My uncle is an apostolic pastor. He’s took over an Apostolic church that belonged to his mother. His mother passed away in 1996, he was older back then. And he preaches the same way to this day. And that’s the church congregation is disintegrating now. It’s shrinking. They say there ain’t no young person at church. Ok y’all need a young pastor after my uncle dies. Noooo the next person in line is a man not much younger than my uncle. I’m like that’s why there’s no young people at church cause y’all don’t have any young ministers 39 abs younger,

Evans announced his retirement. One of my favorite quotes he said on that Sunday was, "you want to leave when you on top and everybody is begging you to stay..." Chosen TinyT I think that is not true because once you are called by GOD; one never retires it not Biblical. Look at Paul, Peter, Samuel, Daniel, Elisha, Elijah, Moses and many other patriarchs. Please read the Bible, one never retires from the service ALMIGHTY GOD through Christ Jesus our Lord. There is nothing wrong with dying on the pulpit because the Pastor has passed. The elders and the pastors are supposed to come together chose some people who are filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT and righteousness. Then they should fast and pray and ALMIGHTY GOD through Christ Jesus our Lord will chose the right person because HE alone can see the hearts of men. Read ACTS 1: 12 - 26; it instructs us how to choose GODS’ preacher not man’s preacher.
@@pantonpam8024 I agree, no one 'retires", but there are repeated examples in the Bible where leaders pass the mantle for leadership to their successor as Pastor Jenkins is doing. Examples include Moses to Joshua, Paul to Timothy, Samuel anointed David, Elijah to Elisha; too many pastors are not disciplining others to succeed them in pastoral ministry. Jesus said "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). Wow, just wow! I need a love button for this. Our egos are so fragile. I love and appreciate the fact that you trust God enough to let it go and move to your next season. Most times, Pastors miss out on living because they Pastor until they die. What about preparing legacy? What about mentoring and handing off to next generation. It takes a strong healthy person to do that. I see so much life in that. Blessings to you, your wife and your church family as you obey God and flourish in your next season. I am in a small town & I have seen how a leader didn't prepare by grooming a younger leader, & now they are having to run a muck trying to get someone to fill the position because the church is almost EMPTY! Wow! Let it Go!! Or you will suffer the consequences of being embarrassed later. This is such a Blessing!! You know there is wisdom in preparing for the next leader. I am blessed by this Pastor Jenkins. While I see pastor as a lifetime appointment I also see the tolls the calling takes on a pastor's life and his/her family, as a side note I'm not condoning or condemning women pastoring. Ignore the haters and the so called apostle and the super saints that have a direct line to Our Father that we don't and keep seeking His will. My fellowship could be or is facing a similar issue in the very near future. My Pastor has been teaching a lot on passing the bataan so I am inspired by your testimony. I believe that many of the naysayers here did not LISTEN to what Pastor Jenkins said. He was called by God to SERVE. He has done that and now, per God's calling again, the first leg of his race is coming to an end. He is not retiring from serving God or the people. God has instructed him to prepare for the next journey that He has for him. He will continue to minister to people in whatever capacity God has in His plan for him. At this point, he is retiring from preaching in the pulpit in a church, but he will continue to minister to people in some capacity. because you never retire from ministry. I have seen many pastors run a church into the ground because they stayed longer than God intended for them to stay, and they did not listen to His call to end one race and start another one. I wish him many blessings as he continues to listen to God about his future in ministry.

Sounds like he got tired. Listening to the story, hes been going full throttle since he was a youngster. Didnt really have a chance to do much else but preach and Pastor all these years. It can really burn you out which is why Pastors really need to take care of themselves. God has to give that strength to keep serving in that capacity because it is a lot. Honestly it is better for him to step down and retire if his heart really isnt in it anymore than to keep trying to do it because people think he should. Its between him and God. Hopefully hes making the right decision and I wish him and his family well.
Amen. Many Christians are launched into their ministries prematurely (before they are ready to withstand the level of warfare and problems that come with the positions). It would help if people (especially worship leaders, teachers, pastors, prophets, teachers, etc.) are completely trained before they are placed in an exalted position because if the shepherd is struck, then the sheep will scatter. For example, marriage and parenthood are the highest-level ministries in God's Kingdom...yet people frequently get married and have children way before God actually released them. They find out when it gets too hot for them to handle. See divorce, abandonment, etc. The children (followers) suffer (lose faith in God, detour from their own callings, etc.).
May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you. May the Lord continue to shine His face on you. May the Lord continue to lift up His countenance upon and may continue to grant you shalom(peace) and favor. By your testimony it is obvious that God is with you. We know that pastor Jenkins finish his work this man come out of the holiness sanctified church that’s like taking steps backwards when you leave Pentecostal to go join a baptist church but fellowship wasn’t just a baptist church rev clay Evans is save with Holy Ghost speaking in tongues the only way to keep that church on the right path is for rev find his successor in a Pentecostal church not a traditional baptist church who don’t believe in speaking in tongues is a big part of salvation. This may not make any sense the Lord connect those two together now years later look at fellowship still going strong in the Lord now pastor Jenkins is retiring and passing the baton onto another sanctified pastor who can continue build on that Holy Ghost success in the Lord.

