Yoongi is going different direction with this album. He let go of all the anger and with it all the agressive spitting. Now he is more chilled, which is not a bad thing. I love his sound right now. His singing improved as well, by a lot. I wouldnt be surprised if theres a legit folk/rock /alternative rock song on his album. I am just a little worried that there will be people expecting AgustD or daechwita 2.0 and not finding it, starting complaining and hate campaigns. I really really hope this doesnt happen.
I want Yoongi happy, at peace with himself, inspired to do all kinds of music, more than I want another hardcore rap song. Just do what makes him happy.
Saying all this, i still have zero idea what the album sounds like, of course, i might be completely off.
They did the same with Namjoon when Namjoon made the change of direction and left his anger behind and kept saying they miss "rap monster" and dismissing the different artistic directions RM wanted to go in. I hope they don't do it with Yoongi too. Namjoon refuses to be pigeonholed into only "hardcore rap" as he already proved himself and it looks like Yoongi is going to try and follow the same path to expand his range further. Can't wait to hear the album if it's all different genres like Namjoons as I loved Indigo. Let's go D-Day❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
@@m.m.9175 Stole his idea? Namjoon has been working on this album for 4 years before the pandemic and BE interviews. Just because he never said it on Camera like Yoongi it doesn't mean he wasn't doing before. He released first because his album was already started. If you watched all Namjoons interviews about the album you would know that the song with Kim Sawol (folk genre) was the first to be completed in 2019 when he was 26.

@@m.m.9175 you really forgetting joon released Mono in 2018 and worked on it from even before. Namjoon already changed his direction from angry rap and rap monster ages ago. before yoongi even released D2. If anything he was the first among the rappers to change his direction and experiment with different genres. Such an odd thing to say even if you didn't have any ill intentions.
I like it. And I don't think he'll care about any hate campaigns. They seem to have moved passed giving a hoot about all of that. I like the vibe of this song. Everyone loving BTS who does all kind of genres and then acts shocked when the solos are so varied. Lol, those people are ridiculous. BTS is great because they love music and explore it. I can't wait for this album to drop.
♦️Suga actually won award for Best R&B Producer of year when he worked with Suran (who he had feat. In “So Far Away”, on her own song, "Wine", as well as Suran won as Best R&B singer that yr 2018, as well. He's also such a phenomenal lyricist. From his Agust'D mixtape. Was so happy when you reacted to the original AgustD ft, Suran version of “So Far Away. I also always wanted to hear how Jimin sounded, when Yo9ngi used Jimin as the guide for the song. The lyrics, the gut-wrenching, so emotional, heartfelt delivery, as well as Suran's beautiful r&b vocals are amazing, so inspirational, meaningful, need to be heard, beautiful song! Suran is a solo R&B artist that Suga worked with again on her song 'Wine', later on as producer, which he won for Best R&B producer for that yr as well as Suran won for Best R&B Artist that yr as well!! But a loving especially this particular song with IU. Her vocals were just stunningly beautiful. Yoongi has also worked with another equally well know r&b artist Hieze, who he produced for as well, that I don’t recall being react to yet.
I'm sure he meant the Suran song, but Yoongi also produced and featured on IU's Eight.
I'm loving this song as I knew Iu's voice fits perfectly with Yoongis rapping and also IU is my all time fav female soloist so I'm just happy these two collabed again, also the MV is so beautiful and I also love the lyrics aswell

I mean, I get the whole 24 hr respect thing. But even if they drop their reaction immediately and I watch it, it's not like it would take away from the count on the official mv. Because I would not have spent that time watching it instead! I may watch the official mv half a dozen times that day because I love the song. Life doesn't become easier when you understand yourself, but the difference I feel is that you can start to see a path forward. Whereas without that, there is no way to really choose to change. It's harder to grow.
IU collects awards just for breathing. Its a debate whether she or BTS is bigger in Korea. IU has a new feature film coming out the end of the month and has started work on her 9th TV series so she probably did this gig for the publicity.

Also, it's hard to single out just a couple of lyrics when the entirety of Yoongi's lyricism is so damn poetic, but in People pt. 1 I always loved, "Who said that people were animals of wisdom? In my opinion, we're clearly animals of regret." And upon first listen of People pt. 2 it was the lyric, "They say life is a struggle between resistance and submission. I say it's a struggle against loneliness" that really cut through me.

I'm sure someone mentioned this already, but what's interesting in the lyricism is he's playing off of both the words 'people' and 'love' because they sound similar in Korean: 'saram' for people and 'sarang' for love. This song too was initially supposed to be named 'sara' to allow listeners to choose the last consonant for themselves. However, due to confusions that came with that title, he settled on 'saram' for people.
