About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in 1997 and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.
Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.
#Blur #Ambulance #ThinkTank
One of the most moving songs ever made. When Damon sings "I was born out of love..." it's just with such a fragile honesty.
One of my all time favorite Blur songs, hands down.
Videos of the past
I wouldn’t say so at all, the last 5 or so tracks are brilliant
Blurenakage
Absolutely☀️
Another tune that got me through jail.
I guess I am quite off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch new series online?
This is one of those songs that must have really blown my 6-year-old mind when I first listened to it. I believe my stepdad was the person who brought Think Tank into the family, and it's been one of the cornerstone albums of my childhood that helped blossom my music taste and who I am today.
Believe it or not, but this was my basis on what I thought "Blur" was. Blur without the legendary Graham Coxon was who I thought the band was for a long time. This bleak, grey and red aesthetic still kinda pops up to the forefront of my mind when I think of "Blur", even though I'm now much more used to their britpop, guitar-heavy aspect.
@Hearthing I honestly quite love this album, but it is a definite change of pace from their much earlier parts, so it's understandable that it's somewhat decisive.
I still play this song every couple of weeks, even after all this time because this album is a classic.
This song blew my 26 year old mind when I casually gave it an accidental listen on a rainy taxi drive back home from a hard work day. It played on a random radio show and even if I couldn't pay attention to it, I loved it, simply.
I keep seeing you everywhere-
I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of,
No I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of
No I ain't got
Anything to be scared of
?Cos I love you
I was born out of love
It's the only way to come into this world
I know I'm not all there
But I'm getting, getting, getting there
If you let me live my life
I'll stay with you to the end
And I know, lord
I'm nearly there
I want to tell you this
I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of, no
No I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of, no
No I ain't got
Anything to be scared
Cause I love you
I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of
No ain't got
Nothing to be scared of
I ain't got
Nothing to be scared of
No I ain't got
Nothing to be scared
This song makes me cry (happy tears) every time I hear it. Love it
On the copy of this album that I bought, in order to listen to this song, you had to hold rewind once track 1 started, until you got to the beginning of this song. I didn't even realize this song was on there! I'd never even heard of hidden tracks at the beginning of CDs, just at the end. So, technically, you had to listen to this song backwards first, every time you wanted to listen to it. Just made it all the more special.
Aninymouse
Are you sure you don’t mean Me, White Noise?
311's Transistor is another album that has one of these hidden tracks
Holy shh- That makes complete sense to me now. Although as a 6-y/o I was tripping.
My dad bought this album from HMV the year it came out, and I guess didn’t think much of it (at least not anywhere near as much as I) bc it came into my CD collection. And I remember listening to it start-finish in my bedroom, but there being a “song missing”. My favourite, I think I’d have said. Whenever I heard it (along w a few others on the album), it would have me crying, completely emotionally overwhelmed. But my folks must’ve thought I was being a foolish kid and didn’t believe me about this missing track! This has literally answered some deep-seated question, haha
But man oh man this album was some sort transcendental emotional awakening as a boy. Song’s exceptional
@@cheesandwichfactory which song was hidden on transistor?
19 years old when this came out, then I found myself alone in a foreign country, had the CD in my discman all the time, used to listen to this track on repeat everytime I got nervous, on public transports, late afternoon walks, before I go to sleep.
I was 41 when this came out. This is the first time I heard any of it because I was such a huge Graham Coxon fan and didn’t want to hear a Blur without him. So far, so good
Yeah, the lyric “I was born out of love, it’s the only way to come into this word” is a really poignant and uplifting insight.
Wow "discman" - a distant past now
wow. that's really cool. you're a badass keep it up
This is the perfect opener for an album released after 13
Please Blur, put this one back on setlist.
They could put almost all of their songs on their setlist, and it would sound awesome.
Wish they'd tour again.
My dream would be for them to play this live again... would love to hear Graham on this track, I bet it would be amazing
they did on the last year but with caravan
I listen to this song when I'm experiencing anything negative and this song lifts my fears away
Beacause you ain’t got nothing to be scared of
For me the song is a prayer. There's a section in the book "The End of the Affair" by Graham Greene where the female lead makes a promise to God that fundamentally changes her life. I've always thought about that when listening to Ambulance. The natural focus in Ambulance is on the words "I was born out of love It's the only way to come into this world." Yes lovely words but for me the key is the words that follow. "I know I'm not all there, But I'm getting, getting, getting there, If you let me live my life, I'll stay with you to the end, And I know, lord, I'm nearly there, I want to tell you this." A prayer. A promise of loyalty and change. Amazing stuff. My favourite song Damon, cheers dude.
Same for me . Bought this album back in 2006 and have always thought of this as such; a prayer.
Just had it in my head today. It's been rare for me to get blur songs in my head. I'm probably less melancholic than I used to be. But will always appreciate this feeling ! this is my favorite album from blur since i'm 14 (27 now). probably my signature album :) I liked to consider Damon like an alternate Dad who soothed me each time I put my headphones on.
ps : hey to the me of the future, I know I will read this comment at some point (with feels !)
ps2 : see I'm still as cringey as I used to be! leaving messages for me in the future
One of my favourite songs off all time
this album is absolute genius
Es la mejor canción que he escuchado en toda mi vida 😭😭
Amaneciste basado
I might be in minority but Think Tank is my favourite Blur album.
It is a great album. Out of Time and Battery in Your Leg are fantastic songs too.
People need to realize the genius of blur. Definitely not one trick ponies.
I saw them at Coachella in 2003 when it was still a music festival and they opened with this song, rip Coachella (1999-2009) you gave me the best musical moments of my life.
I went to Coachella 2010-2014 it was still wonderful but understand what you mean. Gone are the days when artists like Blur and Beck would headline.
This song is so gorgeous, In special this part :) 2:48 - 3:09
this, out of time and caravan, uuuuu so fkng good
It's so nostalgic. 2003. I'm in freshman year in uni. This album just came out. I'm unrequited in love and listening to this constantly.
Me too
Very Talktalkish (and it’s a great compliment). After 19 years when the song restart at 3.08 I still get chills. Incredible gem from a great album.
TT were an amazing and hugely influential band
Kid A vibes as well
Great way to start their most underrated LP. Ace.
Such an amazing album!
Love the lyrics
So much more meaning than on the surface.
This album is slated so much but it has its own story and it’s own era and I’m glad they did this as a 3 piece stoned out of their heads on weed in Morocco.
This is actually really nostalgic? I'm not sure why.
The year was 2003, maybe you relate this song with something memorable that happened to you in that year OR when you first heard it.
Cos it's fucking excellent and it's a bit older. Even though to me as a blur fan since 93 this is 'late blur', it's even nostalgic to me. That's the Blur/Damon melancholy effect.
Because you're an idiot?
What a great tune ;D
la meilleure de Blur ... une pure merveille ... D ALBARN quelle voix, un artiste génial
I was born out of love
It's the only way to come into this world ♥
This is the line I always remind myself of.
Great song, really good album too.
I love the "Think Tank" album and Damon's more experimental side. I like listening to bands such as Fever Ray and Dead Can Dance, who also use instruments and sounds from middle eastern and african cultures.
Radiohead + David Bowie = This Blur song
Nah this is 1000 times better