Pastor Jenkins thank you for listening to God! I Pastor in Montgomery Al. One of the most beloved Pastor tarnished his legacy by refusing to graciously retire. His health is failing and the church he was Pastoring wanted him to retire with a very generous package but he refused and they ended up bringing legal into the picture. He eventually settled out of court. The church is in shambles and is currently in the search for a new Pastor. This Pastor has tarnished his legacy and all of the great things that he's done is overlooked because he refused to step down and retire.
This is known as passing on the mantle; progression is always part of Gods plan I so respect the humbleness and honesty of this, I pray that God will continue to bless your ministry .

Ayiana Henry Exactly. People forget that to everything there is a season. God, spoke to Pastor Jenkins, and is calling him to something else that he has for him to do. He is not saying he is retiring from serving or preaching he is being obedient to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Many could learn from him. Often times we see preachers/leaders who allow self and ego keep them in something that God has called them to move on from. That causes problems for the congregation that they were entrusted with stagnation, splintering, drama etc. Pastor Jenkins, is following God leaving the church whole and well is the best thing that any God ordained leader can do. Evans announced his retirement. One of my favorite quotes he said on that Sunday was, "you want to leave when you on top and everybody is begging you to stay..." There is nothing wrong with dying on the pulpit because the Pastor has passed. The elders and the pastors are supposed to come together chose some people who are filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT and righteousness. Then they should fast and pray and ALMIGHTY GOD through Christ Jesus our Lord will chose the right person because HE alone can see the hearts of men. Read ACTS 1: 12 - 26; it instructs us how to choose GODS’ preacher not man’s preacher.

Examples include Moses to Joshua, Paul to Timothy, Samuel anointed David, Elijah to Elisha; too many pastors are not disciplining others to succeed them in pastoral ministry. Jesus said "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). Wow, just wow! I need a love button for this. Our egos are so fragile. I love and appreciate the fact that you trust God enough to let it go and move to your next season. Most times, Pastors miss out on living because they Pastor until they die. What about preparing legacy? What about mentoring and handing off to next generation. I am in a small town & I have seen how a leader didn't prepare by grooming a younger leader, & now they are having to run a muck trying to get someone to fill the position because the church is almost EMPTY! Wow! Let it Go!! Or you will suffer the consequences of being embarrassed later. This is such a Blessing!! You know there is wisdom in preparing for the next leader. While I see pastor as a lifetime appointment I also see the tolls the calling takes on a pastor's life and his/her family, as a side note I'm not condoning or condemning women pastoring. I believe that many of the naysayers here did not LISTEN to what Pastor Jenkins said. He was called by God to SERVE. He has done that and now, per God's calling again, the first leg of his race is coming to an end. He is not retiring from serving God or the people. God has instructed him to prepare for the next journey that He has for him. He will continue to minister to people in whatever capacity God has in His plan for him. At this point, he is retiring from preaching in the pulpit in a church, but he will continue to minister to people in some capacity. because you never retire from ministry. I have seen many pastors run a church into the ground because they stayed longer than God intended for them to stay, and they did not listen to His call to end one race and start another one. I wish him many blessings as he continues to listen to God about his future in ministry.

Sounds like he got tired. Listening to the story, hes been going full throttle since he was a youngster. Didnt really have a chance to do much else but preach and Pastor all these years. It can really burn you out which is why Pastors really need to take care of themselves. God has to give that strength to keep serving in that capacity because it is a lot. Honestly it is better for him to step down and retire if his heart really isnt in it anymore than to keep trying to do it because people think he should. Its between him and God. Hopefully hes making the right decision and I wish him and his family well.
Amen. Many Christians are launched into their ministries prematurely (before they are ready to withstand the level of warfare and problems that come with the positions). It would help if people (especially worship leaders, teachers, pastors, prophets, teachers, etc.) are completely trained before they are placed in an exalted position because if the shepherd is struck, then the sheep will scatter. For example, marriage and parenthood are the highest-level ministries in God's Kingdom...yet people frequently get married and have children way before God actually released them. They find out when it gets too hot for them to handle. See divorce, abandonment, etc. The children (followers) suffer (lose faith in God, detour from their own callings, etc.).

