- Geometry Dash's biggest glitch has returned in 2.2, almost 9 years after it was patched.
My advice to you all - don't use this glitch to beat hard levels or gain tons of stats from it, it's just not worth it. It's very possible that you might get permanently leaderboard-banned, which would not be very fun :(

Update: This glitch has been fixed!!! As of Mobile update 2.205, this glitch no longer works. Doing this glitch shows a screen that says "LOAD FAILED" before it kicks you back to the level screen

I used it on all the demon map packs and haven’t gotten banned yet.
As long as you don’t use it on new or top levels, there’s not a lot the lb mods can use. And the anti cheat system is bugged in 2.2 for some reason.
Probably not a good idea to use it when 2.201 comes out for mobile.

@@aelzthegoat Well it’s too late anyways, and I don’t plan on using it anymore. I only used it on a few of the map packs I didn’t beat yet. I’m still beating demons and getting better legitimately.

This bug wouldn't have been an issue in 2.1 since there was an anti-cheat that would kick you out if you beat a rated level above 2 stars in less than 30 seconds. It got removed for some reason with the release of 2.2. I'm pretty sure it got added back for one of the bugfixes, but of course, mobile doesn't have it yet.
I think it was removed because of platformer, people beat chromaside in under 30s as an example
@@Prometheus_Alt Yeah I think that's most likely the reason. With how some platformers are built, it would be considered by the game to be less than 30 seconds in length, even if there's more than 30 seconds of gameplay.

thats dumb, rob couldve kept the anti cheat for normal levels but have it disabled for platformer levels

Update: At 2.2.13 patch, it was fixed by replacing the empty level with a single text object says "Load Failed" and kicks out of the level.

same, i don't even know why, i had accidently noclipped levels in the past but i always reverted my progress so idk, i did beat a demon that was updated to be empty before tho and that is still on my account but i am not the only one to do so but maybe beating levels when they are updated like that can get you banned idk
You can use this glitch on bad map pack levels or some garbage gauntlet levels, but don't beat demons with this glitch

I already did it with the garbage map packs. I didn't do it on the gauntlets tho because i think they deserve to be beaten genuinely

I had this glitch accidentally happen to me when I tried playing What (by Spu7nix) in 2.2. All I did was just play the level (I hadn't downloaded it before 2.2) and I was on PC. I don't know how it happened, and after trying to play the level again it worked like normal.

This glitch can happen on official levels too. I'm not sure on steps to reproduce but it happened when I went for a fingerdash practice clear. There appears to be multiple ways to trigger this, and at least one is easy enough to do completely by accident.

I used it on extreme demons not thinking it would work. I am really hoping megahack adds back uncomplete level.

Update fixed it and now if you try it you get an empty level with “load failed” text, then you get kicked out
I found another glitch, I was playing on pc, then i saved my data and then loaded it on my phone, after i did that i noticed that the path of metal had automatically been completed (i had gotten like 120 stars out of 1000)
I think it happened because i already had more than 1000 stars in total and when i loaded it on my phone the game thought that i had completed the path or something. Robtob really needs to fix this.
Tried it on a random low difficulty map pack out of pure curiosity, and it surprisingly worked and I quickly exited the level before I reached the end.
And no, I will not try it on a demon level because that is pretty much a death wish from the moderators.
Being leaderboard banned doesn't ban your account, it just makes it so you don't show up on leaderboards. If you are bad at the game like me then a leaderboard ban doesn't mean anything, and you can still grind orbs for 2.2 icons

I used this on lots of map packs cuz they are terrible to play
But I didn't use it on all map packs or any of the demon packs
I used the glitch before this video came out and I'm not leaderboard banned so hopefully that never happens

I used this glitch many times
But only because my game kept rolling back and uncompleting my completions. Sadly, I still had to rebeat all of the platformer and levels with coins to regain my stats
I have absolutely no idea what happened but in 2.1 (on what and ultra violence) this glitch happened where it was an empty level but instead of beating the level the second you hit the end screen you would be automatically quit out of the level. This probably happened because of the high object counts. Also, no matter what i did, that effect still stayed, even in 2.2, where somehow I accidentally beat ultra violence with it.
Correction: this does work on PC. I few days ago I accidentally beat a demon on my laptop using the glitch. Strangely, I had never actually opened the level prior to this, and when I opened it again, it was still empty. A few seconds later my game crashed, and I opened the level again. It was all back. I’m planning on beating it legit soon to make up for it.
I had a similar issue, I played WHAT but spu7nix and after that all levels became empty, then my game crashed and became normal again
I did it on some of the hardest demons, but I hope they do something to check the average attempt percentage so that can wave the demons that players beat using the glitch. I feel terrible because I thought I saw an old recording with bots in the comments

Idk if it still works but I know in 2.1 at least, if you load a bunch of levels, eventually the game will run out of ram to load them to or something and the same thing would happen. I accidentally beat an insane demon with that bug, and nearly beat a couple extremes lmao

one time my friend encountered a similar bug on pc and accidentally became the 40th victor of Limbo
this was within the first hour of 2.2 releasing so it's very popular that when he tried to download the level the servers sent him an empty level due to traffic, but it still says on his profile that he has one demon and that he has beaten the level

