You can blame me for those. Keep in mind they were recorded in 1999 or so and yes, they totally suck by today's standards. Back then PBX phones just had things like chirp 1 and you couldn't change them. When we came out with the first Cisco built IP Phone (7960) we used samples downloaded from the CUCM with the exception of Chirp 1 and Chirp 2 which are generated at run-time. The male "Are you there?" ringtone is me. Your phone system admin can upload custom ringtones. If you have an old tool Cisco released called "Phone Suite" it allowed users to customize their own ringtones. Phone Suite also had some modern ring tones that were professionally done when it came out (maybe 10 years ago). We did contemporary ringtones a few years ago that are also used on our Telepresence systems and I believe were also put on the newer CUCM systems.
Alex Shimmin Unfortunately Chirp 1 and Chirp 2 are calculated inside the DSP on the phone at run-time, so they do not exist as files. You would have to record one of the phones playing that ringtone to capture it.
Alex Shimmin Not familiar with Unity Connection. If it is like our other collaboration products, they are just going to be raw audio files located on the server somewhere.
Darrick Deel back in 2001 we had this phone... You were able to program contacts through the web Link.. We hijacked our coworkers phone through the link and put FU$& YOU as her contact... When she complained about it (not knowing it was us) we changed it back before she got back to her seat..
I worked in a 24 hr office on night shift and occasionally I’d change a coworker’s phone to the female “Are you there?” At max volume just as a mildly harmless prank for day shift. Good laughs. Also, if you have an office number (multiple phones ring at once) having one on Saxophone 1 and another on Saxophone 2 produces humorous results.
Random fact: Cisco paid for product placement in The Office for close-up shots of the phones and use of the ringers (Chirp 1, to be exact). Props to the "chime" tone as it's the one I've chosen and is the least grating. We like to change coworkers' phones to the "are you there?" though when they go on vacation so they have a nice surprise to come back to...
Everyone in my old work (busy call centre) used to select Saxophone 1 or 2...I found out in my new job today that we have the same phones with the same ringtones...Saxophone 1 and 2 haunt my dreams lol
I did this when I was working on a Friday night a long time ago. I was kinda pissed off at the world... didn’t think that it would get 100k views. Thanks for the love...
Are you there scared the heck out of me. Now the saxophone 1 and 2 was hilarious one of my co workers did a lil sexy dance to it and we all cracked up man good times in obgyn
LMFAO my middle school's detention monitor used analog synth 2... it was so loud that you could hear the phone ringing in the principal's office, which was on the other side of the area. 10/10
dont talk shit about saxophone 2, its the best ringtone ever, I'm a celebrity at my workplace because all the ip phones are blocked except mine and i use that ringtone
I remember crying in the office at school because my I was being a little POS and my teacher sent me there...and 0:15 was the ringtone of EVERY secretary there so this is giving me flashbacks and they’re not pleasant
At work I often put my colleagues phone on the female "Are you there?" and max the volume. Scares the shit out of him in the morning when he gets his first phone call.

Sorry, but I do not. Pretty sure all of the voice work is outsourced to professional voice work agencies.

Saxophone 1 triggered my PTSD, I was in a terrible school and that was one of the ringtones of the phones that were used.
Random fact: Cisco paid for product placement in The Office for close-up shots of the phones and use of the ringers (Chirp 1, to be exact).

I used to work at a call center with these phones and I enjoyed the bass and the drums 2 is definitely my favorite! Nothing like a drum beat to ring!

The first one, I heard all throughout my youth lol

Chime sounds like something you'd hear when they flash the production company card at the very end of a TV show.

So imagine, an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine ending as follows:
Not a doctor. Shh!
Fremulon!

Come on! Saxophone 2 sounds like a porn theater or something...
Reminds me of a place i frequent almost daily. i heard a decent amount of tones here i know people use.
The Chirp 1 ringer sounds like a lower-pitched version of a ringer on an AT&T/Lucent/Avaya phone.
I love that first one 😍😍
We use Cisco 7942G without CUCM and in "default rings" i have only two rings "Chirp1" and "Chirp2". Please, how can I add other rings?

Our CIO uses this ring tone. I call it the 1940s sexy scene tone. If
you saw what she looks like you would laugh your ass off.
Mines is the Koto Effect at work, but I hate that it has very limited rings
on my spa525g I use the Office ringtone (the one known from RobotChicken or as I heard, more commonly from 24 that Jack Bauer is using) :-P