We know that pastor Jenkins finish his work this man come out of the holiness sanctified church that’s like taking steps backwards when you leave Pentecostal to go join a baptist church but fellowship wasn’t just a baptist church rev clay Evans is save with Holy Ghost speaking in tongues the only way to keep that church on the right path is for rev find his successor in a Pentecostal church not a traditional baptist church who don’t believe in speaking in tongues is a big part of salvation. This may not make any sense the Lord connect those two together now years later look at fellowship still going strong in the Lord now pastor Jenkins is retiring and passing the baton onto another sanctified pastor who can continue build on that Holy Ghost success in the Lord.

Pastor Jenkins thank you for listening to God! I Pastor in Montgomery Al. One of the most beloved Pastor tarnished his legacy by refusing to graciously retire. His health is failing and the church he was Pastoring wanted him to retire with a very generous package but he refused and they ended up bringing legal into the picture. He eventually settled out of court. The church is in shambles and is currently in the search for a new Pastor. This Pastor has tarnished his legacy and all of the great things that he's done is overlooked because he refused to step down and retire.
This is known as passing on the mantle; progression is always part of Gods plan

Please just leave him alone. He is listening to the Holy Spirit & being obedience. Neither one of us Know what Lord God through Holy Spirit told him to do. God speaks to each one personally. Just as Jesus prayed by himself in the garden before His trial, mockery made by the leaders. He went humbly and paid the price for our sins on The Cross alone. Holy Spirit gives unction & utterances One on One. RIGHT???
Yes I totally agree with you on the fact that GOD uses many different types of venues to encourage and enlighten us. Also He has used even the media, movies, songs, books and music to warn us about future events without the knowledge of the author or publisher or producer or even the artist.
Let's take the song by Simon and Garfunkel the sound of SILENCE.
Through them back in 1969 we were WARNED that people will start worshipping a New and different type of a GOD, TECHNOLOGY.
The prophetic lyrics of THE SOUND OF SILENCE speaks to a NEON LIGHT.
The lyrics speaks of PEOPLE TALKING WITHOUT SPEAKING.
Then there are the lyrics that says
AND THE PEOPLE BOWED AND PRAYED TO THE NEON GOD THEY MADE.
Okay let's break this down.
Your Computer screen, cell phone screen, tablet screen, flat TV screen and video game screen are all NEON lights. People cannot do without them.
No one talks with WITH not to but WITH each other. They TEXT each other even though they are in the same room or house. Talking without speaking is TEXTING AND EMAILING a non verbal person who has become an electronic entity.

Everywhere you go a NEON light is flashing into your eyes and that image is being seared in your brain. We see GIANT electronic BILLBOARDS and GIANT flat screen televisions bombarding us from everywhere.

Hello ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?It's like being a code breaker I see between the lines of everything I read and hear there are CRYPTIC MESSAGES AND WARNINGS.
I actually thought that I was going crazy wondering if the next thing I read or heard was a CRYPTIC MESSAGE .

I'll be praying for you, your wife, Fellowship, and the new Pastor Reginald Sharpe, and his wife. Thanks for showing us what a true transition looks like. A Pastor retiring isn't always about scandal, or a "doom and gloom" situation. This video really brought some things to my mind as I will be transitioning from teaching to other endeavors. Ayiana Henry Exactly. People forget that to everything there is a season. God, spoke to Pastor Jenkins, and is calling him to something else that he has for him to do. He is not saying he is retiring from serving or preaching he is being obedient to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Many could learn from him. Often times we see preachers/leaders who allow self and ego keep them in something that God has called them to move on from. That causes problems for the congregation that they were entrusted with stagnation, splintering, drama etc. Pastor Jenkins, is following God leaving the church whole and well is the best thing that any God ordained leader can do. Prayers to he and his wife as the follow God into the next chapter of their lives and prayers for Rev Sharpe and his wife as they follow God into this next chapter of their lives as well. 🙏🏾

A man living for himself can't have parts of Godliness and part fleshly? One has to die in order for the other to live! What good is it for a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very own soul? Mark 8:36 Amen. Bible is needed here!
