It's alllllllllmost Christmas! We are so excited...the boys can hardly contain themselves! Wanted to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas & keep an eye out for our Christmas cards in the mail. They're going to be late, but they're a comin'! Thanks for hanging out with us for another video!😘 P.S. A couple notes from recent comments: 1) The loft will still get heat even with the walls as the boys bdrm door will be open all throughout the day. But we have purchased a small propane heater for our new bdrm addition just in case we don’t get as much heat from the vent we installed. 2) 87% of cats that get neutered stop spraying. For Rusty’s sake, I hope he’s in that 87% or else he will be rehomed. I will not tolerate cat spray in my house, that’s where I draw the line. Call me mean, don’t care lol. It’s disgusting & I won’t have my furniture & things destroyed by a cat.🤷🏼♀️😘

Hi Tina, Have you thought about Joe teaching Parker math? It seems that Joe Knows so much about math in the projects that he does. Maybe it would be easier for Parker to understand from Joe's point of view. 😊
Tina- it’s so great that Parker is being taught to stick to it and struggle through the difficult subjects. He is learning grit and persistence and that he CAN learn things even when they are hard. This is a mindset I see lacking in so many of my students. (6th grade teacher) productive struggle is so valuable!! Well done!!!

In regards to the situation with math with Parker, I totally get his frustration and your reasoning on why they have to learn certain things that he will never use at all. But one thing I’ve discovered is the great thing about math and situations like that is, it’s teaching him a greater skill, it is teaching him critical thinking, and problem-solving Strategy, that will carry with him the rest of his life so it’s actually developing a greater life long skill than just learning the actual stuff he is learning …..the greater benefit is it will teach Parker how to persevere and problem solve, which will assist and help him in life with so many problems he will face! 😊

My wife and I are 80 years old, I watch all the videos on couples, etc, living off grid, building log cabins etc that I can find. If I was 50 years younger I would be doing the same. We have 160 acres of mostly woodland in Nova Scotia, Canada. I do have a hunting camp there but I am all but finished with that as well. I hate the snow, right now we do not have any and we will be having a green Christmas. We had 6-8" a week or so ago but it got rained off, thankfully!! I've probably talked to much already!! If Joe didn’t enjoy putting up videos of our family, he wouldn’t do it. Just because he’s not talkative like some other “husband RUclipsrs” doesn’t mean he’s not happy. He happily helps me plan each weeks video and since moving to Alaska even helps me film content for the videos. A lot of the shots of Joe working, cutting down trees etc., is all him…he set up the camera, filmed it and everything. He loves being a part of our channel or else he wouldn’t be doing it. He’s just always been a bit camera shy. Hoping to get up to our remote cabin around Feb or March! Happy holidays.😘

We use the online program Teaching Textbooks for math. It is very straightforward and also how I remember learning how to do math when I was in school. We have been using it since my youngest was in fifth grade, he is now in ninth grade and still loves it! And, if you need to repeat a lesson so he understands it, it's no big deal. It's easier to build a house with a solid foundation, math is the same way. You can't move on until you have a good understanding. 😊 Prayers to you and your family.

Making Christmas cookies was my children and I's tradition. Also easter we would color and decorate eggs too.This sure brings back wonderful memories. I am retired now they are all grown making memories.We had a nice time at Christmas this year to.

Such wondrrful days at your cabin,you have the best of both worlds, being free to live and just in case make a trip to Anchorage.its a very long drive,but lots to see when your there! The vet, soon both boys will be happy to just be. My poorkitty has been in heat for four months yowling, taken her husband shopping ,but she's never been outside. Also my mother cat Kitty was loving of course, very evening when I went for my walk she would follow me, that was an interesting experience because all the dogs in my neighbourhood would start barking like crazy 🤪..😅 oh those were the days
Thinking of you and hoping everything gets easier soon with Rusty. I rescued a kitten a few years ago that I thought was a girl. He ended up being a little boy. I was so afraid of having to deal with spraying. It never happened but we all love our animals and I pray things get better for you. I’m so angry that it all began with a terrible act of hate. Tina, I LOVED your rant! Sometimes the craziness with these animal that we love is just so much! Yet, we wouldn’t trade them, or live without them no matter what. I often think about what city people with no animals must think about my crazy life! What do people who don’t live this craziness do with their time? It baffles me! You must have got writers cramp addressing them all! I loved the end where you were singing and the dogs were helping you! Hope the boys enjoy their gifts, Christmas is for the kids, believe me as we have been without our two boys now for years and just not the same without them, enjoy them while you can. I feel really bad that Joe does not seem to enjoy that you are sharing your family life with all us watchers. My wife and I are 80 years old, I watch all the videos on couples, etc, living off grid, building log cabins etc that I can find. If I was 50 years younger I would be doing the same. We have 160 acres of mostly woodland in Nova Scotia, Canada. I do have a hunting camp there but I am all but finished with that as well. I hate the snow, right now we do not have any and we will be having a green Christmas. We had 6-8" a week or so ago but it got rained off, thankfully!! I've probably talked to much already!! Have a good Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Will u be getting to your cabin this winter??? Looking forward to your videos always.
If Joe didn’t enjoy putting up videos of our family, he wouldn’t do it. Just because he’s not talkative like some other “husband RUclipsrs” doesn’t mean he’s not happy. He happily helps me plan each weeks video and since moving to Alaska even helps me film content for the videos. A lot of the shots of Joe working, cutting down trees etc., is all him…he set up the camera, filmed it and everything. He loves being a part of our channel or else he wouldn’t be doing it. He’s just always been a bit camera shy. Hoping to get up to our remote cabin around Feb or March! Happy holidays.😘

We use the online program Teaching Textbooks for math. It is very straightforward and also how I remember learning how to do math when I was in school. We have been using it since my youngest was in fifth grade, he is now in ninth grade and still loves it! And, if you need to repeat a lesson so he understands it, it's no big deal. It's easier to build a house with a solid foundation, math is the same way. You can't move on until you have a good understanding. 😊 Prayers to you and your family.

Making Christmas cookies was my children and I's tradition. Also easter we would color and decorate eggs too.This sure brings back wonderful memories. I am retired now they are all grown making memories.We had a nice time at Christmas this year to.

Such wondrrful days at your cabin,you have the best of both worlds, being free to live and just in case make a trip to Anchorage.its a very long drive,but lots to see when your there! The vet, soon both boys will be happy to just be. My poorkitty has been in heat for four months yowling, taken her husband shopping ,but she's never been outside. Also my mother cat Kitty was loving of course, very evening when I went for my walk she would follow me, that was an interesting experience because all the dogs in my neighbourhood would start barking like crazy 🤪..😅 oh those were the days
Thinking of you and hoping everything gets easier soon with Rusty. I rescued a kitten a few years ago that I thought was a girl. He ended up being a little boy. I was so afraid of having to deal with spraying. It never happened but we all love our animals and I pray things get better for you. I’m so angry that it all began with a terrible act of hate.
