He produced some of Bobby's stuff, I think he produced some music for Keith Sweat too, we all know he did work with MJ. And don't leave out the beat down he gave his daughter with the guitar hero guitar for stepping to his woman at that time😂😂😂😂.
I had to pop a blood pressure pill when the doll said johnny and Eddie in a domestic partnership 🤣🤣🤣Maybe boys II men biopic since I never knew mike had discovered them!!! I don't know if the people could handle a Mary j blige bio yet: we still doing her one dance down to the knee boots!!
Baby the next biopic im waitin for is none other then thw light skinned family themselves, DEBARGE!!!! Chile we'd need a TEN PART seris to even scrape the service of that one!
tertra114 user yes!! Debarge would be good.... From their Unsung episode they talked about how that Daddy was physically and sexually abusive toward the kids not to mention everyone's drug abuse!!!..
+deirdrasj1 yesss gurl cuz james daughta christinia iz on grow'n up hip hop n she chase'n dat tired ole "i heard my dad got a secret baby wit janet, iz it true" shyt...n mary j blige step daughta on there bein a desperate, i gotta keep a man even if he hit me, naive, idk why im really on dis show hot smoke'n mess...smdh
Yes the movie was excellent & it served it's purpose for people like you Dineva & the younger generation who didnt really know New Edition & how great they truly are!! SN: Ricky Bell can blow too...dont get it twisted & Ronnie's purpose in New Edition is to be fine as hell 😉!!
Ronnie had no eyebrows and I couldn't overlook that, LOL!! But NOW. . .Whew! Ronnie is the man. I actually never crushed on any of the boys, though. Nobody ever touched my heart like Michael Jackson once did!
Bobby definitely did the right thing. I believe he served his initial purpose in the group, but like all of us we evolve. That's what happened to Bobby. He grew into manhood not wanting to be restrained by a group. Usually I don't agree with solo acts, but it take a person with that IT factor to do it and he had IT! The rest didn't
Holland Opus Bobby going solo definitely worked in his favor and he was bigger than NE. And I can't lie, I was all over him too st the time. These young kids getting big and having fame don't know how to handle it. Drugs, Ho's, ego. He just lost it. I think Bobby is ok. I think he got some sense later.
Holland Opus I think they ALL had the best success possible by Bobby living. Today also flip the income currently NE is winning. Especially Ralph & Ronnie
I also think Bobby knew that Jackson 5 sound was not gonna make it for too long. I remember in some of their videos, you can see it in Bobbys' face he was tired of that kiddy shit.
Bobby was a star from the beginning, he just fucked up so much. Alot of younger ppl dont even know alot of his music because they know him as Whitney's ex husband or Bobbi K's dad. Bobby had a great catalog of music. New Edition is still good.
The Boyz II Men Story is ripe for telling. BET can just pick up where the New Edition story left off (when Mike Bivens met them and asked them to call him)... C'mon BET!!!
That cause people don't remember since they may have been too young at the time. I was around 8 when NE Heartbreak came out and remember when Bobby came out as well as Ralph who was always my favorite !
Quiet as it's kept, the Tupac biopic better come correct this summer or Black Twitter and the whole black internet is going to go the fuck in!...BET most definitely set the bar high with this one.
Ralph learned what so many lead singers learned. Just like Coko from SWV and Tasha from Xscape, people have to learn that the people don't want to see every good singer as a solo artist. That Michael Jackson and Beyonce break-away success is actually kinda rare.
Yes, ma'am, it is. Not too many are able to (what I call) "Michaelize." You really have to be different and innovative so that you can keep recreating yourself as a solo artist. Yeah, you may be a strong lead in a GROUP, but that doesn't mean you're strong enough to go it alone.
