Bravura by Charles Duble. Bravura is also the official march of the US Army (Infantry) Ceremonial Regiment in Washington DC which regiment is officially the "Escort to the President," since 1947. I was a soldier in the regiment for four grand years performing the duties and marching to the tune virtually weekly at the least. The US Army Band (Ceremonial) includes playing the tune each time it performs at a Washington ceremony, parade, review. Duble wrote the music with a matador in mind so it also transfers easily to the domain of the armed forces warrior. It does too, as we see in the video, lend itself to the tradition in Japan of the Samurai. The performance of the Sakigake Rokko school students, faculty, staff and supporters in this event is brilliant as is their choice of Bravuro as an element of music support and enhancement in the application of it to the grand march. Congratulations and thank you to the Sakigake Rokko community at large.
