My top 3 albums of this year have to be This place will become your tomb, Das Album, and Eternal Blue but it was really close between Swan Song, Horizons/East, and eternal blue

I know the identities, and I can tell you for sure it's nothing worth knowing because you wouldn't recognize them anyways. The secrecy just makes it that much more enticing
@@moseygosey the drummer is a session drummer/teacher who operates near where I used to live, if you listen around you might hear him on other artists songs within the scene - while vessel himself occasionally plays piano for other bands (whom you have definitely heard of) and is credited under his real name - searching his real name reveals his old indie-folk band, where his voice is instantly recognisable.

It's been a long time I layed down and listened to an album in full. I watched every visualizer, with no distractions. When I was done, I just started again. It's such an emotional journey. And the music videos in between the visualizers hit very differently. It's so powerful. It's another Masterpiece. AOTY. They are killing it. Worship!
Man I’ve been playing progressive rock, metal, and jazz for over three decades. I’m school trained in music composition and theory. I understand what this drummer is doing, but cant seem to replicate the way he fills up the space with complex rhythms and fills, that last for two bars, all the while staying in the pocket! I can promise there aren’t many drummers that can do that! It’s almost as if he’s laying down two layered beats, on top of each other. Impeccable timing and feel! So sick! Love that he doesn’t lean on double kicks to cover up lack of chops. Wish I had a clie who this guy is, because I’ve never heard playing like that. How the bell does he replicate this on stage, guessing he improvs like Elliott Hoffman(Car Bomb).
Please check out High Water if you haven't already. It's absolutely insane. Sleep Token are without a doubt one of the best bands in the scene and by far my favorite band of all time.

yeah i've seen a random review of this album from some metal magazine before it even came out, and all it said was that the entire album sucked because it was not "metal enough" and that they were selling themselves/losing its roots or shit like that, talking as if ST have declaired themselves as a metal band, which obviously did not happen and it's all bullshit, since ST was never even primarily metal or something sometimes it makes me mad how much a metalhead can say shit to every other genre in this world besides the genre they like, i mean, cmon' man we are in 2021 how long does it gonna take so people can learn that a song can be "not so metal" and absolutely fuckin great at the same time
So the punchy forefronted drums with vibey vocals makes it fucking Hypnotic. You listen to the tick tock of the gnarliest pocket watch, while you fall into the the glorious pit of atmosphere guiding you to hit repeat.
I'm glad we are finally seeing all the support (which is rising everyday as the new singles have been dropped one by one) this band deserves. Actually, it deserves way more, but it is getting there. Worship.
I’ve never had a band that I can connect with on EVERY single song they write. No matter where they take me on their crazy spectrum, I’m right there with them.
I never was super into sleep token until i saw them live in Melbourne last weekend. Their performance had blown me away into my own world in a slight trance in the middle of a packed massive venue. Now have huge amount of respect for the band and the diversity of their sound. I’m hooked! 👍

I'm 100% sure the drummer channels the energy of the Sleep God through his sticks. And the Vessel brought a little bit of funk in that series of lyrics in how he stretched the words over 3 frames. Masterful work and a masterful album.
I don't know if you watched the drum playthrough for alkaline and hypnosis but they are amazing. II is the epitome of pocket drumming and playing to the the song
The song is pretty dope, and gotta say bro you make your videos worth watching cuz when you like something the goofy shit that comes out of your mouth has me dying laughing sometimes. I've done some digging - everyone seems to love this band and the only people who hate them appear to be audio engineers and prog snobs, which honestly doesn't surprise me.

Sleep Token is such an unpredictable band. This song is a mix between Alter Bridge, Depeche Mode and heavy ass progmetal. Amazing song!

In average Nik's intro is now 22 seconds. Compare that to 10 months ago (about Post human EP) it was about 40 seconds
