    That’s pretty cool. Between 1904 and 1915 they built lots of railroad tracks, depots and stations. Some of the areas in the video are still old school. They past through residential and industrial areas. The right or way and tracks were there first.

      This is a spur about a half mile long that goes through a neighborhood with will though traffic. The only gates on this short spur are on Western Ave and Normandie Ave. Also, it was only in 2018 when the Union Pacific replaced the original Wig Wag signals from the Pacific Electric era.

    Jesus Christ, so much graffiti on those engines

      Yeah, they are stored near downtown and they are not well protected. All engines assigned to the LA local service get 100% graffitied within a few months.

    Nice Video! :) & I am at Gardena California. What time does the Union Pacific Torrance Local train come usually?

    • @nates.vintage.trains
      @nates.vintage.trains  2 года назад +1

      I think most weekdays. I know it comes through Wednesdays and Fridays (maybe more), in the mid morning to early afternoon.

      One is a GP38 or GP40. The other is a GP60. (SD locomotives have six axle trucks).

      I hate the graffiti quite frankly. People need to learn to respect others property.

    How are you listening to the train operator? What’s the frequency?

      @nates.vintage.trains  2 года назад +2

      I have a scanner with me. I have shown it in another similar video to this one. The frequency is 161.43
