দুর্নীতি রোধে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের নেয়া পদক্ষেপকে সমর্থন করে পেন্টাগন। এ কথা জানিয়েছেন মার্কিন প্রতিরক্ষা দপ্তর পেন্টাগনের মুখপাত্র মেজর জেনারেল প্যাট রাইডার। সাবেক সেনাপ্রধান জেনারেল আজিজের বিরুদ্ধে নিষেধাজ্ঞা প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, গণতান্ত্রিক প্রতিষ্ঠান ও আইনের শাসনের প্রতি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের যে প্রতিশ্রুতি রয়েছে তা পুনঃনিশ্চিত করেছে এই নিষেধাজ্ঞা।
Pentagon supports the steps taken by the Bangladesh government to prevent corruption. This was stated by Major General Pat Ryder, the spokesman of the Pentagon of the US Department of Defense. Regarding the sanctions against former army chief General Aziz, he said, the sanctions reaffirmed the commitment of the United States to democratic institutions and the rule of law.
