Hate to be a pedant, but for the accuracy of the record: "Bittersweet Symphony" is not the original source. The string refrain was actually sampled from a 1965 orchestral version of the Rolling Stones song "The Last Time" by the Andrew Oldham Orchestra. The Verve used it, unauthorised, and seem to get all the credit, but it's not actually their composition. In fact, as I recall, the Stones sued them.
