@spsenator most Brazilians that I meet, tell me that its such a great honour for them that an Australian would learn and represent Brazilian music/culture. Music and Dance are here to be enjoyed... and there is no shame in us "white" folks getting in touch with our rhythm in what ever genre we choose. These guys are doing great.... GOOD SHOW

Surreal! Tocam como baianos. Depois da bossa nova o samba reggae é a modalidade de samba mais fácil de ser assimilado por estrangeiros. Uma ótima opção para introdução aos ritmos da MPB.
I can't believe the amount of loser comments on this video.... This video is great!!!! This is samba reggae, not samba carioca.... theres no need for the tamborim player to go crazy, they are doing a great job, providing just what is needed. The little tricks and expressive moves are awesome and I really love the laid back relaxed groove! Its sweet! Its impressive without out being "SHOW OFF"... and the smiles are cool. Keep it up!!!
How is it that it is both "your society" and a fair society (for us) at the same time? How is it you hold all the power, yet we have "equal opportunity"? That is a contradiction. Why is it "racism" when we lay claim to our heritage, yet the first thing you tell us when we challenge your authority is to "be happy we are tolerated" or "go back to Africa"? We are forced to know your point of view. In your isolation, however, you are free from the burden of having to consider ours.
Its okay, but there are two things: The Outfit sucks& Why you need a tamborim if there are so few players? Tamborim ins completely unecessary in Samba Reggae
I love samba but the tamborim is dumb ? Have you seen a REALLY good tamborim player ? watch a couple of videos on here of the experts and see if you still think that.

To address the music: This is closer to a European miltary march rhythm than any Samba or Reggae. A march on Pan-African culture...poorly executed.
