Believe it or not, I was in Disney World for my 65th birthday and had dinner in Cinderella's Royal Table. My sister and I went to celebrate my birthday and retirement and what a great time we had. Of course, there were many families with children who had birthdays and it became a fun time when they realized that I was also celebrating a birthday. I got the free photo with Cinder and since we went on a package deal, it was one of the restaurants on the list and I had been to Disney many times, but never in there. I got treated just the same as all the children with birthdays. I got a magic wand, a birthday card signed by the Princesses, special cupcake, and pictures with the Princesses. Food was good but the atmosphere for me was special. We had a window table, so we had a view.

My family ate at The Castle during our stay. It was dinner and was dark out. The fireworks started and I thought I was in the middle of Baghdad during the war. Was really neat!

I took my granddaughter to celebrate her 9th. birthday at Cinderella’s castle. We were there for dinner and had the filet minions. The decor was beautiful and we were the first to dine there after they had redecorated. We were able to to meet all of the. princesses and I bought Natalie a birthday cake and a crystal crown. The cake was a beautiful 2 tier white cake with blue roses and was so yummy. They packaged the remaining cake for us to take with us. We were seated near a window and had great food and service. It was expensive, but worth it to eat at the castle. I personally have waited since I was a little girl to go into the castle...yes, I would go again...it brings you back to your childhood.

I hear alot of people say they don't like the rose room bc its not from the movie. I love it bc I see it as insight into their lives. Behind the scene photos. You could call it the family room with all thr moments that mean something to them. So its magical in a different way.

My son and I love Be our Guest for breakfast. We think the food is good and the way it is themed is so cool. Also if you go early before the park opens then you can get some pretty cool pictures of the castle with hardly anyone arou nd.

Cost and effort to get reservations, mostly. I really enjoyed all 3 meals and everything about Be Our Guest. At Cinderella's Royal Table I thought the food was trash and the only reason to go is to meet all the princesses. Disappointingly they don't have Photo Pass photographers with any of the princesses other than Cinderella. I think that's standard for character meals where the character's walk around from table to table but I still don't like it.

Just do lunch at BOG. The rest of the meals at BOG are waaayyyyy overpriced. Cinderellas is just awful. The food is worse than quick service for all meals. If you have a little princess in your life, bring her to the meet and greets and forget the restaurant exists.

We ate at both. Loved the experience at both. Prefer the food at BOG. I didn't care for the main course at Cinderella's Castle, but the dessert was amazing! Had breakfast at BOG but I didn't care for everything about it. Most of what I ordered wasn't bad.

As a grandparent, I would say if any adult or child loves Beauty and the Beast, you have to do dinner at Be Our Guest at least once. When the Beast walked through the dining room and was announced, my girlfriend started crying. The decor is like no other and needs to be experienced. I do agree with the rating of the food here, AJ. Now if you have children who love the Princesses, Cinderella’s Royal Table is also a must-do for the ambiance and characters. Seems Disney knows what they have at both places and the food will always be just ‘o.k.’ when everyone keeps booking them.

Be Our Guest prices have changed, $60 fixed rate for dinner $28 for breakfast (adults) and lunch is a la carte but more affordable. Be our guest is more likely to have a reservation and the food is better, lunch being my favorite. Definitely worth it

Fun story, I think you will enjoy. For my 6th birthday (Feb 2002) my parents got us booked for breakfast at Cinderellas castle. They got someone from the front desk of our hotel (beach club) to deliver an invitation from Cinderella and bought me a Cinderella gown, glass slippers, a crown, and scepter. Looking back it was amazing but as a 6 year old I looked at the outfit and throw it on the bed and said "Baby clothes" I spent the whole breakfast pouting and being miserable. It is still one of the funniest stories my mom tells and I always feel so bad.

Having eaten many times at both restaurants, I can honestly say that this assessment is, for the most part, correct. However, I would like to mention that the last time I ate at Cinderella’s the meal turned out to be the best one we had out of 17 table service restaurants throughout the parks-including Be Our Guest which came in 12th. So you never know.
As for the kids, they seemed to enjoy Cinderella’s much more then Be
    Our
Guest. Although, that may have had something to do with the fact that we were in the ballroom which, despite its beauty, is crowded and loud. It reminds me somewhat of a fancy cafeteria.

