Good luck with the production version of this! You'll be a hero of the pocket-3-averse if you can pull it off! Companies like Ulanzi have so far thrown up their hands, saying it's not possible. Can't wait for you to prove 'em wrong!
It seems great and not too difficult to make. I thought that the reason that they didn't make such zoom lenses is somehow related to the potential weight but obviously there is no problem with that. You had a great idea, Eddie, but be proactive and fast: there should be manufacturers of lenses that will be interested, so do a search and contact them before the idea is realised by someone else. ~Philip
Larger sensors require larger lenses for that exact reason. Most cell phones have tiny sensors compared to the Pocket 3 so it makes sense that the 3rd party lenses have small holes. That's why Moment had to make new (larger) versions of their lenses when cell phone sensors started growing and look how massive they became lol. It's definitely doable but it will require something specifically designed for the Pocket 3 from the start. Edit: I just noticed the update lol
I haven't tried any yet. But there is a chance we add that in as an option that we sell with our kit. We are currently developing a 2x lens with a really cool system that may open up an opportunity for a range of interchangeable lenses. Keep your eye out for my video when we are about to launch.
It's definitely not as good, but it's not better than most cameras at that focal distance. Because of this video, I've found a business partner, and we are full steam ahead in creating a refined version that we will be selling. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for my follow-up video when we launch sales.
@@EddieStudios "MoA Tele 2x lens for DJI Osmo Pocket 3" someone is already onto it. But yeah I agree that pocket 3 needs a telephoto lens, and then it's an almost perfect cam.
@tadassimkus1 Someone else did tell me that they make it. But they're also out of Korea, and I feel like somebody needs to be distributing them from the US. So i'm trying to get on it. I did have a product designer reach out to me, and we are working on it , so I will have a video up as soon as I have them for sale.
Thank you! I have a partner now, and we are working on creating a refined version to be selling soon. Keep an eye out for a video from me when they launch.
Hi friend. Please help me fin a solution for this problem.I use the Mimo app with my DJI Osmo SE, but I'm experiencing an issue where the recorded video output doesn't match what I see on the screen. The screen view appears bright, but the recorded video is automatically captured with lower light levels.
I'm not sure. The only thing I might suggest is to turn your screen brightness down. That way it would feel more accurate to what you're getting. Use your histogram to monitor exposure. Dji does have a help option on their site where you can message them.
@@EddieStudios thank you for your prompt reply. The screen brightness is really good especially night. But when we record and playback it looks dull with less light
This is a nice idea, although I'm not necessarily seeing the usefulness of a telephoto lens for this particular camera. The trouble with lens attachments for the Pocket 3 is that they can foul the gimbal if you're not extra, extra careful. This is the biggest flaw with the Pocket 3, IMO. I like the camera well enough, but it's most suited for low-key handheld vlogging, rather than situations where I'd find a telephoto lens useful. Nonetheless, I do hope you can realize your idea before a multi-million dollar corporation pulls the rug out from under you on it.
It seems like everyone finds their best use scenarios for their cameras. You may be right on the vlogging aspect for a lot of people for sure. I myself can't stop figuring out ways to use mine. Thanks for your support. I have found a product designer and we are making them now. Hopefully starting to sell very soon.
UPDATE: The lens is ready for pre-order. Link in the description
That's awesome! Excited to hear more about it!
I am 100% interested in this. Is there a way you can gather emails and send out an email to us when y'all have it it ready?
How do I get on a mailing list?
Really? Please do it with great glass quality. It will rock the market.
Send me an email at eddiefilmstudios@gmail.com just add "telephoto lens" in the subject line. I will make sure you are notified.
Thanks so much for making this product a reality!!!!!!! This will improve my filmaking so much!!!!

We're working on it. Stay tuned for a launch in the next couple of weeks. I will make a video to announce it.
@@EddieStudios Wow! Two weeks to launch is super fast! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
I would LOVE longer lenses. I'd buy basically every one. This on a boom pole/monopod/selfie stick to get easy crane-like shots would be amazing.
Someone has reached out to me to make these. Keep your eyes out. I should have some for sale in the near future.

Thanks. It would be a shame to miss out on the opportunity.
Good idea, but I see too much chromatic aberriation (which is normal for tele converter lens)

I wouldn't mind a longer lens. What I really need, however, is a top quality macro lens. No junk. Do you know of any that are worth looking at?

Maybe you could try and do this with the Neewer Telephoto lens for IPhone 15.
Can you shoot me a link to it over on my Instagram?
Otherwise, I would like to transfer the amount directly. You are the only one selling this, so I don’t have much choice.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What is the weight of the lens?
Love this! Can't wait for your refined version! Any thoughts into doing a x4 as well down the road?
It's something to hopefully aim for. We are going to do our best to make a great 2x one as for now.
I think its a good idea. Only reason I can think it hasn't been done is the stabilization is probably a lot worse when using a telephoto lens.

@@EddieStudios I have a colleague who uses it and has wanted a telephoto. So there is a market. Best of luck.
Have been looking for this for ages, sign me up ill buy 2 of them right now! 😂🙏
The idea is solid. It looks pretty good. If not, you then someone needs to produce these.
I want to be the someone for sure.

@@EddieStudios YEEEEEES! I will definitely buy one!
Anyone try this on a DJI drone? The mini 3 pro has a little bit smaller sensor than the pocket, could work even better?
Thanks a lot for this great idea.
No problem. I, along with a partner, have made a version of this that we are going to start selling next week. Keep an eye out for my launch video.
Are they already for sale?
Grtz
Yes, there is a link to the site in the description
Could you also send this to Belgium?
@eddiestudios You can only deliver to the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. Is there any possibility to deliver to Belgium as well?
We are working on adding more countries. I will update you when I have more information.
I need this!
It's coming. We will launch this coming week. Watch out for my release video.
unfortunately I live in France .. so I can't receive it 😪..
Awesome idea. keep forward.
There is a website link in the description! Check out what we've made.
yes. I would love a telephoto lens.
I think I am going to start production on a better version soon. I will make a video as soon as they are ready to sell.

Thanks. We are making one to sell. Keep your eyes open or shoot me an email to receive the email when we launch. Eddiefilmstudios@gmail.com

I will for sure!
Cool!🎉Thank You
Absolutely. I have someone helping me make 3d printed ones that we're going to sell. Keep an eye out for a video when it is ready for sale.
What's the weight of the telephoto lens?
The one from this video 7 grams ish. I will have a weight on the one we are selling here in a couple of days.
Perhaps a camcorder lens…bigger aperture/glass…heavier too…
I think if it got any heavier then what i made it won't work.
Nice work
Thanks. I have a partner now and we're building a version that we will be selling shortly. Watch for an updated video when it's ready for market.
It’s been two months since this video, has anybody ever purchased this lens yet to see if it really works or not. I’m not into pre-orders
I think you can get better image quality by simply cropping in the post