I would love if they did a Biopic on Motown! Now TV One has had damn near everybody from Motown on Unsung, but I'd be very interested in seeing a film bout Berry Gordy. I wanna know about his artist developmt, his vision, his eye 4 talent & business, surly he screwed over ppl financially too, how he dealt with the death of Marvin & Tammy, how he fucked the Jackson's outta their own name [after they left Motown], his personal relationship w/Michael..the affair between he & Diana Ross that resulted n a baby, & how he ran a multi million dollar music machine from a shotgun house. We need this, while most of the Supremes are living, Smokey, Stevie, Lionel, 1 of the Temptations are living, most of the Jackson's are living & so on.
Serena Celestial yep you have to be really familiar with new edition as opposed to just watching the movie to appreciate his role in the group. He wasn't a powerhouse singer by any means but he was a genuine creative spirit that made them more relatable.. and yes danced his assss off and was like a hype man
And two I heard he made alot of money doing real estate in Atlanta he was the first one to do it before it became a trend. Ronnie deserve to be in New Edition as much as all of them
Great review, Dineva! I only have one disagreement with what you said, I felt Tank did a good job in his role. But I was thinking the same thing about Ronnie in the group, like what was your purpose?!? We didn't really find out his talent until BBD! Quiet as it's kept, Mike didn't really serve a purpose in NE either! He used it as a way to get into the business end of music, which was smart. BET and Chris Robinson really did the damn thing with this biopic!
Yes Micheal Bivens was a straight up BOSS! But let's talk about how Bobby kept instigating a fight and losing the damn fight haha. That scene had me weak af
Johnny Gill said he went backrupt and lost everything. Nobody is mentioning the fact that both sets of boys sang their own vocals and not overdubs like other biopics. Hakeem is from my home Philly.
And to be honest, I'm soooo proud of BET. Because in my opinion, of all the recent biopics, Michel'e had set the bar with her movie. That thang was good AS FUCK. But now New Edition has the crown
The thing about the music industry thats key is TIMING. you can have talent and you're timing be off and not POP (Leona Lewis, Melanie Fiona), or have no talent and the right timing and POP (Desiigner, Cassie). so I honestly don't think Bobby popped off because he was any better than any one else (although talented) They were all talented. I think Ralph just had TERRIBLE timing. They even alluded to it in the movie. He sat on his project for so long, Bobby took advantage of the timing and he even said "I can't put it out now, after Bobby ,its gonna look like we're doing the same music." which implies that he went back to the studio and changed his project. lol. Like it just took all the excitement out of whatever "solo" steam he was getting at the time. Lastly, I think everything happens for a reason. Ralph's PERSONALITY is not solo. The movie makes it seem like he went solo because it was "Expected" of him being a lead singer by the record label and his wife. But Ralph's personality isn't solo. His talent is. Bobby's personality is solo. Even with old performances, if you look at old Ralph solo performances he doesn't look NEARLY as into it as when he's on the stage with his brothers. Speaking of brothers I LOVE that they have known each other since so young, grew up together, were neighbors, played together, worked together and still together. How many people have friends like that. I kind of envy having a friend since that age lol. they are brothers for real they been fighting their whole life, done solo projects, supported each others solo projects, and still get back together. If they can do that i don't see why any other boy band can't get it together. lol
I agree with Luke James and Tank. Luke definitely pulled off the vocals, but he just needs a little more experience with his acting because he wasn't that bad. Tank however needs to just stop. I mean stop it all and go work at Tyrese's backyard Starbucks serving latte's or something.
This biopic wasn't a success because of BET alone. Its success has a great deal to do with the casting and the input of the original members. They made sure that it was authentic and that the story line stayed true to who they were. There have been other good biopics like The Temptations..Jackson 5..Ray Charles etc..Some are hits others are misses.. Hopefully this will be the beginning of better movies and TV shows..for BET because I had stopped watching this network for some time.. give or take a show or two. I loved the entire movie, casting dancing,singing,acting...
