mute the tab that it's playing on, open a new tab, and then copy and past the address from the muted tab into the new tab. This way, you get to watch the content you came for and the content creator gets paid and you still punish the makers of the bad advertisement.
This should win an advertisement award. Not looking for a sweater at the moment due to low funds, but I 100% would buy it. Not only that, but the ad got me attached to the company itself
Loved this ad. Watched it twice. I did notice, "We eliminated the middle man" (everybody hates the middle man, everybody needs them). Then we find out they *are* the new middle man. The claim is still morally true in that they shortened the supply chain, replacing one or more middlemen with a (hopefully) more efficient chain.
It’s an example of vertical integration as practiced by Andrew Carnegie
Brilliant advertisement
Best "add" I've seen for a company in a VERY long time. Keep up the great work Naadam.
Ad
@@justgivemethetruth I'd try to blame the coffee but the truth is I'm a poor proof reader.
@@Aegisltdwell, the overall tone of this company and their advert is so positive that even the comment section is staying kind and respectful. What's happening to us? Is this kind of world actually possible?
Simple. Probably one of, if not THE best ad I've ever seen. It's brilliant, for so many reasons. A creative genius behind this!
Wow this is the only ad that has ever gotten me to go buy the product they were advertising.
I have it bookmarked. I’m waiting for a few of my sweaters to die, that way I can replace them with one of these.
Hi, how did you like your sweater? I live in Mongolia...thus enjoyi few of these.
@@tomasbravenec742 hi
same hahaha
Best ad I've seen in a while. I do love cashmere, but I'm not sure if I'll be buying this so soon. I'm not on a budget that allows me to spend 75$ on a clothing piece right now, no matter how good it is.
I searched, to watch an ad again..?!
me too!
I didn't skip the ad for once, well done!!!
Good work! Just I think you forgot to mention that the manufacturing facility is in China, not in Mongolia. 🇨🇳
I believe they 'forgot' to mention that deliberately.
Turgen is cute
I not only watched the entirety of this ad, I searched it up so I can watch it again.
Now this is advertising
I want to see more about how the animals are treated and handled.
Thank you for making that comment. I thought the same thing watching this video.
@@lindagunneson4297 me too :( domesticated sheep and goats, USED for profit, are bred (genetically changed) to produce wool and hair that need to be shorn. No matter how nice this video may be, normally, these businesses slaughter or send them to slaughter when they are no longer USEful or profitable.
Scam! I checked out their website and all their sweaters are around $200-$350! They claim a $75 cashmere sweater and all the hype just to bring traffic to their website!
Amira Aouni You'll find it if you sort by price low to high. The sweater being referenced in the ad is their "Essential $75 Cashmere Sweater." They don't explicitly say that all of their sweaters are $75. Granted, they don't *not* say it either. (Mostly because it would ruin the flow of the spot.) So it's not a lie or a scam. It's just a really good, impeccably worded advertisement that any reasonable person would interpret as meaning "all sweaters are $75," even if they're not. That's marketing for you!
Legit didn't skip this ad - very very well done by your ad agency!!
I searched for this ad just to tell y’all that this is a great advertisement!
Enjoyed your commercial so much I watched it twice. Haven't researched your company or product but your sustainability image is what we need more of. Much success!
One of the few ads I've never skipped. NICE! When I have a spare $75 lying around I'll buy one.
Only ad I haven’t skipped on RUclips in a very long time. Had to come find the original video to say it was a brilliant advertisement. Not buying a sweater right now, but you’re definitely noted for the next time I’m in the market for one. Well done.
I hate to have to tell you this but you've got it backwards. You should skip the ads that you DO like and let the ads you DO NOT like play all the way through.
The reason is that skipping the ads makes them not have to pay as much. Whereas if you let it play all the way through, and give it a click at the end the advertiser has to pay the most to RUclips.
I worked for the Cashmere & Camel Hair Manufacturing Institute in Boston decades ago. I am very impressed by your gracious methodology - still curious how 2 guys can break into a pretty competitive and established industry! More videos please!
This was posted over two years ago and it was the first time I've come across it. I watched the entire thing in awe and look to implement the same type of story line in my youtube videos...loved it!
This was the most interest ad I've seen in years.
so enjoyed the advert, I freaking shared it on my social media - lol great job - Naadam !!!!
Seems like 43 people couldn't afford this amazing piece of contribution to mankind ... just saying!
Awesome job, folks! Truly inspiration, zero salesly. It is a total AHA! moment seeing this authority content laid with so much grace. You are my 'go to' whenever I need to make a piece of copy. Thanks so much and congrats also to the narrator. He made an awesome job bringing an amazing script to life
i watched the whole ad, then, i went to and looked for and watched their longer video. Im buying these as Christmas presents for everyone. 75.00 is a great price for a quality sweater. hopefully there is no little red dot on them. LOL!! (must watch 90's amercian sitcom to get this joke) google red dot on cashmere sweater
Finally! Something I can spend my money on!
