If this physics theory worked, it would have to be billions of years in the past, and it would be an extremely dark red, or maybe not even within the visible spectrum. At the end of the day, it’s just a video game - it’s the people that make D2 a community. Cross does such a great job of keeping us interested in the game and is always giving us a reason and to jump in and play with clan members, LFGs and blueberries. Glad things worked out.

There’s a LOT of lore in the game that I have never read but this was different and the most interesting one. I specifically took time to read it and was left speechless. This surely is my new fav raid in D2.
at 1:09:21 the S from Mylen Games perfectly matches the S from Sealed. Thought that was funny also the comparison to the three darkness subclasses was GENIUS
So a bit of theorycrafting here, but I think I have an idea. At 17:45, we get a mention of Rhulk's comment in the raid saying "The Upended. A triumvirate. Opportunity. Preservation. Salvation. It will serve the deserving and crush the defiant." When Myelin quotes this, he talks about the comparisons between the three words and aspects of Destiny as a whole, where Traveler -> Opportunity and The Witness -> Salvation. However, we don't get a third answer for Preservation. My theory is that the Light and Darkness represent Preservation. As we know, the Ghosts are created from the Traveler that are imbued with the Light, which are capable of making their Guardian eternal so long as the Ghost is functional. However, with the Witch Queen expansion, we see that the Darkness is able to store memories of the environment around oneself, including interactive objects. These are forms of preservation, both fulfilling what is essentially each other's shortcomings. The Light maintains the body, but leaves behind the mind. The Darkness cocoons the mind, but discards the body. This also fits with the narrative of the three aspects of Destiny listed. The Traveler and The Witness are always to be at odds with each other. Yet there must be something in between. Something that is linked to the two, yet not one and the same. And with the Vow of the Disciple raid, we figure out that the Light and Dark are not always aligned with their creator's plans. Even so, I feel like there could be more evidence to draw these comparisons.

So Art Station is definitely trying to insinuate that the darkness branching is synonymous with the nervous system in some way. i think what truly makes Rhulk and VOD great is that Bungie essentially sacrificed this guy for our enjoyment. I mean that in the best way possible. We learn about him. How incredible of a threat he is. Then we get to actually fight him. That is just soo cool. we dont have to wait years. We dont have to fight "minion of rhulk etc" in the raid. It's him. Thought maybe the 3 emblems on the right side of the mural could imply the three aspects Rhulk mentions in the raid (Opportunity, Preservation, Salvation), which relate to three powers of the Dark, possibly held by three beings. The Witness refers to themselves as “we” in most of the dialogue and lore and is also called “the Formless One” by other people, which could mean that the three aspects are different pieces of The Witness as a whole when they take on different shapes. We know that the Witness has come to us as Salvation at the end of Shadowkeep’s campaign and into Beyond Light’s main campaign (and the raid in the Black Garden was called Garden of Salvation), and that Salvation is in reference to Stasis (think Salvation’s Grip). So yeah, the other two Darkness subclass powers are probably related to other versions of the Witness, or other beings under the Darkness’s banner who represent Preservation and Opportunity. An aside here; there are some characters in the game that we have practically zero lore on besides a name, and the idea that they’re either very old or very powerful. I’d like to propose the possibility of Nezarec, Otzot, or Skira, The Watcher.
