The sentinel thing for Solar is based on a very old GW sentinel design apparently! Also makes sense cause the one from LI is called a “heavy sentinel” so I’d imagine this one is a scout/light sentinel
1:01:11 don’t cav get shrouded when they run as part of the unit type rule? If so, then they don’t need the extra shooting reaction for shrouded because they already have it if they ran.
Vehicles ignore difficult terrain, but it becomes Dangerous Terrain instead. Eskaton has an interesting synergy being a mounted force. Similarly, Dreadwing Jetbikes and Speeders also ignore difficult terrain and dangerous terrain. Something else I've been wanting to try is A Forge Lord to take Thallax which could gain Dreadwing for ignoring Dangerous Terrain.
@@FrakMunkie yes it does. Page 242 of the rule book 3rd paragraph down under the infiltrate rule. "If a unit with Infiltrate deploys inside a Dedicated Transport, the same rules apply when deploying their Transport." The same rules being deploying 9" out of los or 12" in or out of los.
On the Seeker’s Arrow Rite v. Sky Hunter: I think you guys are missing the biggest comparison. You did mention the dreadnought issue. But your infantry do not have to deploy in flyers. So, you can still run an infantry heavy army that leans into bikes for certain roles. No, they will not score, but even jetbikes aren’t great for just sitting on objectives and surviving. Use your bikes to get around the board, buffed with independent characters, etc. I am a Dark Angel player and it took me going back after a year to really figure this out. If you lean into it, this can be a great rite. But I do appreciate your insight on the Deathwing Rite, so now I need to go back and look at that again…
as someone who was burned super hard by the serpent's bane losing by 8 points after failing to kill all 3 targets I was quick to chuck it in the bin as trash but after this I am curious to try and find a way to make it work. I have had some success with a storm of war list that ran 2 blocks of tacs, a bus of knights cennobium w/ senchal of the keys and a biomancer librarian, 10 dreadwing interemptors in a rhino, A Sicaran Venator, 2 vindicators w/laser destroyer, and 2 sabers w/Volkite, if I really hate my oponent I have run an Eskiton Imparative with a bunch of graviton weapons but it felt a bit mean
Id temper expectations about the full knight/Titan Imperialis armies. I read the article that made it sound like its a seperate game type where you cant take anything smaller than an Armiger
Gonna hav eto be quick on Apothecary launch day. I only have 1 army but will be buying 2 packs. I can't imagine how many others would need. Hopefully they do techmarines soon since like the last FW apothecaries, they are a bit dated and crusty.
Important thing unmentioned on firewing is lighting claws, while super cool idea for those specialized hunters, suffer immensly if you give them firewing, due to reducing pool of dice you can fish with for 6s rending. Im super sad about it, becouse lightning claws are my single favorite weapon. And first legion is probably closest to me making it. Alpha legion os just slightly too... annoying with banestrike being so underwhelming and headhunters not fitting newer scale as upgrades.
IMPORTANT THING! You two suggested inductii for Rites of War lists for DA.! THATS WRONG. YOU CANT DO THAT! Most of those Rites of War need all your troops to have preset hexagramaton, and inductii dont have hexagramaton, so you cant take them at all. Whatmore, Medders said that your tacticals are always better. Again wrong for same preset need from rite of war limitations...
You're sleeping on Dreadwing, volkite culverins needing 6's to wound contemptors, plasma needing 6's on leviathans!
The timing for this is perfect, I've decided to go all in on heresy this year and I've gone with DA because the Lion is my boy!
Great show! *watches while highlighting a 10-man Ironwing Lascannon squadron*
That’s a chaos wardog head on the warbringer Titan, didn’t know they would fit but looks amazing.

Yeah it look very similar to the Rogue Trader & 2nd Ed 40K Sentinel designs
Glad you like the mini chaps!

The one downside of running is that the unit can’t shoot or charge that turn. An extra shooting reaction allows you to get around it.
@@ShadowGhost0117 right, but I believe that ran so they had Shrouded already. He wasted the reaction by using it on someone who already had Shrouded.

Came for Heresy, stayed for Tesco chat.
😂😂😂 poor Tesco's dude!!!

Dreadwing is definitely done best with transports, jump packs and cavalry.
Was wondering if they'd use the slaughter book to launch space battles or maybe further down the line
This is just what I needed to get me through nightshift!
is this available in podcast form anywhere?
Steel fist might be funny with 3x recon squads and infiltrating land raiders XD
Infiltrate doesn't confer to dedicated transports.

@@latro666 I retract my statement then.