TheMarkcia I kinda hate it
bit much
After all this time it sounds so good
This is it - the very first Blur song I ever listened to.
Well, it may not have been, but I do know that Think Tank was the first Blur album I listened to, and I assume that I was listening to it from the beginning when it was first played for me. I was only a kid, so I don't quite remember.
Song 2 is actually a very popular one.
It saddens me to think of all the people who will never hear this.
This song! ❤
Ba dup ba BUP bah bah. Ba dup ba baba bup ba!
best outro
I listened to this song a lot in February. Love it
One of my favourite songs of Blur. I thought Song 2 and Beetlebum were great until I found this. Greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Underrated song

deep dive soundtrack
Out of all the 2CD Special Edition Blur album releases, why is Think Tank the only one which has been deleted?
I ain't got nothing to scare now, 'cause I love you
I thought it was "I ain't got nothing to be scared of"
Palindrome It is.
Clean your ears out. they're fucked. "ain't got nothing to be scared of" right there in plain English.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
album should be calles BLUR MINUS GRAHAM
no it shouldn't are you fucking insane
at 2min48 is the best moment of the song
I've always thought Damon was saying 'aye girl' then I read the comments section...
Kawan Conceição pfft

Very Radiohead sounding
Saxophone. The National Anthem?
you mean that Radiohead sounds like Blur, of course
P G I think they both sound like each other
Radiohead fucking wish.

Did Xqc have this song on stream?
@@j.4811 yep
One of the greatest songs ever until 3.10, then turns into some sort of awful, twisted, sesame street gone mental nightmare. Could have been perfect.
this should have been about a 3 mins song the last 2 mins spoil an otherwise epic track with just nonsense
Sounds like it could be found on '13'.
not really
Who's here from Mikey Way's story!?
❤❤❤
