That cat pottery piece reminds me of the stories my mom used to tell me; how she and her sisters used to dress up their cat in baby clothes and make him their “baby”! I sold an entire 8 pc. set of Waechtersbach Christmas Tree Pottery with Veggie Bowl to a customer who had her dining room china hutch shelves collapsed and lost her whole set. I really didn't want to ship it so looked up where she lived, very near Ashville NC. We had been wanting to visit Asheville for years so made a delivery/pick up and stayed the weekend to enjoy the city. The sale pretty much paid for our trip. Lemoyne is such a treasure trove, love visiting when in PA. Another greast haul, enjoyed watching you & Dagnet on Kat's channel last night too.
I too have never seen those little German made trinkets. Very detailed and unique. I know at $40 they may not have been for retail but they were amazing

My daughter went to Goodwill the other day and found a piece of pottery. Tonight we were looking at it and we turned it over and seen a signature on the bottom of it. It was a piece by Lanier Meaders

Those Waechtersbagh Pottery pieces are beautiful. I have one piece, but it's not moving. No one seems very interested in it. It's a Pink Pitcher with a Pig design in the glaze. It holds 48 fl oz. I was so excited when I found it. I thought for sure it would have sold rather quickly. Maybe it's missing a set of cups? Not sure. 🤷♀️ Yours being Christmas and geese themed will sell quickly for sure.
RE Quimper - kim-pair is the correct French pronunciation. Kimpurr is "AMUR-CAN" pronunciation. (from retired French teacher)...use the French one, s'il vous plaît! Just for me... :-)

It was scratched from sliding across table or surface. Not cloudy.