Thank you!
this is a good cause and all, but you could also save your money you don't have to spend everything. but still very good cause and everyone who is looking for a sweater should buy on.
@@thewriter8459 you should recalibrate your sarcasm detector.
I always wondered who was behind naadam because it's a mongolian word and it didn't seem like a mongolian owned brand. It's nice to see the behind the scenes
Suuri same
The only RUclips ad that made me watched the whole thing. Brilliant marketing team!
After having read about horrible conditions of factory workers in the textile industry it is refreshing and uplifting to see this video.
And you throw all that stuff away based on one cute ad? OMG.
@@justgivemethetruthI spent the last 45 minutes researching into this company, pulling up business records from Ulaanbaatar, and the claims made in this video are true
@@julius_the_python where can i find that information? just wanna check the company out for myself.
Show me the process of taking the cashmere off of the animal. That’s what I want to see. That’s transparency. Could careless about “affordable” cashmere, care more to know and to SEE how well the animal is treated when it’s body is being sheared away at.
Thank you for making that comment. I thought the same thing watching this video.
@@lindagunneson4297 me too
Many kudos to the advertising/marketing team who are behind your advertisements! Funny and slightly irreverent, yet tells us about the product.
I laughed out loud, not once, but 3 times. So funny. Love it. Wish I could wear cashmere!!
I bought two last year, both have "made in China" label, which is fine for me, but I think you advertised that they are made in Mongolia. The sweaters are nicely made though.
I enjoyed this advertisement more than the video I went to watch LOL
Are you sure those manufacture workers are Mongolian not Chinese? Then why I saw many Chinese characters in the background?😏
Saw the ad, immediately bought a sweater for my wife. This ad works.
That's an awesome video.
This is a really nice story! I'd love to know if anyone approaches the production of jeans in the same ethical way.
This may possibly be one of my favorite ads on RUclips. I'm getting one of these for my father. Godbless you all.
I saw this ad somewhere else and straight-up searched this. Hilarious.
This is awesome, funny and shows the real workers! Love it!
hilarious and informative. Great job
Buy from the Gobi Cashmere company, they are actually owned by Mongolians. Naadam company doesn’t benefit the Mongol nomads
Thanks. I’m looking for China-Mongolia business
Animals are not ours to use for clothing. Please choose the actually compassionate, ethical, and sustainable options and use animal-friendly, animal-free materials instead!
Thank you for making that comment. I thought the same thing watching this video.
@@lindagunneson4297 Me too. Thank you both.
I didnt skip this ad because it succeeded in catching my attention.
Can I just say…even without even thinking about wanting to purchase a cashmere sweater…your ad has caught my attention for the full entirety of the video. Absolutely brilliant…so catchy and loving the ‘farm to table’ story so to speak…I love it and will purchase a sweater just because of this amusing vid! Well done :)
Dudes, frolicking with baby goats is weird.
I loved this! I served as a cameraman in the Marines, and this is exactly the kind of team I would want to work with representing. Do you guys have a need for any talent representation or any video editing or shooting? I fell in love with Mongolia ever since I first heard of the band "the hu". That and the show Marco Polo. Who wouldn't want to spend time in a Ger! sign. me. up.
I love these guys, and ordered two sweaters yesterday.
It seems the facility is in China, not Mongolia...
yep. watched the whole video. very nicely done. I wish more people did this kind of thing
I don't know why RUclips showed me this. I don't think I've ever hated an ad so much in my life.
It’s such a good advertisement that I wanna get one🙃
Always skip ads but actually watched this all the way through! Now just to get $75..... guess I got to get a babysitting gig
Found "The $75 cashmere" sweaters! Will order. Products look very inviting! The Cotton/Cashmere another great finding. Why not put the $75 products at the beginning of the menu. I easily overlooked it to finally notice it listed at the end.
People on this planet also care about the treatment of the animals that humans are profiting off of. What's the process to take the cashmere off of the animal. That’s what everyone wants to see so we have FULL transparency. We are becoming an awakened society and it's less about the price of the product and more about the cost to the animal being sheared away it. You need to SHOW the process and how these innocent animals are TREATED AND CARED FOR when making your human product.
This is the best ad I've seen in a long time. What a story. What a company. Looks like it'll be a cashmere Christmas! (if there are any sweaters left)
Love this video! Watched it all the way through like everyone else. I want to come on your next trip to play with the goats and meet all those great people.
