This channel probably has the best of the Touhou metal remixes out there simply because they're actually attemptin to sound like metal. They have awesome guitar focused melodies and crunchy riffs, rather than just having a single guitar track meekly whimpering in the background behind a piano or the original track like so many other "metal" remixes people make for the series. Spot on.
i never realized that Flowering Night sounds so much like The Trooper xi-on, UI-70 and IOSYS' minami delivered imho the best albums of recent Touhou Metal
Thank you chaos, for having the same passion for instrumental music that I have. People who are into pure intrumental songs are getting fewer and fewer, and it is good to have someone on a high leading position of music, still having his heart beloning to instrumental and dosn't change just because the crowd changed. There are always some people who will always love instrumental and people like you make it easier for us to live our lives :
I have decided that whatever the direction(towards vocals) Touhou metal makes, the old hits will still be good and hopefully good new instrumental pieces will appear from time to time. But the fact is that the sort of vocals that CROW'SCLAW now has sells more CDs. Purely instrumental metal is pretty niche, and people need to make a living. So they risk one or two albums with something different. And I approve of that variety. Buy more of the instrumental metal CDs if you want to change things.
I sure damn hope that Demetori stays instrumental for their next release. They haven't done anything since Comiket 77 (back at the end of December of 2009), so they're definitely taking their time with their next album. Comiket 81 had better not disappoint us
Vinícius Evangelista someone has made a slightly altered version that sounds more metal, this is the original which is more rock but regardless I love them both
I raged a bit when C&C was mentioned; I stopped liking Flowering Night after I heard their arrange a year or two ago. But then I read the rest of the video comment, and I was happy because I knew somebody agreed with me that TH music has taken a turn for the worse. As for Hanaya, a bit disappointed that he did something generic again, but I suppose it's better than sticking vocals in everything. Thanks for the upload, and I hope you stick to your original philosophy on subscriptions and views.
well, im into more touhou metal vocals, and something I've been noticing since c79 is that most of the arranges are almost impossible to determine from witch song the originally come, as if there are circles trying to get into fame by calling their albums "touhou arranges" but about this album, I really liked it, in especial its border of life (invitation to death) and its necrofantasy (ephemeral mirage)
I don't mind all vocals but I am terribly particular about them, and so the trends have been bugging me a bit as well. Still, the good news is that vocalists seem to be getting better...
Well... Can't disagree with your observation, Chaos. There's a very clear contrast that makes you wonder when everything got thrown over. Some of the newer releases are among my favorites, though most of it feels... Meh. For what it's worth, I agree you should stick to what you do like, even if that means falling behind on the newest trends. There's likely to be someone uploading the new ones anyway, this channel should remain for those with about the same taste as you. ^^ (Humble opinion)
@Nyansauce Taka did vocals again? Goddamnit he's going all vocal isn't he? There goes one of my favorite artists, joining Yuki in mediocrity by replacing his guitar with some chick. I don't get why so many of the great Touhou arrangers just HAVE to have a vocal album. There is enough vocal. The entire industry is vocal. One of the reasons most of my library is BGM arrangements is because nobody else does any damn instrumentals anymore, and now they're jumping ship too.
Chaos, I have another song that is exactly the same, only this song is crisper in terms of production and sound, with some twists in melody. Do you happen to know if this song has been rearranged multiple times? The title does say "Redefined Vision" after all...I might post that song since I can't find it elsewhere on youtube.
That's an awesome song as well as an awesome picture. If the picture is from pixiv, could you please link to the person who made it? I'd love to see more of that person's creations.
i dnt take it personal i just love flowering night the most after that comes kein theme. i rather think that uwen was here guase that thme fits flandre perfectly
@BlazinShin It was, but unfortunately it wasn't metal. As for Icarus Cry....that one album is the perfect example of just featuring 5 seconds of the original song and claiming your album is an arrange touhou album. Still..Yuki is the same old bastard that was before, playing like a god. I still want to marry him.
Would you happen to have a twitter I can follow? Just because we had a short chat back when your account was suspended and it'd be nice to talk to you again. @Kawzuk
I have to agree. C80 was a complete disappointment (Demetori had to cancel due to distribution problems, CROW'SCLAW's EP had vocals), but it had its moments (xi-on and IRON ATTACK! for starters). Still, having vocals isn't necessarily bad, but that's only if the vocals manage to work like Rokugen Alice and to a lesser extent, Unlucky Morpheus and Liz Triangle. Like you, I would much prefer Touhou metal as instrumental.

