@@hiufernando7340 Japanese labels and their management teams seem to be very slow and or incapable of really capitalizing on their artists' growing followings in general - especially internationally. In this day and age of "female empowerment" and supremely talented all-girl bands like this are only managing commercial footnotes? No excuse for that really. BABYMETAL may be the biggest name, but even their management has stumbled and fumbled their handling of that band several times over. It's been well over half a decade of this J-Rock/Metal movement of great talent and great songs, where not only the musicianship and vocal talent is there, but the songs are also as pleasing to even the most casual ear as they are inspired and the whole thing is still playing a distant 2nd to K-Pop internationally. Nothing against people that like K-Pop or anything, but IMO it's nowhere near as mind-blowing as what's been coming out of Japan for a good long while now.

It’s the most straightforward song of the EP. they have their most thrash song written by Asami (!) named Paranoia, their most prog song to date written by Miyako named Dystopia Symphony, a great last minute song named No Time to Hesitate and of course the song they have written for the Vlad Love anime Winds of Transylvania. That was a really great analysis, or reaction, or whatever you want to call it. Yeah, they're astonishingly good, and this song in particular really does leave you a bit shellshocked. You're right, it just builds and builds and builds and you get lost in the rush and the epicness of it all. I would've pegged it as a Miyako composition because she's the one who composes music from a classical perspective and comes up with these sorts of tracks all the time, so it was a bit surprising when I found out Midori's actually the musical mastermind in this case. If this is indicative of the quality of her songwriting, I really hope she makes it a habit because this is brilliant.

LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics:
Everything around us will fall into dark
When you keep on looking into the sadness
Nobody in this world may ever be free
My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath
But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light in this world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings
A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow
A blur in the future, the fear of unknown
There will come a time where we can leave everything behind
Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky
Together we will make it through this deep night
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together,
    Nothing more precious

They are truly worldwide now. Victor records did this vid, respresents them in Japan(Asia?). JPU records has long represented them in the UK (US? Hi! I'm still a bit indecisive regarding this song, to be honest. Yes, it unites all the elements which make Lovebites' sound quite outstanding, but ... it's a bit over-elaborate, too, isn't it? Maybe Lovebites' members wanted to go on on the path they pursued with the anime song (Winds of Transsylvania)? Anyway, the song isn't bad, but a bit too much for my simple taste!
If I may give you an advice: please go back to a band you reviewed yet once while wondering about the proposal you had received - that wasn't aiming at the latest release of this band. Being aware of that, you promised to return to the latter and review it, too. Well, not literally, maybe, but something of the kind ...
The song I'm talking of is very epic, as Glory to the World by Lovebites is, too, and the band, that plays it, is an all-female band from Japan, a striking similarity to Lovebites, again.
In every other respect, however, that song constitutes the direct opposite of Glory to the World. The song of course is 'The Sky Pirates' by Fate Gear, a rather simply structured piece of music, a bit old fashioned as well, sincere and plain, with an unmistakeable shanty attitude. It took quite a long time until I recognized and appreciated what a fine tune it is, with it's beautifully composed melodies, the powerful arrangement, its intentional simplicity. So the sound is sructured very well around the strong vocalist, Nana, and their guest musician Jill with her violin (from Unlucky Morpheus of course).
And the fact that this song meanwhile garnered more than a million views in less than half a year offers an excellent occasion for a critique, doesn't it? (Be sure that this is very much for any non-Visual Kei japanese metal band, all-female or not).
It should be mentioned, too, that Fate Gear works as a truly independent band, without being backed (and strangled) by a powerful player in the music business. This attitude alone is an irrefutable reason to hold Fate Gear in high esteem and to make them very likeable (They even use crowd funding to finance their international tours).
[FATE GEAR - The Sky Pirates - ruclips.net/video/lOznerNYkyo/видео.html]
(Please don't mind my slightly ironic tone - if it is discernible at all? Maybe I should rather apologise for all the mistakes I made - I'm aware that I can't hide the fact that English isn't my mother tongue, haha ...)
By the way, and quite a bit off topic, did I mention yet that N e m o p h i l a has done some very precious covers of bands like Iron Maiden (The Trooper), AC/DC (Whole Lotta Rosie), Helloween (I want out) and more of the kind. All for sure worth to be listened to!

It took a few watches but I finally caught on that the guy in the video is portraying Jesus. Note the holes in his forhead from the thorn crown and the nail holes appear in the palm of his hand. Reading the lyrics I get that the song is about having Jesus by your side as you go through life and finding comfort in it. That is just what I got out of it and could be totally wrong. All the tracks on the new EP are great but there's one called "Paranoia" that is so epically heavy, I nearly started a mosh pit in the middle of Tescos.

It's simple enough song, made with impeccable detail... I'm not sure if it's their best songs, maybe too Dragonforce'y for my liking... :D

Good reaction. For your next Lovebites reaction, please do "Winds of Transylvania" which is a music video of the theme song they created for the Vladlove anime series. ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html

I think the chorus is a bit too cheesy, even for power metal standards. And I also don't like the Jesus bit. Like King of the Hill said: "You're not making Christianity better, you're making Rock'n'Roll worse". But the instrumental parts are still awesome, no doubt. I just hope that this is just a bit of fantasy roleplay for them, since they're Japanese and Japan is usually quite non religious.
