Or "I was a button mashy nub, and therefore got poked with a long range attack, combo'd into the wall, and thereafter murdered with extreme prejudice by someone actually knowing what they were doing"... which is more likely. ... Yeah, there are tons of fighting game educational content around there. If you're looking for people talking about player matches and analyzing their mistakes, then you're looking for "Match Analysis" videos. Top players do this from time to time looking at their replays but commentators are better for it. I kinda expected you to make an absolute celebration out of getting your beloved saw into Warframe. Well judging by the amount of times you mentioned it in your reviews, I was more expecting as much happiness from you or sht(depending on how good the weapon in your opinion would be) as much fireworks they use on the 4th of July.
I'd also have mentioned burst and yrc when talking about defense as its nice as a new player to know that when you mess up and get hit, you have a get out of jail card on the table.
Hm, I'm torn. On one hand, I'm glad Trib is trying something new with his content. On the other, even as someone who knows many of the conventions and terminologies of fighting games, I had a hard time following this video. For example, while I'm familiar with the term, I don't think he ever explained what mix-ups and cross-ups are, going straight into the differences and applications of their different varieties.
Crosss up is, to quote Dustloop "A crossup is an attack that hits the opponent on the opposite side, forcing the opponent to change the direction they are blocking from left to right (or vice versa)."
It does feel, to me, like fighting games are what RTS's are if you scaled down the time a match took. The reading the opponent, trying to get a lever in, using your timing to throw off theirs, stuff like that. There's a lot of parallels in the vs. aspect of it.
Almost all competitive games can be interpreted that way I believe.... It's what makes them intimidating at first but also its what makes them Awesome !

XD
great vid trib, entertaining and educational on a newbie level, you really show how good you are at making entertaining begginer vids
As a faust user. Item throw is a much better pressure tool than anyone thinks it is, regardless of what you get. Also afro is God's gift to his toolkit.
This video has been out for 2 hours and it's 100% a hood classic for mw
i would sell my children to see trib playing melty blood type lumina
8:50 man that is such a small detail.
Sweet Vid Trib. :-) I'm old school fighting game(I remember playing the original two-button Street Fighter in arcades :-) ). While I'm no longer the glitchy-twitchy kid that could pull off a quad ultra in KI, this video did get me looking at Guilty Gear. :-) It makes up for a certain incomplete run that....we won't talk about. :-P
HAPPY CHAOS VID *INHALESSSSS* when if ever?
1:16 i was like "aha aha" then "wait wot ?"
5:20 and you show faust next frame i never know Faust what to do or is doing
I Understand literally none of the words in this video 10/10 I’m picking up Strive right now time to dedicate my life to it
I see you with the heavenly pogtemkin busta
It took me five minutes to notice that you changed the background in Council of Three.
EDIT: _the paintings too, you monster_
Timestamp please?
I kinda expected you to make an absolute celebration out of getting your beloved saw into Warframe.
Well judging by the amount of times you mentioned it in your reviews, I was more expecting as much happiness from you or sht(depending on how good the weapon in your opinion would be) as much fireworks they use on the 4th of July.
I'd also have mentioned burst and yrc when talking about defense as its nice as a new player to know that when you mess up and get hit, you have a get out of jail card on the table.
yeah but try explain roman cancels in a beginners friendly way
17:22 you dropped that combo didn't you...
Hm, I'm torn. On one hand, I'm glad Trib is trying something new with his content.
On the other, even as someone who knows many of the conventions and terminologies of fighting games,
I had a hard time following this video.
For example, while I'm familiar with the term, I don't think he ever explained what mix-ups and cross-ups are, going straight into
the differences and applications of their different varieties.
idk I understood it so
Nah, he explained them. They're pretty intuitive for fighting game terms, too. A mix-up is literally mixing up your attacks, after all :)
Crosss up is, to quote Dustloop "A crossup is an attack that hits the opponent on the opposite side, forcing the opponent to change the direction they are blocking from left to right (or vice versa)."
Just the intro of "welcome to guilty gear strive... Cunt" fucking beautifull 😂😂
not expected from Trib
Very happy for this
The ammount of astolfo I've seen in 1 video is god ammount
Drowned in Astolfo, i lose my mind
It does feel, to me, like fighting games are what RTS's are if you scaled down the time a match took. The reading the opponent, trying to get a lever in, using your timing to throw off theirs, stuff like that. There's a lot of parallels in the vs. aspect of it.
Almost all competitive games can be interpreted that way I believe.... It's what makes them intimidating at first but also its what makes them Awesome !
Do you think you could do a video on the new tenet weapons? Or syndacate weapons? No better idea, GHOULSAW!
*cries in getting destroyed by machamp in pokken tournament dx*
This was...not the strive reviewer I expected... 10/10
1:16 you can't just toss that in there and expect me to not notice
The fact that this incredibly well produced video gets less video because it’s not warframe is C R I M I N A L
