Finally I have found a cognitive neuroscientist..... early started watching your videos.. . I would like to pursue my PhD on cognitive or neuropsychology

Thanks Paul for your great knowledge. I am a software engineer, we design systems for specific task, we upgrade our code when the goal changes and fix bugs when it goes wrong, this is kind like evolution but not that bloody. We engineers just can't stop comparing the computer with human brain and neuro system, I have a general question for you as a great neuro scientist, for the morden age, do you think the human neuro system still amazing or sucks. Considering about kids can be easily atrracted by an ipad from books, young guys are so easily been addicted by drugs or stupid apps, our learning system and attention schedualling are based on dopamine rewarding system seems the core problem, even for me. Now artificial general intelligence can not beat a 3 years old kid, but it will. A human level AI with artificial "psychology" will just beat us. Do not get me wrong, I am not an antisocialist, the more I know about neuro science, human conciousness, psychology, I see more bugs or even fundamental design problem in perspective of computational brain.

Hippocampus: storage and retrieval of memories
Semantic memory: episodic memory for which hippocampus activation is not necessary anymore for retrieval but rather the perirhinal cortex.
End of video: Procedural memory and priming circuits are unidirectional. That might be the reason why they're unconscious.