You know, Brent, I do think kids might like Cinderella's better for sure. The characters, the bright atmosphere...it would be more compelling than Be Our Guest where many kids might not really understand what's going on.

I think the theming for Be Our Guest was better than Cinderella’s Royal Table, however it is a very unique experience to dine in Cinderella Castle. I think the food at Be Our Guest was far superior. I’m somewhat of a picky eater and don’t usually eat very much so I had a little trouble choosing at Cinderella’s Royal Table. But I loved the Be Our Guest food, I had a croque madame, a ham and cheese sandwich, but it was better than one that I’ve had at a real French bistro. Granted, I ate breakfast at Be Our Guest, but nonetheless it was better. And they have the grey stuff! And the food cost far less, which is important when you don’t have the Disney Dining Plan. Characters don’t really matter to me, so I will go to Be Our Guest, but if you have a kid that wants to meet the princesses , then definitely go to Cinderella’s Royal Table, and then you won’t have to wait in the lines to meet the princesses.

Did both CRT and Akershus during our 2015 visit. Both neat experiences. Food/characters equal. Can't beat eating in the castle. Gonna try to get in BOG and 1900 Park Fare next.

Breakfast at BOG is a good use of a Quick Service Meal if you are trying to beat the crowd before the park opens and you also get a really empty shots around the castle. Just make sure you book on a day that doesn't have Extra Magic Hours in the morning.

If you are looking for more atmosphere or even romance I would ask for the West Wing at Be Our Guest. You may have to wait a little more than your reservation (although we didn't have to), but it is well worth it. Much more intimate. The service was impeccable.
And I have disagree with AJ and some reviewers about the food. I had a really good meal there. Mickey had the steak (perfectly cooked) and I had soup and the seafood pasta dish. Both were delicious. Can't miss the grey stuff. Because it was our first time they brought us out a little sample for free. Such a nice touch.

Great video. Unless I missed it, one unmentioned pro for Be Our Guest is that it is the only place in the Magic Kingdom to serve alcohol. So if you want wine with your "authentic" French boeuf bourguignon, you have to go with BOG.

That's changed now. You can get booze at Skipper's Canteen and when I was there last month they said that all of the table service dinners now served booze. I don't know if I'll take that skipper at his word but it's served at more than Be Our Guest now which surprised me.

I have to say we went for breakfast at BW Our Guest and it was easily my favorite breakfast option for our whole trip. For the cost out of pocket or the QS credit and the amount of food (lots of options and not too much heavy food). I can’t recommend it enough for those reasons alone! I had a Filet Steak dinner at both locations. I certainly met lots of Princesses at Cinderella’s Table, but my meal was pretty, very nice looking, but tasted definitely lackluster compared to my dinner at Be Our Guest! I got another clutch of Princesses at Akershus in the Norway Pavillion at Epcot. I recommend The combination of Akershus (1 table credit )and Be Our Guest( 2 table credits unless you go to lunch instead )for an excellent trip. Yes I liked the decor of Cinderella’s Table, but I enjoyed the decor of the other two as well.

We are going back for my daughters birthday in October 2021... this will mark our 10th visit and I had never done the royal table but I celebrated my birthday at Cinderella’s royal table and we had a marvelous time they treated me the same as they would a kid celebrating there I got the full treatment and really felt special. We went at breakfast and I enjoyed it very much. It’s so cool to be in the castle. This next time we will go at dinner in the castle for her birthday since she wants to do the tea service at the grand Floridian at lunch time. I didn’t pull out all the stops for my birthday there but I certainly will for my baby girl. I plan on doing the cake and room decor. The whole nine. I love all your videos. I have never gotten to do be our guest so that’s def on the list for us. We always do the deluxe (3 sit down meals or 3 quick service and 2 snacks) because we LOVE to eat at Disney and consider it a huge part of our trip... so I’ll use my credits for breakfast at be our guest or use them for lunch. But I know one thing for sure that I’m doing different this time especially now that my kids are almost all grown up and all will be grown by the time I get there (she’s turning 18 there) so the one thing is my planning I always use a Disney planner who’s a friend and I love that but I’m going to map out my trip a lot better I usually besides fast passes and meal reservations just let us decide day to day what we do but I’ve been watching all your video’s and I’m making a huge book with all my planning in it so we can really make the most of our money. It takes me a year to pay off our trip and it’s worth it but I really realize by watching your videos that even with all my trips there I haven’t made the most of my money. I’m very excited to go again being so much better educated.... thanks AJ and all of you at DFB!!