Ye it got patched. When you do it still works but it says ‘load failed!’ And kicks you out of the level
If I do this on the map pack levels I’ll definitely spend more then 10 attempts on them by doing them in practice and just not submit it to the leaderboards since some of the map pack levels don’t have very good gameplay anyway.
Umm. MORE INFO: I played and beat Coaster Mountain like 2 weeks ago, then went over to Castlemania and it did the glitch on its own… I played it and it was just sent to default. I was super confused. I closed out the game and it had a crash report. I logged in and Castlemania was counted. So there is some alternate way the glitch works I guess. My guess is object count cuz both levels I had just played have high object counts. I had no idea this glitch was a thing and do not condone it. I hope I don’t get banned for it accidentally being activated…
I am guilty of using this glitch on all the map pack levels except for the demons and kinda wish I didn’t because now I have fake stats that I didn’t work for

Map pack levels shouldn't exist in the first place you shouldn't regret it.
There's also a glitch on Limbo (some other levels idk) where if you play it, then go back, and then play it again, the level will be completely blank

I only used this on kappaclysm because I already beat it for the chaos gauntlet and I didn’t want to beat it again for the blade pack.
I know another one...If the level has too mamy objects u can just go in,leave and go in again immediately and now it will kick you at 99% or u beat that level...Oh yea i think the record gets deleted like the next time u relog but i am not sure about orbs and demon keys...
there's a speedhack glitch too, check information on it because it's hard to explain
I figured out this glitch through videos and the only thing I used it on is the map packs because those levels are hell on earth. I don’t condone using it elsewhere like gauntlets cause the levels are ACTUALLY good and are overall much better compared to the stupid map packs. The moderator thing is also so good and I’m happy we have that as, with what you said, top 1’s could be easily wiped. The only gripe I have with this video is the kids that won’t listen and get leaderboard banned. (Sucks to be them.) That’s all I really have to say.
Edit: I have beat demons legitimately before so I wasn’t doing this to try and get demon completions and only wanted the map pack and coin stuff.
This happened on my computer when I tried playing a demon one time. I have no idea what happened.
Long story short, I can’t reverse me completing levels when I want to, because I saved my account progress on my pc to hope when I load it on mobile it would go away, but it didn’t, I just combined both progresses into one account. So I can’t reverse beating it unless I restart everything
If you do it too much, the game breaks and you cannot play some levels

I abused this glitch to get the 25k stars ufo, I wasn’t abusing it for statistical gain or anything. I was at 4.9k stars when I started abusing the glitch, I feel really dirty using it but, seeing how far my dream star achievement was, I knew I had to abuse it! To all legitimate stargrinders out there, I’m sorry!!
They fixed it, if you do it now it says “Load failed!” And force exits the level
Dunno if it's a related glitch but some levels are just deleted whenever I try to open them without even deleting, but I also can't beat them, once I hit the wall it just kicks me out of the level

I was trying to learn penumbra by cherryteam but this glitch happened to me, now not having the new best every time is really annoying and i might just drop the level.
When the glitch is done correctly, it says "load failed" and kicks you out a second later
the glitch also works on steam with levels like WHAT that are extremely object heavy, but when it did do it for me my game just crashed

i have used this glitch exactly one time but it was just to complete a single map pack level i really just didn't feel like playing
It was also on 2.11 I think, it accidentally happened on WHAT when switching from normal detail to ldm and sometimes back to normal detail, but it sometimes just straight up crashes

I believe this is now PATCHED. I’m not exactly sure but I tried it on one of my levels that had one block in it. It says ‘Load Failed’ in the level, and proceeds to kick you out of the level.
Something similar happened to me on pc, I have no idea how it happened but i were playing limbo and the entire level was blank but the background was still changed (I immediately exited cuz I didn’t want a cheated completion)
For me this always triggered with the LDM on “What”. I refused to beat the level like that because that’s not fair thank you very much
I have a question: I used this glitch on like 100 demons not knowing how bad it is. So, If it were to uncomplete the demons I beat if it gets patched, will it delete the stars, orbs, coins, and any of my progress throughout the game besides the demons?
The only reason I personnally used this glitch was to get icons faster but I don’t do the glitch for demons because it is the only stat that really matters for me
i beat vsc, not with this glitch, but when it as hacked, making it a 5 second empty level, making me basically invincible.

I did this on ton 618 somehow, with like a somewhat game overload, because i opened limbo and my game crashed.
People hacking demons genuinely makes me sad. I mean, not only are they able to get basically infinite stars and make other peoples genuine leader board ranking go down, but theres no satisfaction in beating a hard level. Not only is it immoral, but it can render other peoples effort useless. Disgusting.

thought about using this glitch to "noclip" the levels i beat on a ldm/uldm copy but it doesn't work for me. the level does delete itself but it tells me load failed and kicks me out the level, very unfortunate

I did this glitch on 4 demons (one of which be bloodbath) before I realized you could get banned

there is also a glitch that lets you use time warp in any level (basically speed hack without hacks)

leadeboard ban means u lose your global rank (the number at the top left on your profile). You can still see the leaderboard though i think

Strange, I accidentally performed a glitch like this a while back on PC. I didn’t even do anything abnormal, I just opened the level and it was completely blank (the level was Kyouki). When I launched the level again, my game crashed
I completed over 100 demons and some map packs with this. I don’t regret the map packs, but I do with the demons. The hardest level I did this glitch with was Silent Clubstep

This is the first time I have ever heard of this glitch, so Ofcourse I had to try it for myself, and it worked. So I beat 2 easy demons and went away because this is *DANGEROUS*
The glitch doesn't matter really since as you said you will get leaderboard banned so its just like using noclip so it lettearly doesn't matter

Yeah I used it on mobile to finish off some of the insane rated map packs. Genuinely just couldn’t sit down to beat them legit. Now that I have the map packs done I’m not gonna continue with the glitch as my account was completely legit until that point and want to continue that. I can’t blame anyone else using the glitch for map pack levels but anything else should be legit