Jessica B That would be an interesting movie but, I'm not sure how they would make that into a made for TV movie because they were VERY raunchy.I can remember them actually having a girl on stage sucking fans peen to the beat of the song while she twerked at the same damn time. They were definitely X rated .
Bobby Brown did the right thing by leaving the group... he made money... wrote several very successful songs (e.g. My Prerogative) and won a Grammy (unlike NE members)... BTW what happened to at least mentioning Whitney... I agree Deborah Cox is leaching - all thirsty... congrats to Ricky for telling the ugly part of his testimony
😲😲😲😲😲 because I was literally on twitter the other day tweeting exactly what you said at the end about Mary J Blige biopic. Work on the script now, by the end of next year shop it to a movie company, 2019 along with the folks who did what's love got to do with it work on casting/filming the movie and between 2020-2021 film the movie; by 2022 which will be 30 years since her first album came out release it in the theaters. Mary J Blige got a story to tell and she need to finally tell it outside of a song.
i can see why Ralph thought his solo career would jump off lol hell he was the only one singing in New Edition lol and please start reviewing STAR that show is AMAZING
Ohhhhh, Johnny gon' get yooooou! I interviewed Johnny a few years ago and asked him about the Eddie rumors and how he deals with that and he told me that when bloggers call him gay, he pays a whole team of people who hunt them down and he will call their house in the middle of the night like, "Wassup? You beefin, or nah?" He gone whoop your ass, Q! 😂
sorry, neva but u got it wrong. ralph tresvant DID have a successful r&b album but it did not go pop. although he did do well, he didnt do as well as gill, brown, or bbd. they all crossed over to pop charts multiple times. ralph also tours with bobby and ricky. they tour as the lead singers and sing all the hits in tuxes
Miss Rose Agreed! Lifetime is the dollar store version of every story they do! and the snippets of the music, just doesn't cut it for me. They need to sit and watch this one and take notes. Aaliyah one was beyond tacky.
Farrah I chile ..it was on Lifetime Bobby didn't look nothing like Bobby and it was a MESS....but Deborah Cox did sing her ass off but a bodyguard musical...... chile please..... I think she always thought she could sing as good as Whitney
I think she's talking about the New Edition movie. Yes, Farrah, they only showed the back of her while she danced with Bobby at Ronnie's wedding reception.
I want to see the following biopics come to life: Mary J. Blige, SWV, Salt N Pepa, and Run DMC. And if it ain't don't like New Edition don't do it at all. Dineva you are right, BET set the bar for biopics!
I agree BET did an outstanding job with the New Edition movie. The Mikki Howard movie was better than Lifetime movies. Eddie Winslow played Gerald Levert. Love you Dineva!
Yesssssss!!! I have been waiting for this! Bobby Brown could not remain a part of N.E. and do the "Bobby Brown" thing! And who knew Ricky was overcoming addiction?
I've been real eerie of BET for some years now, after being a FAITHFUL viewer, damn near since I was born (lol)...but this biopic made me proud...and reminded me of why it was such a big part of my life while growing up.
I would love to see an Eve biopic, how she went from a stripper in Philly to marrying a billionaire. Talk about winning. I really want to know her story. From her Ruff Ryder's days, to dealing with Stevie J.
So after watching The New Edition Story I need to see biopics from Jodeci because all 4 of those men make Bobby Brown and his addiction look like child's play. K-Ci and Jojo were ten times more self destructive to their careers and the rumors from the tours will definitely be worth watching. The Fugees because I never knew enough about the Lauryn Hill and Wyclef affair and what ran her into the arms of Bob Marley’s son and made her feel the need to birth a nation. Also the Missy and Timbaland story I feel there’s a lot of behind the scene’s drama there too????
gina ducheine not really he had more cash when they married. he left not getting a dime and they said even now he worth 5 million or more. but mike is worth 40 million. whitney net worth was more but that was because she had properties and things but Bobby had more cash than she did. the other members are broke frfr
I'm happy to see you're feeling better. The young men who portrayed NE did a fine job But that cutie who played Bobby Brown was just like Bobby, the stand out in the crowd.