I prefer BOG for lunch as well. It is fun to get a picture with Beast at dinner, but the food is about the same for lunch and dinner and lunch is much less expensive. I recommend trying to eat in the West Wing - very cool. Love to watch the petals fall from the Rose. I also love that you fill your own drink, which allows you to take one to go. Breakfast is a great value if you have the meal plan, otherwise I would skip it - although they will bring you as many pastries as you would like, so you never have to leave hungry.

I think you used to be able to *walk in* to Cinderella's Royal Table and just ask to be seated, like 20+ years ago. I'm fairly certain that happened, because I remember a time a little over 10 years ago when my family went to Disney World, and the plan was to have lunch at that restaurant, but I distinctly remember our father being informed that in order to eat there, you need to get a reservation like six months in advance. I'm sure the waiting time is well over a year by now.

We had reservations for neither when we traveled last year on a very busy day, 12/30. We were able to find BOG for breakfast -- it magically became available on the app the day before (12/29). We walked into the park EARLY - during extra magic hours and inquired at Cinderella's castle about getting in for dinner that same day. To my surprise, they were able to accommodate us for a late dinner. And, we had no problem cancelling Tony's Town Square, day of, in-person (no penalty).

I would choose NEITHER for breakfast! I agree lunch @ BOG. We will also have dinner @ CRT... It's good. For two table service credits, I wish they gave you options for the appetizer rather than a shared meat & cheese platter, but whatever... The quality of the entrees -- fish and beef -- have both been good when we visited. Dessert was fantastic. I liked the gifts of wands and swords they gave our kids. I am looking forward to returning.

We are at be our guest this past trip in September. Hands down the worst meal we had on property. I will never go back. If you can I much rather recommend akurshus in Epcot over both of these restaurants. It's only one dinning credit, has a good selection of food and has the princess.

I will be going to both on my next trip for dinner, my last trip we went to BOG for breakfast and my daughter loved it now I will be taking her to CRT and BOG for dinner so she can get the experience. I always hear you say you have to at least go once to CRT.

Have eaten at both. Would definitely eat lunch or dinner at Be Our Guest again but wouldn't repeat breakfast. CRT was wonderful to experience once (we did breakfast) but it is ridiculously expensive, not especially nice and we felt rushed. Character interaction was far better at Akershus.

I have to disagree on the food front. I have never eaten at Be Our Guest for dinner, and I've only eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner, but that was one of the greatest meals I had my entire trip (only to be compared to the amazing lunch I had at Chefs de France). The menu has definitely changed since I went, but we had the meat and cheese plate for the starter and for my entree I had something similar to the beef and shrimp that is on the menu now, but I'm 110% sure the cut I was served was a filet. I am an absolute SNOB about steak and this was wonderful. It was seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and everything that came with it was great. I even tried the shrimp (I hate shrimp, but it was okay for being shrimp). I ate the entire carrot that came with my meal (I don't EVER eat cooked carrots. I hate the flavor), and the potatoes that came with it were wonderful as well. I still dream about that meal sometimes 😂. I don't think it was worth the price, but it sure was hella good!

I thought a nice little perk was the interaction you got with Cinderella when waiting to be seated and of course you received that nice picture in the paper frame ...does anyone know if they still do that ? I also loved it when they had the mice and fairy god mother there . Does anyone know where we can find fairy god mother and the mice ? We haven't been in years and are going back with a 6 yr old Cinderella lovin girl in Jan . !!