This video is epic! Love it!
its funny because the drop down on the add said the sweater were upwards of 125 😂
I wonder how much of the money is going to these chinese?
mongolians
@@nonameaccount7773 Reason behind my suspicion and why i asked this question is that manufacturing in China is always cheaper than doing it in Mongolia. Because of this Mongolian manufacturing companies always had hard time just staying alive.
Before the collapse of Soviet Union and Mongolian converted to democracy, Mongolia had a really strong infrastructure. We could self-sustain and were able to produce most of our products that we needed. But when free market opened up, huge number of chinese cheap goods poured into our market and literally murdered our factories. Because of this Mongolia have become very dependent on china and kinda lost our economic freedom. Since then we been struggling to recover and bring back our factories in any way possible to reduce chinese influance on our politic and market.
This is the reason why our cashmere companies paying less compare to these guys, because it cost more to produce it here in Mongolia. Bur most people okay with that because with this extra money they saved are spent on bring back our economic freedom and provides work for a lot of Mongolians.
For me it feels like these guys are just leaking what little resources we have to china and stealing work from Mongolians and giving it also to china. But i could be wrong, since i am not aN expert, but an observer.
this is so cute !!!!
Matcha is Japanese Green Tea, man.
Stop abusing those animals, you can cut their hair with some clippers and use the hair for something 🚔👮
Karl Marx would call this commercial a critique on commodity fetishism.
I didn't want to skip this ad, that good.
L❤VED the ad. I came here because of an article written about how your company got started. *"35-year-old risked his parents' house on a $2.5 million loan to start a fashion brand-now it brings in $100 million a year"* (Published Thu, Mar 7 2024) The only thing this ad and that article left out was how the company got its name. The link in the article brought me here. Thank goodness. I *now* know how to pronounce the company's name!🤣And congratulations on your success!🍷PS: To think, this ad was made way back in 2019 and I'm just finding out about your company 5 yrs later in (March) 2024😱🥶😞🤣I gotta buy me a sweater to test out how good it is!❤
Exactly how I got here today. Read the article about how the company was started, clicked on the link to watch the ad. Need I say I watched to the end and loved it! Congratulations to you guys.
I wonder if this industry has been influenced by Chinese expansionism and trading?
Can't believe its been 5 yrs since this was put out because I'm watching this as an ad now.
1:21 I need Turgen’s number for research purposes 🙈
Lmfaooaooo, fr
The ad is really really good! ❤️ I wonder which agency did this project!
"It's macha"
"And I don't know what that means"
....I was dying of laughter
GREAT AD!!! LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE I'VE NOT SKIPPED IN A LONG TIME
Nice video. Though there are less than $70 cashmere jumpers; and except for the shepherd family, everything in the video happened in China.
Just saw the ad. You make it seem Mongolia is the driving factor behind setting up a business there. Why didn't you feel inclined to help people in the United States?
Are cashmere sheep/goats native to America? (Would US customs even allow them to be shipped over here?)
this is my favorite ad ever thank you
It’s not Mongolia. It’s Inner Mongolia in China!
One of the best advertisements I ever watched.
This ad is magic.
Love this ad. Well done (and I hope the story is authentic)
You can check out business records from Ulaanbaatar Mongolia, and find their specific company, and read about their track record, as any abuses are reported to the government. Everything seems above board!
If it doesn’t come with a diamond in the skin I don’t need it!
It's really the only ad I didn't skip!!! And now I just serached it again!!!
Look at all these fake comments bots hahahaha.
Do NOT let George Costanza know about this.
This may be an older add, but I saw it mere moments ago and I support adds like this that are wholesome and stay true to a business's intentions. Good on you>
This commercial is almost good enough to make me forget that I despise cashmere.
The ad was so good that I had to stop watching my video to go see more content of yours. I love this video’s style!
That is a GREAT commercial, Hats off to you!
Make Turgen the model
This is an excellent ad for an excellent project. Thank you. I make environmental documentaries throughout the world. You have an excellent video -- however, I can offer you television play. Email me.
I have to echo the sentiment above - right before a Judge Judy video this advert came on and rather than skip it, I watched the entire thing and then searched your company, so I can watch the ad again and send it to a couple of friends. Very well-made, ppaotoe without being fake or slimy, and I would feel happy to support your company and buy a sweater. Cheers!
Turgen is 🔥
Atrocious customer service. Their youtube ads make you think it's this wonderful company that cares so much about producers and consumers...not in the least!!! I figured since they save so much money producing their goods in Mongolia they have low overhead and would excel at simple things like exchanges/returns... not NAADAM. Horrible, horrible customer service. Sizes vary wildly - some run big, some small. Oh and if a product is on sale, they won't let you exchange it for a different size. WHAT???? Don't order from them. They suck.