If you look at the movie from the beginning Bobby wanted his own career (when he got scared on stage as a child). I think that he needed others beside him (when he went solo he had dancers on each side of him but he was the man). He also said they knew that he wanted a solo career. I am glad that they did not make it about Whitney. Because it is about New Edition. Jodeci biopic next.
Abena Walker Maaaannnn please they soooo uggghh Im ready for Atl!! Yandy seem all about Yandy..and the creep squad is a girl scout group lol and Amenia goin back to Peter IF Tara don't take him back first 😒
You are so right on the bar being set with the New Edition biopic. I can't remember the last time I watched BET, but that biopic has brought me BACK! It was high quality tv narrative.
Jodeci! Let's get into it BET!
VH1 is supposedly doing theirs.
shambry Clark id love to see that one!!!!
shambry Clark Jodeci is working with VH1 to produce their story.
ok😉👍
shambry Clark They need to do Hi-Five as well! They had LOADS of drama! Murder, drugs, car accidents, etc!
Teddy Riley biopic or new jack swing biopic... Teddy Riley was dipping in and out music groups, producing music and producing children
Yesss
He produced some of Bobby's stuff, I think he produced some music for Keith Sweat too, we all know he did work with MJ.
And don't leave out the beat down he gave his daughter with the guitar hero guitar for stepping to his woman at that time😂😂😂😂.
Ashley B. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
curli-lettey omg!😂
That scene with Ricky doing drugs caught all of us off guard. I was down to the couch clutching my imaginary pearls, lol!
I heard a long while ago that Ralph was on drugs at one point, too.
Yeah, I heard a bit about Ralph and drugs too.
Right? I thought it was Bobby at first until he lifted his head.
Mike Biv said he got a call and that the label who took over MCA will give them some of their money back. Im happy about that!
he did I watch the interview BBD was having when he got the call
Mona Scott That's what's up!! NE's music shaped my teenage and young adult years. They so deserve the recognition then and now!
consquella sabbs What interview is it? Can you send me the link?
Mona Scott I just watched the interview, man I'm so happy for them.
I don't remember the link but you will find it by following the aftermath of the movie.
I had to pop a blood pressure pill when the doll said johnny and Eddie in a domestic partnership 🤣🤣🤣Maybe boys II men biopic since I never knew mike had discovered them!!! I don't know if the people could handle a Mary j blige bio yet: we still doing her one dance down to the knee boots!!
my hair is layed like dineva feeling better yessss hunty
Karissa Curry
Ronnie is 90% of the reason why their moves are as tight as they are. And the best performer in the group. He serves a huge purpose....thank you
LadyQ I do and always have loved me some Ronnie, maybe he did just dance but he's my ❤!
I always felt Mike was the best dancer. His moves were always so sharp and on point. Ronnie LOOKED better because he was so tall.
Kiara Birmingham Nah...even Mike says Ronnie is the best dancer. From then to now...
LadyQ thank you!! He tripping I love me some Ronnie
He tried my boo Ronnie!!!!
I would like to see a Jodeci and Guy biopic.
Joy Marshall Guy Yesss
Joy Marshall
I remember when Guy and New Edition had a shootout? So a Guy movie would be good.
the Phyllis Hyman story
Kimberly Walker 👍
Kimberly Walker yessss, I would LOVE ❤️ to see a GREAT biopic of my girl Phyllis Hyman ❤️❤️.
New edition was signed to Bad Boy at one point. . I wonder what happened with that? 🤔🤔🤔 #DiddyStrikesAgain 😂
only1zay31 Diddy happened lol. You know how he do lol
Quaneshia Holden 😂😂😂😂Facts! As broke as I am. . I would never sign to Diddy. . I'm shocked he hasn't robbed French Montana yet!
only1zay31 puffy was fucking his artist with no kiss and no Vaseline, straight pimping, he knew better than to try it on biggie😒😒😒😒😒😒
Puffy screwed them over
Anita Lowe right! But I always felt he had something to do with Biggies death! 🙈
Baby the next biopic im waitin for is none other then thw light skinned family themselves, DEBARGE!!!! Chile we'd need a TEN PART seris to even scrape the service of that one!