I like to refer to Be Our Guest as “Sois Notre Invité”, not only does it fit with the source material’s setting (France), but it’s fun to pronounce. It's homey, but just hard enough to pronounce to intimidate the riff-raff
…either that or I’ve been watching too much Frasier.

Never been to WDW but am going with a group of 5 (all my friends) and this helped us figure out which. Food, cost, and atmosphere is the priority. Cinderella's (even though she's my favorite princess) seems like an overpriced Medieval Times experience, which we plan on going to as well.

Note that this video is from Oct 2017... Be Our Guest has changed. it is now a Prix fixe menu as well, and is VERY expensive. Take a look at the WDW website for the latest menu & pricing. Also, I believe that Beast is no longer a fixture at Be Our Guest.

I’m not understanding why these are being compared, but...CRT is hands down better than BOG. Be Our Guest in my opinion is like hospital cafeteria food, and I went for lunch. It was very crowded and very noisy AND I COULDN’T GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH. That being said, I still enjoyed seeing the inside of the Beast’s castle. I wish there was another way to see it without having to book a meal reservation.

Another one of your concise accurate fun reviews. Thanks. For me the main reason to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table is if someone in your party really needs to see the princesses. IMHO much better doing it over a meal but as you suggest, the food was just ok and the price was pretty outrageous However the character interaction was amazing. Maybe do it just once. Totally agree with you about lunch at Be Our Guest. non sequitur sidenote: Took me a while to dictate this, Siri insisted on calling the restaurant be aghast.

I would do BOG for breakfast or lunch. It's quick service but the food is good. We did dinner there once and it was a bad experience. We had reservations at 8 so we should have had time to see the fireworks show. We didn't get in to the restaurant until almost 9 and missed the whole fireworks show. I have never had to wait that long with a reservation at Disney before. When we got inside, half the tables were empty so I have no idea why it took so long to get in.

Your assessment was very good and I agree. In our experience (and everyone has expectations and things they're looking for), it would be "Be Our Guest" hands down. We found the food clearly better than CRT and a much, MUCH better overall value. If you're bent on seeing the princesses, then CRT once. But we liked (when our kids were little) going to the restaurants at the Polynesian Resort and Animal Kingdom Resort. Character interaction was great, the food was MUCH better, and it was a greater value. But between these 2, I'd go with "Be Our Guest".

Just finish doing akershus, it was awesome! The princesses were very interactive, the pastry buffett was delicious and the breakfast food, average, yet very fulfilling and unlimited. Went witg 5 little girls and they loved it. They refill their juices, my coffee and bought out 3 plates of food. Highly recommend the akershus breakfast.

I guess the atmosphere part is pretty subjective since I don’t actually love the decor and atmosphere of Be Our Guest, but I love the look of Cinderella’s! I’ve never been to either, but I’m going to WDW for 5 days next year with my sister and her friend, and we ultimately decided we want to eat at Cinderella’s bc we like the idea of eating in the castle and we like the atmosphere and characters better! But I do agree the cost is pretty crazy!

I will probably need to book 6 months in advance for this restaurant but after looking at the video AJ, I would probably pick Be Our Guest why because it's a lot cheaper and there are not too many noisy kids there.

I would mostly agree with this. However, last week we went to CRT for lunch. I did it for the experience knowing that the food would be “meh”. Our entrees were exceptional. I got the beef and shrimp, my husband the chicken dish and we both consider them our favorite. My steak tasted and was tender like filet mignon (it did not specify the kind of steak) it was perfectly cooked and flavorful- shrimp was delicious and the potatoes Were yummy. My husband loved his chicken. We both were thrilled with the appetizer or dessert, they were just okay- but our entrees were surprisingly good. Yes, it’s overpriced, but most of Disney is.
Be our guest, we had for breakfast and it was fine. Not good or bad, just fine- and also overpriced like CRT.
I like them both for the experience. I wouldn’t return to CRT for a couple years though. There’s plenty in Disney to try
