The sinister intent in the theme reminds me of Sadamoto from the Kaito Files. Fitting since Oda's VA also plays that guy.
Damn this slaps hard
I like how it sounded very hype at the beginning but shifted into a much more menacing or malicious melody afterwards. I think in general this OST describes Oda and what he was willing to do for Tachibana in 0.

Man, the description in the video puts extremely well in words Oda's character.
The song also slaps and I could see it been the actual song for the fight.
I love the horror and menacing instrumentation used here! Makes me wish more Yakuza bosses had it. Also, fuck Oda, I will never understand Kiryu remembering him at the end of 0 when he's punching Shibusawa
Lao Gui, Hirose, Soma, Kuroiwa, Sadamoto have menacing themes.
Plus you can’t do it too much or else it will no longer stand out.
Kiryu remembers him at the end of 0 because he was also a result of the consequences in Shibusawa and Kazama's game of "live" chess. While Kiryu never liked Oda and still regarded him as an asshole years down the line, it doesn't change that Oda ended up being as much a victim as Tachibana in this game.
Because Oda redeemed himself in the end by using himself as a shield to let Kiryu and Makoto escape. He was an asshole, but the sacrifice in the end is what counted. His tonfa fighting style is also really cool.
the complete tone shift and piano around 1:18 give me a STRONG touhou vibe- i LOVE touhou music, so this is 100% a compliment

Funnily enough I thought Misery Comes On Beat fit Oda the most of all the characters it’s given to (because it sounds like the theme to an evil shit) but this is MUCH more fitting. I really like it!
It sounds so cold which I think is right on the mark with Oda. He only cared about one person but not even enough to do what was right for them if it compramised his standing.
Also, I interpret the title slightly different then you do (which is ridiculous, since you made the song, but eh). I see the house of cards in question as Oda's relationship with Tachibana rather than just Oda himself. He's so desperate to keep that house standing he'll do anything, but because of his own actions, it's doomed to fall no matter what.
I'd almost say it's tragic, but this is Oda we're talking about, so fuck em

Oda was a bit of a bro, until he wasn't. Definitely did his slimeyness justice with this track.
I genuinely wish we got to fight him in that abandoned carpark after he gets ratted out by Makoto, it would of been such an excellent place to put him and it would give the catharsis of giving this guy his just deserts.

after my first playthrough i kept having memories of fighting him in the car park even though it never happened for some reason

I kinda wish that there was another boss fight in 0 right before Oda dies, like he gets disarmed, but not stabbed, then Kiryu has to kick his ass, the kinda dangerous psycho vibes would be similar to like Kyoya or sm

Idk why , but glass breaking/shattering sound really fit with his true motive in the game itself , and hench his 'doings' breaks everything apart(including himself) after that event.

If he were a recurring boss, I could definitely imagine this being the music that plays during the final encounter with him, similar to Oath to Enma for Kuze or Destiny for Someya.

This is awesome! Reminds me a lot of the Kaito Files penultimate boss theme, but with a ton of unique flare to it. Fits the character perfectly

That was a direct consequence of Oda manipulating and selling her which lead to her being subjected to sexual (and likely also physical) abuse.
Also considering the Timeline of Makoto only being 20 in Yakuza 0, theres a very real chance she was still underaged when Oda tricked her.

I feel like people give Oda too much shit. He was very territorial and distrusting like an attack dog for Tachibana. He was an asshole for sure and his past doesn't paint him any better, but he really shown his true colors in the end when he redeemed himself by sacrificing his own life to let Kiryu and Makoto escape. The fact that he told Shibusawa to get bent more or less reaffirms his loyalties to Tachibana. He was an old jealous dog that feared to be replaced, but in the end done what is right.

Oda is a horrible human being with very little redeeming qualities. I don't sympathize.
Tho, I don't hate him as a character. You can't hate a bad person doing bad things and rightfully being punished for it, just how the story goes.
I do find him at the very least interesting and somewhat (and by somewhat I mean very little) nuanced, but you'll never catch me acting as his apologist.

0:05 I feel like if that last note holds off for just another measure it would add just that little bit of suspense that would be the cherry on top.

This reminds me of Viper (Lost Judgment) in how it gives me the creeps.
I kinda really like the lean-in to the same vibes as the second-last final battle from Kaito Files, as the villain is also voiced by Oda's actor.

Not only human trafficking, but considering Makoto's age in 0, she was most likely underaged while being trafficked. Not to mention hebis an all around scumbag, sure he had some dignity and honour by the end, but that doesn't change that he was a horrible person