I forgot about them!!! The Debarge family story could run a month! They are STILL cutting up to this day
tertra114 user yes!! Debarge would be good.... From their Unsung episode they talked about how that Daddy was physically and sexually abusive toward the kids not to mention everyone's drug abuse!!!..
+deirdrasj1 yesss gurl cuz james daughta christinia iz on grow'n up hip hop n she chase'n dat tired ole "i heard my dad got a secret baby wit janet, iz it true" shyt...n mary j blige step daughta on there bein a desperate, i gotta keep a man even if he hit me, naive, idk why im really on dis show hot smoke'n mess...smdh
tertra114 user yessss
Yes the movie was excellent & it served it's purpose for people like you Dineva & the younger generation who didnt really know New Edition & how great they truly are!! SN: Ricky Bell can blow too...dont get it twisted & Ronnie's purpose in New Edition is to be fine as hell 😉!!
Lol on Ronnie😂😍
Okay!!!!! Ronnie has always been the finest one!
tresaj Yes indeed!!
Ronnie had no eyebrows and I couldn't overlook that, LOL!! But NOW. . .Whew! Ronnie is the man. I actually never crushed on any of the boys, though. Nobody ever touched my heart like Michael Jackson once did!
Yeah, Ricky Bell can blow. I always felt like he was under rated.
luke james was amazing
michael ealy and FOINE
Christina Marie no he was not
+michael ealy yes he was to me!
He sang down! Yes!
Holland Opus It's even rarer because he wasn't the lead singer.
I know Ronnie is a successful realtor but what is Ralph doing?
I think Ralph could have been more successful but Bobby beat him to the punch. Timing is everything.
I love Ronnie... talent or not...."Is this the End" so touching and the transition was everything
Latise Wilson he was my fav! his dancing was so smooth and i thought he was so cute.
cashcow babe More like ET... still cute tho
Yeah. He looks thin.
Bobby was a star from the beginning, he just fucked up so much. Alot of younger ppl dont even know alot of his music because they know him as Whitney's ex husband or Bobbi K's dad. Bobby had a great catalog of music. New Edition is still good.
Why you mention they domestic partnership??! I dead ass laid down in my bed....💀💀💀
Qu Re I did too Lmboooo
Qu Re OMG me too!!!!!!
+Qu Re LMAO too. Too much info to handle 9:09 "...Dem Queens is good"
Qu Re Move ova so I can lay beside you! 😂😂😂
BabyBeyonce09 yes come lay next to me so Jesus can take us both home 😂😂
BET needs to Aliyah life story over...
Butter Sweet girl, who do we want to play that old nasty, freaky R. Kelly.
Shon A me🤕
Butter Sweet I think it would be tightened up if Dame Dash was in on that- he'd make dammed sure they'd get it right...
Chaka Khan got Mikki on that DOKA!!! 😂😂😂
tasha young 💀
tasha young "the way y'all spraaayed Chaka Khan..." 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i was dying
The Boyz II Men Story is ripe for telling. BET can just pick up where the New Edition story left off (when Mike Bivens met them and asked them to call him)...
C'mon BET!!!
Ronnie was the dancer and the hype man. Ronnie actually has always held the group together. Love him!
the kids need a jodeci movie. BET. expose Diddy. I'm ready for a bobby brown spinoff.
YES!!! I said I wanted to see a Mary J biopic. She has STORIES. She's currently making a story. And a Bad Boy one would be excellent, as well.
Wayment... a Bobbi Christina biopic?!?!?! No shade, but what... why??!!
