How is your playing going? I'm 58 and would also like to learn. My brother sadly passed away this year. He played when younger. His cello is sitting in the house and I feel it would be a tribute to him to learn. Such a beautiful sound.
I would truly love to know how your playing is going! It's okay if plan set it down for a moment, you can always pick it up again. But if it wasn't meant to be long-term, I know it was truly special every moment you got to have with The instrument, creating true majesty. I always have to remember that it's the journey, not the destination, and those first moments with an instrument can be the absolute best you'll ever have, much better than once. You mastured and it's just a common place to play the greats. It's important to pick up new instruments from time to time, sometimes a different one fits even better🙂 just my cup of tea - keeping things always a mystery
