I attended two telecasts of Bozo back in 1976. I wanted to play the Grand Prize Game so badly, but the arrows didn't fall my way. (They had the camera move around real fast with arrows on the screen and would stop on a kid to be chosen to play back then) I had a Grand Prize Game set to practice at home, which I did the night before I went to the show. We had a connection to get on the show without waiting because my cousin worked for Tru-Link Fence that advertised on WGN at the time. Because of this, mother and I got to lead the Grand March at the end of the show. My mother told me that if I were older, I would have probably gotten to play the relay race game later in the show.

Lot of people thought that they were rigged or picked them prior to the show so it won't take that time for someone to look at the numbers and then have to walk down. Probably the same thing about the wheel of fortune except they called out people's names instead. But..on that let's make a deal show it looked convenient when the "potential winner" would be sitting closer to the front. The new version of that show was not nearly as good as the old original one. That, and few more like the whammy show I can't think of and especially family feud that show has been done to death and not as good as the very first ones. Little creepy what one of the hosts did. I'm sure y'all know which one, the touchy feely kisses women and underage very young girls on the mouth.moslty preteen. Wouldn't happen again his ass wouldn't be on the sex offender register list.

I loved this game. We used to play this at home. We would line up buckets and throw ping pong balls in them.
    No prizes, though.

I'm older... had Bob Bell as Bozo. The show was on at noon... I'd hurry home from 1st grade to get lunch & watch a bit of Bozo... The children were selected for the Grand Prize Game by 'Magic Arrows' in the cameras... the cameramen would pan around while these arrows flashed on the TV & when the action stopped, if the arrows were pointing to a boy or girl, that boy or girl would be the contestant. One thing stayed the same... #6 prize was a Schwinn bike!

Also, by then they were using the “Bozoputer” to pick contestants. Before that they would just wing the camera around & “randomly” end up on a boy or girl.

Even the station that cancelled Bozo (WGN) aren't saints either.
They replaced it with their morning news show which nothing more than so called journalists trying out for SNL rather than doing actual reporting