Natural Hair Guru I agree....
Natural Hair Guru Right!
they're money went to expenses, Ralphs first album did fine sensitivity is the jam the second didn't do well
Right, I wonder why people keep saying that Ralph's album didn't do anything. They used to play Sensitivity on the loop back in the day.
Kiki Green His first went Platinum slowly lol
That cause people don't remember since they may have been too young at the time. I was around 8 when NE Heartbreak came out and remember when Bobby came out as well as Ralph who was always my favorite
!
Do What I Gotta Do was a #1 R&B hit also. Ralph did not do as well because his voice and his act was still New Edition. He was already familiar.
I love your videos!
"TVOne stop fuckin over people lives......"😅😅😅😅😅
Bobby had the best solo career but has the least to show quiet as it's kept Ralph has more money than him
DivaDivaFashionista Hell, I believe you. Bobby was the same dude that was sleeping on Superhead's couch at one time.
Morgan Simon And let's not forget him getting his ass kidnapped and Whitney paying the hostages to release him. 😅
sundae6969 Wait, what now?
His ass got kidnapped and was held at an abandoned building in the Bronx cause he owed drug dealers some money and Whitney had to pay the ransom
sundae6969 Damn! Smh. How did you get this tea?
Ronnie's purpose: to be fine as wine, dance his butt of and spit those fire rap lyrics in BBD😄😄😍😍 Bell biv devoe, ha ha ha haaa now ya know.😂😂
Bobby had too much sauce for the group.
TheMochamomof3 Bobby was everything back then lol
Quiet as it's kept, the Tupac biopic better come correct this summer or Black Twitter and the whole black internet is going to go the fuck in!...BET most definitely set the bar high with this one.
Ralph learned what so many lead singers learned. Just like Coko from SWV and Tasha from Xscape, people have to learn that the people don't want to see every good singer as a solo artist. That Michael Jackson and Beyonce break-away success is actually kinda rare.

ocky88 Not rare when u sell ur soul
ocky88 But unlike Coko and Tasha. Ralph went platinum and had success with his solo album.
ocky88 They did it the right way also still did the thang with the group. Not just throw yo group to the side and think they were about to do it.
I wouldn't mind seeing a biopic on Wu Tang, Xcape or Jodeci.
I would love to see biopics on Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross/Supremes, Gladys Knight & Donna Summers.
Ralph's first solo album was successful. The 2nd one flopped.
That would be a good movie to watch for real.
Ronnie brought the spirit in the performance and was huge part of poison due to his verse which was iconic
Exactly if you ever see them in concert you can't take your eyes of Ronnie dancing because he is the best one
Ronnie deserve to be in New Edition as much as all of them
AND... #RonnieD still looks good today! He must be a #vegan!
smack it up, flip it, rub it down
Great review, Dineva!
Jaqueta84 Tank was really good.
Yes Micheal Bivens was a straight up BOSS! But let's talk about how Bobby kept instigating a fight and losing the damn fight haha. That scene had me weak af
Also, I agree with you on the Mary J Blige idea, and I'd like to see a Jodeci/K-Ci and Jojo biopic too!
Puffy couldn't sit his @ still long enough to keep the spotlight on his artists.
jodeci would be a great look for BET to do next
Benitra Hampton Yes they would!! This would be good!!
Right each member got an interesting story to tell
They say VH1 is doing Jodeci
Benitra Hampton I hope they include the story of one who had the tumultuous relationship Mary J Blige.Include that toxic relationship
Yes that relationship was crazy I would love to see that
I beg to differ Tank did an excellent job
You know VH1 is doing a JODECI Biopic! They better not mess that up
juelya right... They-better- not-mess-that-up!!!👊
Johnny Gill said he went backrupt and lost everything. Nobody is mentioning the fact that both sets of boys sang their own vocals and not overdubs like other biopics. Hakeem is from my home Philly.
