He's definitely grown in confidence. I'm working on a short comparing "early Jimin" and "Who Jimin". It's cute so far, if I just get the time to finish it. And I think I've found the right early footage where I can do the same with other guys as well in comparing them around 2014 & their recent solo work. Because it's a one shot video (no cuts in between) everything needs to be well rehearsed and planned. Respect! So funny you mentioned "where did the fellas come from?" When I watched this the first time, I was so distracted by the backup dancers suddenly appearing and disappearing. I kept picturing them crowded together as a group trying to stay behind the cameraman as he turns around Jimin. I suppose some of that may have happened but if I remember correctly there are sliding panels on the wall that have spaces behind them. I've seen them open in other practice videos. So, it's possible they are popping in and out of those spaces. edit - I just finished watching your reaction and I think I saw a crack of light in the wall right during the last pan of the camera around Jimin. So, I went back to the original video and watched the walls really closely. There are a lot of seams in those walls. LOL
You need to watch Save Me and the behind the scenes of that vid to see just how hard the camera folk and boys/ dancers work to make these shots as clean as they do. Folk be running to be off screen!
Yes, they're running off screen. Their video for "Save Me" is a one-shot video and the have a making of video for it. You can see just how much they scramble to get in and out of frame in that making of video.

Yeah I love that one. They are so good with each other. JHope has all the great ideas. JungKookie has positivity and good natured to go along... and Chim Chim is the perfectionist. It's always so funny that they know Jimin's (1 more) so well.... Jimin always wants to do everything 1 more time. He reminds me of the lead from our jazz band... Whenever we'd rehearse we might be so hyped and happy because we thought it was good... but we'd ALWAYS look over at him (he played sax... my own Namjoon)... and we could tell immediately from the look on his face and there would be a chorus of the 12 of us sighing and then a pepped up chant....... "Onnnnnnne more time!"..... But hey.... It's what made us so dang good too. I miss those days.
The dance practices are the best. They showcase how hard they work to show us the best version of them. The talk shows and award shows are produced by corporate networks and they are always a pain. But some of the record labels are also a pain. Big Hit (Hybe) has always been the most generous of all of them as far as letting creators use footage. It's smart too because they get a lot free promotion that way. Luckily we are blessed that Hybe/BigHit has so much that the guys have created on their own since before day 1. They only thing they get a little picky about is if you use stuff from the paid content like their vacation series (Bon Voyage and In the Soop) ... but even then if it's edited right and broken up it often gets through.

Okay, in order... 1 - MOST talk show (and award show) performances are blocked. Sad, but what can ya do? (other than go on Twitch for those *AHEM* LOL) 2 - I think you could do the choreo. With a dance background already, this one's easy. I ALMOST have it down on roller skates already! (Those spins are wicked, though...been trying to free spin, but a toe stop spin is much easier.) 3 - Yes, we like the subtle movements, too...but sometimes (Baepsae) the...uhh...harder...ones are...umm...perfect, too? 4 - They (and their back-up dancers) are masters at the "disappearing act". You see them, camera pans, they're gone, camera pans, they're back...we don't even question it any more, just roll with it. 5 - Can't wait for the next Live!!! Hopefully I can get a stable connection this time around. Last time I had to re-load 3 or 4 times. Not you....or RUclips, just my crappy internet provider (the ONLY one in my area).