minusT brought me here!
Every single time I come across the song in my playlist, I will stop whatever I am doing to hit the repeat button. Best find I've had in years.
I love this album. It's one of the few albums where I like all the tracks. The album art if Lightning Mirage in itself looks cool.
Oh yes, YES!!! Everything about this arrange is what I want. I can certainly work with this on ^^
God damn, this song gets me so pumped
I feel like i can take on the world!
Best damn Flowering Night arrange ever made.
you know what they say cant have a maid without some rock music
Sakuya is an Iron MAIDen. Huehuehue
...And this is why I love you.
JESUS CHRIST HOW MAGNIFICENT

Banger music

As always: awesome.
Sounds like what would be her theme if she were in blazblue.
Fujiwara no Mokou And Gulty Gear
I'm just waiting if Touhou would have another fighting game or a crossover fighting game just like Cross Tag Battle
@@abbyysnet lets hope lol
@@abbyysnet pls, AoCF, ULiL, HM, INL, SWR, IaMP
Lmao
If by any chance you guys decide to cover this song. Don't doubt on posting it as a response, that is if you wish of course.
Sakuya and flowering night = this madness!!
Strange... I heard Refined Vision before on someone else's playlist and it was slightly more awesome.
Vinícius Evangelista someone has made a slightly altered version that sounds more metal, this is the original which is more rock but regardless I love them both
awesome

Flowering Night? You mean The Trooper by Iron Maiden?
key bear Dammit. Now I hear it a little now.
@ChaosAngel209 oh yea, it might not specifically be METAL but it's still refreshing after all those vocal albums wouldn't you agree
My ears came....
I don't mind all vocals but I am terribly particular about them, and so the trends have been bugging me a bit as well. Still, the good news is that vocalists seem to be getting better...
That song reminds me of Sakuya's appearance in the video Humans vs Yukari Yakumo by MinusT
Izayama is one of the best characters in the whole touhou for me...
Lol later I found her name is acyually Izaya sorry XD
Vanko Ivelinov *Izayoi
I can hear the rulers from here.
I cannot comprehend the description.
oh damn.
it gooes soo dam fast!! sakuya just use her time stop powers on me!!
pad yeah!!!
This song some how makes me Wanna play Elsword and just step around and around XD
I wonder what will happen with her if somebody had the power to break those chains ?

Iron Maid

This could use some Bruce Dickinson.
I see what you did there...
+Red Saltire yeah much iron, such maiden
Come on, Unlucky Morpheus Comiket 80 is godlike. Instrumental one too =D
Sakuya gonna shoot her first danmaku
And just as a foot note, the new youtube playlist system is absolutely dreadful.
ChaosAngel It hasn't gotten much better, even six years later.

Why did the beginning remind me of the Persona 4 TV world theme?
The picture is awesome!! Were can i find it?
Hi

i dnt take it personal i just love flowering night the most after that comes kein theme.

@kaolla2404 Go to the image database, Danbooru, and in the search bar input "ID:866352"

Any link to the picture? P:
another sakuya remix another sapped sentry
All this needs to be DnB is some harder, deeper, more prominent drums.
@TotalDominance You have heard "Cavalrymaid" by IRON ATTACK!, right? Actually, let me get to the point... /watch?v=iIIfJHEHJ0M
not my favorite rendition of it, but it is acceptable.
If this song goes live, it would be great...
Anyway, vocal is not that s*ck I think.