Glenda Burrus Pure talent! i noticed and was in awe. talented boys
He sat on his project for so long, Bobby took advantage of the timing and he even said "I can't put it out now, after Bobby ,its gonna look like we're doing the same music." which implies that he went back to the studio and changed his project. lol. I don't think any of us expected the NE story would be that good.
I agree with Luke James and Tank. Luke definitely pulled off the vocals, but he just needs a little more experience with his acting because he wasn't that bad. Tank however needs to just stop. I mean stop it all and go work at Tyrese's backyard Starbucks serving latte's or something.
Lol
Holland Opus lol leave Tank alone
Holland Opus lmfaoooooooooooo yaaaaaaaaaaaa.......i agree. love tank but just...he needs to..no
Thank God you're feeling better Dineva Ross.
An EnVogue Biopic...
Johnny Gill definitely changed the sound of NE. I remember the transition as a child. Still love NE Heartbreak!
Ralph's solo project sold 5 million, Bobby's sold 10 mil, and BBD sold 3 mil, and the sophomore albums for all of them tanked.
Ralph had the talent. Bobby had all the star power
they should have had Leon Robinson( Cynthia Ex) play tank part
Not singing at a truck stop.😂😂😂 I almost choked on my Now & Later.
This biopic wasn't a success because of BET alone. Its success has a great deal to do with the casting and the input of the original members. I loved the entire movie, casting dancing,singing,acting...
EXACTLY! This biopic was successful because for once, the artists weren't afraid to tell their TRUTHS.
2 live crew the first rap group to face the Supreme Court over freedom of speech. BET I done gave y'all the idea now y'all need to do the work
Jessica B That would be an interesting movie but, I'm not sure how they would make that into a made for TV movie because they were VERY raunchy.I can remember them actually having a girl on stage sucking fans peen to the beat of the song while she twerked at the same damn time. They were definitely X rated .
Lifetime is doing the Kang Michael Jackson now we know that will be a mess.
Gwendolyn Johnson they are going to try to cast Michael Bolton I'm sure 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@ Gwendolyn Johnson Flatlined! Beeeep.............................. 😂😂😂😂
Gwendolyn Johnson Oh my god no! Please say it ain't so! Who they got playing MJ?! Orlando Brown?! 😂
Jessica B. probably Lex Lugar from Smallville knowing them
empressorius lol
BET has to do Jodeci next! It would be full of drama.
Chile cheese we knew Bobby was broke when Whitney told us he was running up her credit card bill!
Moral of the New Edition story: Read your damn contract
Ralph's first CD was a hit CD and Sensitivity was a number one record.
Shit I wouldn't mind seeing one for Rick James.
DINEVVVVAAAAA you will never say them people have a domestic partnership! I fell 💀 to the 🛏 hunni.
I BEEN waiting on this !!!!!!!!!
Glad you feel better and Love your review
i can see why Ralph thought his solo career would jump off lol hell he was the only one singing in New Edition lol and please start reviewing STAR that show is AMAZING
Bobby made it because he was eventually signed directly to MCA while NE wasnt
Biopics that we need: Mary J., Brandy, Boyz II Men, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross
sorry, neva but u got it wrong. ralph tresvant DID have a successful r&b album but it did not go pop. although he did do well, he didnt do as well as gill, brown, or bbd. they all crossed over to pop charts multiple times. ralph also tours with bobby and ricky. they tour as the lead singers and sing all the hits in tuxes
gospelevans That's Bobby, Ralph, and Johnny (Head of State)
Bobby Brown was kicked out the the group. He didn't have any other choice but to go solo.
Shoot i need to see a Jodeci Biopic!
Kiara Birmingham VH1 is doing it! They just announced it the other day!
Nicole C. really now!! i want BET to do them all now. i wonder what that casting looking like?!
Nicole C. really now!! i want BET to do them all now. i wonder what that casting looking like?!
Kiara Birmingham I know right! I said the same thing, BET needs to do them all! Lifetime needs to not ever do another biopic lol
Miss Rose Agreed! Lifetime is the dollar store version of every story they do! and the snippets of the music, just doesn't cut it for me. They need to sit and watch this one and take notes. Aaliyah one was beyond tacky.
Somebody played Whitney in the movie? When?
Farrah I chile ..it was on Lifetime Bobby didn't look nothing like Bobby and it was a MESS....but Deborah Cox did sing her ass off but a bodyguard musical...... chile please..... I think she always thought she could sing as good as Whitney
and somebody else play Whitney Deborah just provided The Voice the girl off of America's Next Top Model but I can't remember her name played Whitney
Farrah yes it was just a back shit I'd her dancing with Bobby at the wedding
Farrah I yaya from top model
I think she's talking about the New Edition movie.
Yes, Farrah, they only showed the back of her while she danced with Bobby at Ronnie's wedding reception.
He slid that Johnny/Eddie crack so slick though lol
I couldn't even get into Tank's acting bc of that hair they put on him lol
Kiera Campbell ME TOO LMFAO i kept laughing whenever i saw him...plus im used to seeing him on sister of hip hop joking around w/ Siya 😋
Kiera Campbell yesss he looked like he was going to come through the bosley hair commercials with that lace front😂😂😂😂😂
I wanna hang out and drink brown juice with you so bad! Hilarious!
I thought Tank's acting was spot on.
BET need to make an En Vogue biopic
I want to see the following biopics come to life: Mary J. Blige, SWV, Salt N Pepa, and Run DMC. And if it ain't don't like New Edition don't do it at all. Dineva you are right, BET set the bar for biopics!
I agree BET did an outstanding job with the New Edition movie. The Mikki Howard movie was better than Lifetime movies. Eddie Winslow played Gerald Levert. Love you Dineva!
Yesssssss!!! I have been waiting for this! Bobby Brown could not remain a part of N.E. and do the "Bobby Brown"
thing!
Also the Missy and Timbaland story I feel there’s a lot of behind the scene’s drama there too????
excuse me but Bobby's financial stability is LARGELY because of Whitney.
gina ducheine not really he had more cash when they married. he left not getting a dime and they said even now he worth 5 million or more. but mike is worth 40 million. whitney net worth was more but that was because she had properties and things but Bobby had more cash than she did. the other members are broke frfr
+Kianna Tittle ok
gina ducheine Ralph is worth 8 million and Ricky is worth 15 million they are far from broke.
Dexter Telesford Ok. I never mention either of them nor their past or current finances.
I'm happy to see you're feeling better. The young men who portrayed NE did a fine job But that cutie who played Bobby Brown was just like Bobby, the stand out in the crowd.
Hey Dineva Girl!! Welcome Back Luv!
Awww I thought Tank did very well. I cracked up for 5 minutes when I first saw him with that "smush bush" though lol
Please review LHHNY even if it's 3 minutes lol
Abena Walker Maaaannnn please they soooo uggghh Im ready for Atl!! Yandy seem all about Yandy..and the creep squad is a girl scout group lol and Amenia goin back to Peter IF Tara don't take him back first 😒
+Queen ME 😂😂😂😂
😂 I know right! But you know he don't really watch it that much cuz its boring lol! But I can't wait for him to review it too.
A louie armstrong biopic would be awesome. He had a good boy image, but hella baby mamas & marriages. Would love to know about hife behind the scenes
IconicCutz A Dinah Washington biopic would be nice. I think Jill Scott would be great in the role.
I watched this twice! You are hilarious 😂 yang yang yang...
u get my vote ✋for another aaliyah movie and Mary j
Rick James would be a good Biopic!
You are so right on the bar being set with the New Edition biopic. I can't remember the last time I watched BET, but that biopic has brought me BACK! It was high quality tv narrative.
Mint Condition and Tony Toni Tone should be next
